"'The Prince swings and turns, stabs and churns, hoping to catch Tristan who expertly dodges the attack. But alas no! The hero meets his match and Tristan falls, sword in side!'"
"Tristan! Elise screams she runs to his side. She looks at his wound tears streaming down her face."
"'The Prince laughs maniacally, ready to deal the final blow. Brave Elise stands and pushes him aside. He stumbles and alas! He falls from the window, to his demise!'"
"Elise lays down next to Tristan and looks at the sword wound. She takes her shawl and tries to take the sword out and tries to stop the bleeding."
"'Tristan coughs and looks up at her. 'Elise' he whispers. She smiles, tears in her eyes. He would survive. She would be sure of it.'"
"'And so, with Elise's love and care, Tristan grew better by day. And their love grew until, in the bright, bountiful months of summer, they were wed.'"
"'And so we end the love story of Elise and Tristan, with a summer breeze floating through town.'" Asha strings the definitive chord and stops. She then giggles and grins. "That was great! Did you get it all down?"
"Great! I'm sure well make plenty!" Asha giggles and at that moment, the caravan rolls over a bump, making everything shake inside their baskets and boxes. Asha pauses a moment to check if everything alright before giggling again. "That means we're near the city."
Jasmine stands up and walks to the exit of the caravan and steps onto the small platform to exit. She stands there and looks around the caravan wall to see ahead. "I do see the city!" she exclaims. "And it's beautiful!"
"What kind of adventure do you think we'll encounter?" Asha sighs, looking at its gleaming towers and buildings. And all across one bridge.
"Girls! Get back in!" their father scolds them lightly as it can be dangerous to hang off the caravan. Asha does so and starts to get ready, throwing on shawls and her shoes.
The caravan rolls over the gorge, the rushing river flowing below. Then, it enters the splendid city, loud with noise and colours. "Look at their clothes!" Asha whispers, seeing women walk around with shawls around their faces and bells on their belts.
"And exotic." Asha finishes off her sister's sentence. Suddenly, the caravan stops and their father appears around the back."My angels!" he cries out with open arms.
"Come on girls. I need help unpacking the things." he tells them.Asha whines a bit "But can't we check out the market first? Please?"
He sighs and nods "Half an hour only."
"Oh wow, look a this." Asha fingers a delicate and ornate pendant. Suddenly, the shop keeper snatches it straight from underneath her nose and holds it protectively. In rough English, he says "Not for sale. Go."
"Very well." Asha nods and walks away. "Weird one huh?" she asks, and just then, she hears the shop keeper cry out in a different language. She turns around to see a man running from the last store, and in his hands, the pendant she was told not to touch!
Jasmine nods but when she hears the man cry out. She turns and sees a man holding the pendant in his hands.
"Wha-" Asha begins but then guards break through the crowd and follow the man, crying out for his arrest. Asha grabs Jasmine's hand. "Come on." she urges, running after them.
"Don't get lost." Asha whispers as they slip through the crowd, following the thief and the guards. Whatever that pendant was, it was important! Maybe even magical...
Asha moves through the throng of people but they resisted - people started pushing back and seemingly stopping them from reaching the thief. The guards were also held back. "So this is a planned robbery! I'll bet my harp that these men are just helping the thief!" Asha hisses to her sister, looking for a way around them.
Asha looks along the battlements of the low building to see the thief climb up on them and continue to run. The guards don't notice. She whistles loudly to the men and points up. They then climb and chase after him once more. She runs into an open house and up the stairs, aiming to get onto the roof herself.
"Jasmine! Come on! I could really use some back up!" Asha hisses, sticking her hand out below to help her sister ascend onto the roof.
Asha smiles as she helps Jasmine, looking out in the corner of her eye for the thief as he dashed over the rooftops, followed by guards. At that moment, her grip loosened as she was distracted and threatened to drop Jasmine onto the ground.Just in time, another hand dashed out to grasp onto Jasmine's and helped her climb onto the roof.
When Asha's grip loosens on her. Jasmine asks "Asha What are you doing?" She asked trying not to fall. Until another hand grabs her and helps her climb up onto the roof.
The hand helps Jasmine up onto the roof and Asha moves aside to let her sister on. She then looks over at the person who had assisted them to find a young palace guard, a bit naive looking wholesome with a brilliant smile."Just lending a hand." he explains.
((not to spoil the surprise or anything, but I'm thinking this guy could be yours if you like him. :3 ))
Jasmine blushes a little. When she sees that hmthe person who helped her was a young guard. "Thank you." she said softly. ((yea he can be mine:-)))
"It's no problem. Not to be rude but there's a bit of a chase going on so have a good day ladies." he bows quickly and dashes off agilely, leaping over rooftops in pursuit of the thief.Asha turns to her sister and grins. "WOW!"
