I can't quite decide whether I would continue to watch the show if it got ahead of the books. I sort of feel that I'll probably be spoiled no matter what, because it'll be all over the web, but I really want to discover the conclusion from the books, not the show.

Oh dear... I'm so confused.. I'm re-reading "Dance" and I feel like I have no idea what's going on.
However, Jon : is a whiney kid and I hope someone slaps him out of it. ( preferably the Greyjoy Who should be queen, of the beach... we all know it!)
Arya : is to be the queen supreme... ( oh shit up)
and may Cerci pleereze find a psychotherapist ASAP!

I can't wait to reread this way, because apparently it changes the whole experience, but I also don't want to reread too early, cos I want it to be fresh in my mind.

Also, Cersei seems to have skipped the therapist and instead gone for self-medicating via a wine bottle! Even on the show, she's never without a drinkiepoo.

In that world, its the only option. Go to a therapist and if he/she gets sick of you, they might literally drown you. Or give up your secrets so someone else can do it.

Just been watching #3 Game of Thrones on DVD. *sigh of contentment* (we don't get the TV version)
Hmm I think I would bunk the lessons. Bet the noisy ones don't read/watch it!

I finished Fevre Dream and it was a really good book. It's a vampire story set in the 1860s. I really enjoyed GRRM's writing style.

I started this ages ago, and I liked what I read, but I just wasn't in the mood for it at that particular time and ended up putting it down unfinished. Haven't got round to starting it again. :(

Yeah, I read it. (view spoiler)[I was torn in my feelings towards Arya. On one hand, Raff had it coming, so I was cheering when she killed him. But, on the other, she's becoming so cold and emotionless. She's still little more than a child, but she willingly leads Raff away to 'seduce' him and she talks about the rape in the play like it's nothing. And even when she kills him, she isn't triumphant or vindicated. It feels like just another day at the office (though she needs to change jobs now LOL!) It's sad and a little chilling.

I think all the signs were there that Arya was going to get like this. I love how she's going bad, in contrast to Jaime who's trying to become good. I don't know if Arya will survive the series. If she doesn't find herself again, I don't think she will. Actually, knowing GRRM Arya will suddenly remember how much she loved her family (even Sansa!) and she'll decide to go find them and THAT is when she'll be killed! :)

There was some news just a couple of days ago, about GRRM dropping some hints about Winds of Winter. He gave an interview where he talks about the book and some of what he says could be classed as minor spoilers, so you should probably avoid if you don't want to know anything. Also, only read if you've read ADWD!!
