Breann | 398 comments I went snooping around after I read your comment, Dee, and it looks like she's done writing but doesn't know when it will be out. Hopefully soon! Cause I'm so caught up on reading books I already own that I can just keep piling on the tbr and everything. Yeah... riiiiight...

No, I just ran off to check out what book you were talking about. It looks good, my first love is Fantasy! Are you all reading it here in RRRC?

You are going to get me into so much trouble!! Like I don't already buy enough books and read too much of the time (in my hubby's opinion anyway, I don't think there is any such thing!)

D.G. | 4477 comments Karen - I finished my second pick: Lessons in French by Laura Kinsale . Very witty book. The hero is hilarious! Thanks for giving me the push to read it.

I'll definitely fit in Dream Lake (Friday Harbor, #3) by Lisa Kleypas but I need to catch up on books I have to review so it will be later in the month! :)

message 413: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments oh for anyone reading Lisa Klepyas Friday Harbor series - Christmas with Holly which is Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor is going to be on TV sunday night on the Hallmark channel

message 419: by Breann (new)

Breann | 398 comments I know, me too! But I keep reminding myself that Christmas break is coming. (yay!) I've been wanting to do more group/buddy reads though. I'll have to lessen the other challenges then.

Katie | 2083 comments NayNay --

I just finished Lover Reborn...4 stars. I liked it a lot...so much more than the few previous ones. I'm looking forward to the next one in March! Thanks for the pick.

message 422: by Breann (new)

Breann | 398 comments Lover Reborn was my favorite one in the series. Glad to get away from the lessers!

Brett | 478 comments Dee wrote: "oh for anyone reading Lisa Klepyas Friday Harbor series - Christmas with Holly which is Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor is going to be on TV sunday night on the Hallmark channel"

Really? It's based on the book? I've seen the commercials for, but I didn't know it was based on Lisa Kleypas's book.

message 424: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments yeah - the newer books that have been released, have actually been retitled Christmas with Holly - not Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor

message 425: by [deleted user] (new)

I ended up reading and finishing Club Shadowlands, which I really enjoyed. (4stars) It was a nice short and definitely steamy read. ;) Thanks for the pick, Gigi! I've been curious about it for quite some time.

Kami (aidansmama) | 988 comments Christina wrote: "Kami - I just finished Wicked Nights not long ago and I just wanted to let you know that you are in for a treat. This was the first one that I read by Gena Showalter and I loved the book."

You are right. I loved it. I just finished it and gave it five stars. I loved Annabelle and Zacharel. This is only the second Gena Showalter book I've read. I read the first Lords of the Underworld book. I really like this Angels of the Dark series. Koldo's story is next.

message 428: by Kami (new)

Kami (aidansmama) | 988 comments I think I might read a third pick for this challenge Lover Enshrined (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #6) by J.R. Ward.

message 429: by ~Melissa~ (last edited Dec 08, 2012 08:04PM) (new)

~Melissa~ | 2097 comments Fran finished two of my picks so far. A Dark Kiss of Rapture a prequel for the Renegade Angels series. This was a good intro to the characters. Making me want to check out A Touch of Crimson.
I'll Be Your Drill, Soldier I really enjoyed this as my first m-m book. Thanks for the recommendation. Took a little bit to get into the book but then took off for me. Loved the emails ~ cracked me up!! I've also been slowly readingThe Party Boy's Guide to Dating a Geek in between other books I'm reading. Honestly so far Ash is kind of irritating but maybe it's just me,lol.

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments umm, who is the deleted user that left - I think Gigi picked for her - anyone know what happened?

message 433: by S (new)

S (booksstarsmoon) | 220 comments I finished my first pick Devil's Bride (Cynster, #1) by Stephanie Laurens . I really liked it and will continue this series but I didn't care for the heroine.

I'm glad you enjoyed Dark Kiss and I'll Be Your Drill Soldier :)
I hope Party Boy gets better for you. For me, Fee was a little annoying- running hot and cold with Ash.

I finished On Dublin Street by Samantha Young . I loved it. Thanks for the rec.

~KarenH~ | 11338 comments Dee wrote: "umm, who is the deleted user that left - I think Gigi picked for her - anyone know what happened?"

Dee, dynamite was the person who dropped out - I don't have any idea what happened, but she apparently withdrew from the group entirely - doesn't have RRRC listed as one of her groups anymore. She's new to GR though, just joined last month, so I assumed she just changed her mind and decided we weren't what she was looking for. :(

message 438: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments Daffodil -i finished The Perfect Hope - thanks for the recommend - it was what I needed after a crappy saturday dealing with car issues - NR is a comfort read for me - happy to see everything tied up

message 439: by Penney (new)

Penney (pschoener) | 3553 comments Hi Skandia, I finished reading If I Were You (Inside Out Trilogy, #1) by Lisa Renee Jones and I'm kinda on the fence about it. It was a little too close to Fifty Shades of Grey, especially the writing style, and that took my attention away from the book. Also it's a cliffhanger. If the author had resolved some of the issues in the book before the cliffhanger it wouldn't have been so bad, but as it is, I just feel cheated and looking for some answers, not necessarily excited about whats to come. I'll still move on to #2 when it comes out. Thanks for the rec :)

MountainKat | 31598 comments Hi Dee, I finished my first pick Laid Bare. Overall I gave it 4 Stars, although a few parts of it dragged a little. Thanks for the push to finally read it!

Dee and Sassafrass, did you want to do a buddy read of Gone Country? When did you want to start? I think I want to try to join the BR of Seduction and Snacks on the 15th, so I could probably go before or after that without any problems. Let me know!

Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (jim_formerly_photojim) | 5294 comments Gea, I finished my first pick Taking Shots. Unfortunately I just couldn't appreciate it as much as most of the others did. I just really hated the heroine. It earned the second star for actually getting the hockey talk right. I'll see if there is more time left in the month to do another. But thanks again for the pick.

I finished a second pick that you recommended to me- The Winter Courtship Rituals of Fur-Bearing Critters (Knitting, # 1) by Amy Lane . This has been on my tbr for a long time, thanks for the push to read it. It was sweet and I also learned a lot about knitting, lol.

Oh man! I missed Rebecca's comments. Well, if anyone talks to her or keeps in touch with her please tell her that I'm thrilled she loved Club Shadowlands. And, sorry she's not on RRRC anymore.

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments She is here gigi - she had to change her user name - but she is around

message 447: by Gigi (new)

Gigi | 1149 comments Glad to hear that, sounds kind of James Bond-ish!!! I go to AC, come back and all kinds of things happen. LOL

Good, as long as she's still on RRRC and continues with PIFM.

SandyC (sandyc88) | 1287 comments I finished one of my picks, Notorious Nineteen (Stephanie Plum, #19) by Janet Evanovich .
It was a light, funny read. Pretty much what I expect from a Stephanie Plum book. Thanks to Lexa for the nudge to read it hot off the press.

I know what you mean, Penney. This kind of writing and storylines have kind of exploded lately and I don't think comparing a book to FSoG is necessarily a good thing. I don't think FSoG was well written book.
Sry to hear the book was sort of disappointment for you.
