Gianluca Finocchiaro | 1 comments Hi there,
I am trying to add some books which actually are translation of other books. Usually, I first find the original book/author, look for "other editions" and if I don't find the edition in my language I click on "add a new edition" and compile the relevant information (title in translated language, pages, cover etc, synopsis). Yet, I've done that for a few books, but they aren't automatically listed as "other editions" of the book. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your help!

Paula (paulaan) | 7014 comments Your doing nothing wrong, the editions need to be combined. There is no auto combine

If you post links to the books here someone will combine

Edit: helps if you link to the book to be combined with also

Basically I am asking the same question but I would like to have it confirmed once more.

I have asked yesterday here in the group that three new books are getting added in the GR database. Quite by accident I have discovered today that I can do this myself (adding books manually), even I am not a librarian. At least I *think* I can do this. Didn´t try.

The only thing a librarian actually needs to do then is to combine the different editions. Is this so far correct Paula or do I overlook something?

Paula (paulaan) | 7014 comments Yes that is correct, you can add them but need to be a librarian to combine
