Per the rules of the challenge--you have to use the paperback version to determine page length, so it won't work for option 2

as for option 4--the color doesn't seem to be more than half of the book, so that won't work either. Sorry.

Sam, that looks grey on my computer. I see some black writing down at the bottom that of the cover that looks actually black, so I would have to say no.

message 67: by Samantha McNulty (new)

Samantha McNulty For #6, would The Princess Diaries work? In the brackets, it says first published 2000.

Yes that works. You are going by the first published date.

Sorry, Wanda but this is a mostly grey/silver cover so it won't work. Was that the edition that you meant to link?

Deana (ablotial) | 276 comments Hello! Does The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao work for option 3? It is about half set in the Dominican Republic but also half set in New Jersey. Or do you want the entire book to take place in the Caribbean.

If a good portion of the book is set in the DR, I'll take it. I've never read the book, so I'll use your judgement.

message 82: by Deana (new)

Deana (ablotial) | 276 comments Thanks! Yes, all of the "historical" parts of the novel take place there, and about half of the modern day.
