thats bull that they are rushing eclipse i mean ok i would still see it no matter what i mean i saw new moon yesterday and i nearly had to beg my friend at first to get me the ticket as i had ran out of money but they are only what 7 months and 10 days apart from each other so cant give enough time to get everything straight i dont beileve they are thinking of the cast that much as it dose put alot of strain on them

Nikki Reed addressed this in an interview on Rachel Ray. They are rushing the filming to curb their aging.

Which is a good thing, because the books don't take place on expansive timelines. Although, I wish they'd had more time to make it shine.

Well I'm not sure how big of a rush it really is. I mean they waited for Twilight to come out before they started New Moon but they already knew they were going to make Eclipse so they just started right away. I think that's why they are coming out so close together.

Anyway, I think David Slade is going to make the film visually stunning, but I'm a little worried of how he will keep to the integrity of the story. Especially since he dislikes Twilight to begin with.
