message 1: by Dawn, Desperately seeking new worlds (new)

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments I like her Charles Davidson series quite a bit. But here is the thing the fourth book just came out and it is priced at 11.99.

I thought the first two books were really great but the last one while good it was not as good as the first two. With the price increase I am thinking I will have to wait for mass paperback or something.

Has anyone read the new one? Thoughts?

Missyb | 52 comments Jones is on my TBR list. I hate when I get hooked on a series and then the price jumps. Usually it's because the first few I got as paperback and then the next is hardcover. I've started renting the new release (hardcover) from the library and then when I find it for cheap I buy it. It lets me read it when it comes out without paying an arm & leg

Nichole ~Bookaholic~ (nicholebookaholic) | 672 comments This is one of my favorite series....but the price for the e-books is kinda high....but totally worth it IMO....The audio's are fun to listen to, the narrator is very good...

I may have to go the library route which I should have by new year lol

message 5: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)

Sandra | 4734 comments I've preordered the MMP edition. I like the series but I'm not paying $12 for it.

message 6: by Melodie (new)

Melodie (melodieco) I've read the first 2 liked them well enough. Not paying $12.00! Especially for an e-book. My limit for those is $2.99!

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments Went to the library today and surprise Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet was sitting right there on the shelf and look it is before the new year :-)

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments Thank you Sandra. I did finish the book and I liked it a lot more than the last one.

Sandra | 4734 comments My library doesn't carry a lot of pnr/uf books so I've got to wait for MMP.

Nikki Nik (nikkinik) | 1 comments Sandra, does your library allow you to get books online? The databases are shared among libraries, so, you will get a huge selection there.

You can read them on a computer, tablet, or e-reader. I do it a lot.

Mine is the same way and I hate that. Normally I have to use the inter-library loan system anyway I say all that to say this is why it was such a score because it was sitting on the shelf in my library. It felt a little like Christmas :-)

Nikki, thanks for the thought, but I'm in Australia and they are only just getting into the digital library stage. So not a lot of pnr/uf books there either.

I know exactly Dawn, I'm always so thrilled when I unexpectedly find a book I really want there. I recently came across Christine Feehans' Leopard series and I thought "YES!! I don't have to buy that one."
