Does Any one get annoyed by way Piper thinks about Percy and whines a lot in her mind

i just finished reading the book and i do feel that she whines to much about jason and i really dislike that she compares Percy with jason no one can compare to Percy :)

OMG. it's like you read my mind! i mean seriously?!?!?! i hate Jason and Piper, and no one is better than percy! He's Percy! and she is so useless! it's infuriating.....
I think that yes, she has a tendency to complain, but who wouldn't in that situation? Piper is worried that Jason might not be interested, she must save the world, AND there's a deadline and lives at stake. I think that it adds imperfection too, because nobody's perfect and I dislike perfect book characters, because the perfection makes them BORING!!! I found her character to be a good one.

Prcy's the hero of the book and i think that RR wasnt bieng biased... its just the plain truth... how many times has Jason defeated the Titan Lord, he had difficulty just destroying the throne... Percy led an entire army....and yeah i think you people should stop criticizing Piper,, you are sounding even worse than before. i criticized her a lot as well but now i think its too much..

she's a normal girl, sticks up for the other kids in aphrodite cabin, tries not to flaunt her advantages, realized how bad charm speaking civilians was...
she's obbsessive, worries about stupid stuff, kinda useless in a fight where the opponent can deflect charmspeak...
all people are full of good and bad; we won't get along with some people even if we understand their only human (or half human)
i would not get along with piper in the real world but try to stay neutral (not really working)

Of course she is unimpressed by Percy, Jason is her freaking boyfriend- she has to be supportive of him. If Annabeth did the same thing we all would be like "Yeah!Percy is stronger!" but since it's Piper she gets hate? That doesn't make much sense to me
When I was reading The Mark of Athena, I noticed Piper doing that a little bit, but it didn't bother me at all. I don't know why you guys think it's so annoying. It's not at all.Well, at least that's my opinion.

Jason is one type.Percy is another.
Comparing them is like comparing water and lightning. Most people are REALLY biased in favor of Percy. I see the other side, as I read The Lost Hero without knowing who Percy Jackson was, then went back and read Percy Jackson and the Olympians. I like Jason, because I can't imagine having to keep Percy in line constantly. Some people think Jason has no personality. To each their own. But Piper comparing them in slight favor of her boyfriend shouldn't merit your criticism.
Piper complains too much that her dad dosen't notice her. In real life some parents don't have time for their children but they don't complain. Her life is much better than Hazel, who died and got ressurected, Nico who saw everyone he loved die, not to mention thatthey were also pulled out of time.Leo was an orphan, Frank watched his mom die in war, Jason and Annabeth were abandoned, and Percy life just consisted of quests, expulsions and abusive step fathers.
She even said Percy didn't live up to her expectations in looks. Compared to Jason like come on who would do that. Percy is just fab. Ok. He could kick your ass any day
Piper disses everyone who isn't Jason.

Shes OK i don't consider her amazing compared to others. I mean seriously all she has is Katoptris and a pretty voice for charmspeak purpose!

However, by saying that disliking a fictional character is wrong, you're kind of being a little hypocritcal. So you've never hated/disliked a fictional character before? You are not the judge of what is morally wrong or right. I'm not saying I am either. However, people are allowed to have their own opinions. Everyone has the right to like something and not like something. You do not need to pounce on everybody who is agreeing that Piper is annoying. You're not going to change peoples minds. I myself like Piper (although I was kind of upset that she called Percy unimpressive since he's kind of like my favorite character however I do understand that Jason IS Piper's boyfriend even though however I see no point in comparing the appearance of the two. Percy probably thinks Piper looks unimpressive compared to Annabeth, he just hasn't cared to ever say it or mention it in his POV.) There are actually reasons for disliking things/people. And it's their opinion. You have your opinion and that is fantastic but you're not going to change somebody else's opinion. I personally love Hazel and Annabeth way more than Piper(even though I like Piper too) but anyways. I'm just trying to say that in the future people have their opinions.

I agree that it might get annoying sometimes, but I think that is part of her "Aphrodite side". That part of her mother (and father) that cares about appearances and analyzes relationships. So I don't think she can ever escape that - it's her personality.
I can´t stand Piper, i didn´t like her at all when I read the books!

I also don't like how Piper stereotypes people. She thinks all pretty girls are mean. She thinks that having choppy hair will make her look ugly, which means she thinks people with choppy hair are ugly. Plus she is a hypocrite. But she at least has flaws which make her look human, unlike Jason who is perfect, which creeps me out.
Piper doesn't stereotype people. She thinks the mean girls in her school look like makeup owls- not pretty. Which means she can't connect pretty with mean. She cuts her hair like that to distance herself from them, not because she thinks it's ugly. And Jason isn't perfect, either!
Piper's not really annoying and whinny (to me, at least. Its cool if you guys think differently.) , she just seems insecure. I think she compares Percy and Jason because she wants Jason to be sweet to her like Percy is sweet to Annabeth( like when they fell asleep together on the ship). And the way she worries about her relationship with Jason at the stupidest times is on and off with me. i think its adorable she worries about Jason, but at times its all she thinks about. She does have her moments though, like when she was worried about Hazel, Leo, and Frank when the fish/ponies/human dudes ( in the Mark of Athena) captured them. And lastly, do you guys think that maybe Piper thinks about Jason and romance so much is because she's a daughter of Aphrodite? Just a thought :)

I was also so annoyed with Piper when she was comparing Percy to Jason. Percy is NOT unimpressive next to Jason. Percy saved Olympus,saved Camp half blood with the golden fleece, held the weight of the sky,retrieved the lightning bolt and cleared his fathers name, and found Daedalus's workshop in the labyrinth. what has Jason achieved? Hmmm........ Percy thinks quicker on his feet than Jason, he is resourceful, and half the time Jason doesn't do anything. I liked Piper in "The Mark of Athena" but her POV chapter's were sometimes boring, amd unimportant MOST of the time.

I was saying she is annoying because of how whiny she is when she complains on how Jason is becoming distant. I can see Piper is sometimes insecure, all girls are like that sometimes, but Jason and the rest of the 5 are all going through a lot.And I don't think people are annoying just because they have their own opinion, I never said that so I don't know where you got that idea
I guess I WAS saying I was annoyed with Piper when she was comparing Percy to Jason, but that's a minor part in why I think she is annoying. And like I said before on why I think she is annoying or whiny, she is insecure in time where you should be focused on the task ahead.
