Lucy Hazel is the strongest, along with Jason and Reyna. Change my mind.

Rihanna I think Percy is the strongest I feel as though their no thought about that the rest of the seven are powerful but not as powerful as Percy
Nico himself said "Percy is the most powerful demigod I met"

message 454: by Addie (new) - rated it 5 stars

Addie Donnell Definitely Percy, although I may be a tad bit biased. We're talking about my junior high crush here, people.

message 455: by Lucy (new) - rated it 4 stars

Lucy Percy is powerful, but I don't think he's the most powerful.
Hazel can summon gems and control weapons, and has trained for a year, and is shown to be skilled in fighting.
Jason has been training since he was two, and is the son of one of the most powerful Olympians.
I may be biased too, since Hazel's my favorite character.

message 456: by Addie (new) - rated it 5 stars

Addie Donnell Idk. I'm not a huge fan of hazel. and Nico literally said Percy was the strongest demigod. and you'd think he'd be biased with hazel being his sister.

message 457: by Lucy (new) - rated it 4 stars

Lucy Can I ask why?
But Nico also had a crush on Percy. Good point, though I still think it's Hazel or Jason or Nico.

message 458: by Addie (new) - rated it 5 stars

Addie Donnell Oh totally. I actually really liked Hazel in the beginning. But her powers started being taken to ridiculous lengths. Like in the beginning of the books, the mist was simply to hide the gods and other unexplainable things from the mortals. And then it developed into some weird magical force that could suddenly make a random tunnel to swallow the witch hazel was supposed to fight?? idk. I js DID NOT like how she developed.

message 459: by Lucy (new) - rated it 4 stars

Lucy Yeah, her character development was more of what she can do, and I understand that. I wish she and Frank got the spotlight more, so we could learn more about them instead of ALWAYS having Jason, Piper's and Leo's pov.

message 460: by Addie (new) - rated it 5 stars

Addie Donnell yeah. I think i would've liked her a LOT more if she got the spotlight more. I think i related to her and Reyna the most.

message 461: by Lucy (new) - rated it 4 stars

Lucy It's honestly a bit irritating to have a powerful, relatable, and interesting character, and having them be traded for characters povs we've already gotten for three books.

message 462: by Addie (new) - rated it 5 stars

Addie Donnell Yeah definitely. To be honest, I also wish Reyna got the spotlight more as well...

message 463: by Lucy (new) - rated it 4 stars

Lucy Definitely. I mean, in the House of Hades she flew all the way to the House of Hades singlehandedly with only Scorpio the pegasus. It would have been way more interesting then most of the povs we got in the book.

message 464: by Addie (new) - rated it 5 stars

Addie Donnell yeah. i loved her.

message 465: by Lucy (new) - rated it 4 stars

Lucy I loved Reyna too. I wish she didn't join the Hunters of Artemis honestly, it seems to go against her character arc and a unsatisfying end to her arc.

message 466: by Chloe (new) - rated it 4 stars

Chloe Chen I think it depends on your definition of "strongest". The one who is the best at fighting or killing is Percy since he can control all liquids, he is very good at sword fighting, he can talk to many different animals, etc. On survival, one must admit that without Annabeth, many of them would have died. Also, different powers would be useful in different situations, so different people will be more powerful. In the middle of a desert, Percy wouldn't be as powerful. Nico would need shadows around him, and Hazel would need to be somewhere where there are gems. I think the characters whose powers are the most stable are Annabeth, Frank, Piper, and maybe Jason? But overall, in a fight, Percy would probably win.

message 467: by Lucy (new) - rated it 4 stars

Lucy Percy, realistically though, wouldn't be able to control all liquids. Poseidon is the god of the sea, not water and all liquids, so Percy would really only be able to control seawater. But you are right, it really does depend on the envioment and the definition of strongest.

whoa whoa whoa! WHEN DID SHE JOIN THE HUNTERS???????

Not all liquids but definitely a fair amount since most liquids have some trace of water in them.

It's something that happens in Trials of Apollo....and now I regret spoiling it. Sorry.

Lucy Addie wrote: "Lucy wrote: "Percy, realistically though, wouldn't be able to control all liquids. Poseidon is the god of the sea, not water and all liquids, so Percy would really only be able to control seawater...."

True, but it's seawater, not normal water. If Riordan made Percy be able to control all things with water, even though Poseidon is the god of the sea not all water, that would be overpowered.

message 472: by Addie (new) - rated it 5 stars

Addie Donnell I don't know. Because Poseidon is the god of storms, and storms include rain, which is fresh water. And then when Percy and Annabeth are in Tartarus, Percy controls the poisons there for a second because they have some remnant of water in them. so I don't know.

message 473: by Addie (new) - rated it 5 stars

Addie Donnell And in actual Greek mythology, Poseidon actually had dominion over the sea as well as all bodies of water. basically making him the king of the entire aquatic realm.

I think Tartarus has its own rules, since Annabeth and Percy had to do things like drink fire to survive.

Good point, though Percy isn't as powerful as Poseidon.

That is true. But throughout the books, Percy has continued to grow stronger and his powers have branched out farther. So if his father has dominion over the aquatic realm, what is to say that further down the road as Percy's powers develop he might have the power to control all water?

Yeah that's also a point. But he did show that he had the power to control them.

That is a possibility, since he is already powerful. Although, I hope he doesn't become any more powerful because of this.

i doubt he will the way it was described in the books what your controlling almost affects you. so i dont think he'll use evil substances. at least not on purpose.

yeah, it is. I'm excited to see where it goes. also what other books related to Percy Jackson would you recommend?

message 485: by Lucy (new) - rated it 4 stars

Lucy I would reccomend the Magnus Chase trilogy, which is about Norse Mythology, and the companion books to Percy Jackson, like Camp Half-Blood Confidential, Camp Jupiter Classified: A Probatio's Journal. And Trials of Apollo.

Addie Donnell Thx!

Lucy Their really good books, I hope you like them.

Piper does NOT hide behind Jason( not trying to be rude) Sure in the beginning she's not as powerful or as good as fighting as some of them but remember she got thrown into it so suddenly. Her boyfriend doesn't remember her and her dad sent her away. Then, BAM, she's a demigod and has to save the world.so go easy on her. (Again I'm not trying to offend anyone this is just my opinion)
