Samhy | 49 comments Hi everyone,

I am currently reading the Project Gutenberg's "The Awakening and Selected Short Stories" by Kate Chopin.
I tried to compare it with all the previous entries, but it seems that the short stories are always different.

It would seem better to me to add a new book, to reflect the stories I've been reading and to show other readers that this very specific choice of short stories bundled together exists.
On the other hand, there are already so many entries, I don't know if it's worth it.

So, does it need to be added or not?

Here's the link to the Project Gutenberg's page http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/160 (no ISBN whatsoever).

I'm looking forward to your input.

Banjomike | 5166 comments I would bet serious money that the Gutenberg edition is already on Goodreads. There are 119 editions of "The Awakening and Selected Short Stories" on GR and I would expect that a fair proportion of those published in the last few years are based on, or direct copies of, Gutenberg.

Samhy | 49 comments I'm glad I've asked because I didn't realize there was that much editions!
I'vd found a lot of editions of "The Awakening" (around 118) but just about a half dozen of "The Awakening and Selected Short Stories". Gutenberg provides also "The Awakening" by itself.
Honestly, I'm not acquainted enough with the US culture regarding the "short stories" part. There seems to be heaps of combinaison and which ones are included is not always clear :(

I'll go dig in those 119 and try to find what I was looking for. Thank you very much Banjomike!

Samhy | 49 comments Thanks again Banjomike.
Actually, I've found one with the same short stories and which is also an ebook edition, under the title "The Awakening". So I guess I'll go with that one.

Edit: thank you for the link. Actually, some of those books linked there are a match too. Now I remember I've seen them yesterday, but somehow the connection wasn't made in my mind. I'm sorry that my not-quite-working-mind gave you more work to do. I hope I'll soon be able to advice someone the way you did with me. Take care!
