Okay, so the book I'm looking for a book it had nitengale somewhere in the title I think, and it was set somewhere in asia. The girls father has died and she and her mother become por, her mother marries a farmer at soem point and then the girl ends up in the court, singing and playing music for the emporer. The emporer is killed and his mother goes to a monestary. The girl evetually marries the farmer.
