John Lewis | 5 comments My book "Birchous", has a legally contest cover and should be deprecated from its limited online release with that cover to the new cover. Less than a dozen of this cover were released to the public.

Below is the uncontested cover and the only one legally allowed to be visible.

Please change the cover art as soon as possible.

Thanks you,
John Kipling Lewis

Andrea (andrea_b) | 571 comments I think that contacting customer service is the way to go in case of legal issues. We shouldn't be the ones removing covers even on these cases.

Correct. I'm sorry, but for various reasons any cover change due to a cease and desist must go through our Customer Care. Please contact them at support@goodreads.com, and include a copy of the cease-and-desist notice.

John Lewis | 5 comments So if there was no cease and disist order, you're saying this process would be easier?

If so, then please ignore that I ever mentioned it.

No. If there was no order, then we wouldn't remove the cover at all.

No. If there were no cease-and-desist, we would not change the cover at all. The old cover would stay, and a new edition with the new cover would be added.

John Lewis | 5 comments Ok, sending.

Banjomike | 5166 comments I think the cover has been changed again. The person making the change doesn't show as a librarian or employee so I'm not sure if this a 'proper' change.

They are neither. They are the user who created the book record.

Reverted.
