Abigail -- two things to help more people read your request:
1) Put some key words into the title of your post. Since all of us are interested in finding the name of "our" book, this title needs to capture people's interest. So something like, "futuristic novel about a boy who can't "probe"."

2) Move this post to the "Unsolved" folder. It is where most of us go first to see what book requests are there.

Good luck on your search!

Abigail I moved it down for you.

Also, how long ago did you read this? And was it old or new then? Distopian, utopian or just sci-fi? YA or adult?

And do you remember what "probe" is? It certainly sounds intreguing.

Abigail Bradley | 5 comments It was sort of utopian and I read it about 6 years ago. It was about a boy that didn't really fit in. In the beginning of the book he lived in kind of a dump. His little sister was taken from his family very young so he set out to find the "gated community" type place that she lived in. He met friends along the way but he had enemies that were trying to get him

Abigail Bradley | 5 comments The "probing" was the newest way to experience things. It was like tv in their heads. He couldn't do it though because if I remember right it gave him seizures.
