I appear to have had 19 free downloads on KDP - but Amazon.com still seems to be listed as for sale at 99c, although it is listed as being no 7 in a free chart? Has anyone else had this? As I am in the UK maybe it just does not show up when I visit amazon.com. I would be really grateful if any one who reads this from the USA could check my link and confirm if it shows as free please?

Hi. I think I know what's going on, but I could be wrong! I'm from the uk, but when my book went free on .com it still showed up as having a price for a while. Weirdly it didn't come up as 0.00 as the actual price on .com until it also went free in the uk, which I reported separately - but has now worked!I have another book I'm trying to make free now - so please help me! It's the first in my vamp series, here are the links:

Sometimes, Amazon is weird. I've had incidents where I will have a book posted free, and then it goes back to $0.99 for a short while, before returning to free. I've also had it listed as free, and then Amazon has charged customers the previous price, before taking it off halfway through the month. Like every system, they have glitches, I guess, especially with so many books listed. It can be frustrating, though! But you're not the only one.

Sometimes when a price changes it takes a while for the change to propagate among servers.

I've reported yours too :-) but I've heard that amazon don't often pricematch smashwords, so you might need to put up links again once it's free on other platforms too.

It doesn't take too long (the review process) and it appears on sony ebooks and kobo pretty quickly, but you need to wait longer for the others :-(

I don't think amazon with price match to smashwords. Is the book in the premium catalogue yet? They will price match to barnes and nobles.

Is that B&N?"Smashwords has what they call their premium catalogue in which books that make it in, are distributed to barnes and nobles, Itunes, Sony, Kobo, Diesel and other book distribution sites. You can choose which ones your book is distributed through. Many of these sites you can list your book for free.

Yes, just be sure folks are using the B&N link for you to list on amazon. Amazon doesn't really pay attention to smashwords links.

I originally uploaded it on smashwords, but then it turns out amazon won't pricematch smashwords and I had to wait until it was up on KOBO and now it is :) So now I can ask people to pricematch ^^
