I'm going to reread the whole series at some point, maybe later this year. I've loaned all my books to someone right now, so it'll probably be a few months before I get them back.

That's so true - I saw the GOTlcalender when I was looking for Christmas presents and couldn't bring myself to buy it because of Joff's January photo!
The child actors in the series are all pretty good!I hate Sansa too!

Anna, LOL, they probably just put Joff as Mr January cos 1) January is always the crappiest month of the year and 2) it gets him out of the way!
I don't actually mind the actress that plays Sansa, but I think I'm influenced by book Sansa. I despised her early on with all her fairy-tale fantasies, but I started to like her a lot more as the series went on. Frankly, I blame her parents for encouraging her in these beliefs and keeping her insulated from the realities of her world!

When I think of Sansa, I compare her to some kids you see whose parents are so over-protective and won't let their kids do anything. Sansa isn't the most assertive or adventurous person (and I'm not judging her for that), but she was content to live in her cosy little bubble. So, when she finally had to face the real world, she was completely unprepared for it and she made some bad decisions early on because she believed that people were basically good and would do the right thing. But, to her credit, she's now accepting how the world really is, and she's learning fast. The thing I like about Sansa is that despite going through hell at the hands of Joff and Cersei, she's never become bitter or lost her humanity. She hangs onto a kind heart, but is far more worldly-wise now. Well, that's my impressions of her anyway. :)
Arya was always a different personality to Sansa and she wanted to get out there and see how the world worked. So, discovering treachery and deceit and that people do bad things wasn't as big a shock to her.
Honestly, of the two of them, Arya is actually the one I worry about more. She becomes colder and more indifferent every day (ADwD spoiler) (view spoiler)

@Ada-Lee I think Sansa was quite delusional in the early books but then she was a teen with a dream! Still she caused Lady's death! I'm curious to know if Littlefinger will cure her of her nativity. I think her aunts behaviour and death might have made quite an impact too.

I forged on....sword and buckler in tow. It was worth it, sort of. I have faith after reading several chapters GRRM has posted here and there.....
All I can say is PUBLISH THE NEXT DAMNED BOOK ALREADY!
There I feel better now....( deep breath...) I'll wait but not patiently.

Ada-Lee, about the end of Dance, I agree that it gives me high hopes for future books. I think GRRM lost control of the story a little in Feast and it took most of Dance to get it back on track again. The books finishes on a major high and I cannot wait to find out what happens next (view spoiler)

I agree!

Damn this blasted thing.

My biggest bitch about touchscreens is when I accidentally click on an ad instead of on a link near it. It's so annoying!

On my To Do List, I promise. The damned list is just too long though!!!

Probably. I won't argue with you on that one.... but its so hard to start Dance again. Maybe once after I finish Red Seas Under Red Skies but no promises. I have started watching TV shows again and Spartacus is damned addictive...

What the hell's wrong with you? It has lots of good-looking naked men! but that is hardly the point...
It has a really good story, and its just so damned well done. Lannie!!! You have to see!!!
Have you seen ROME? Its like a modern version of that, with lots more blood, gore and nakedness involved. And less temples. Gotta respect more swearing and less offering to the Gods at every step.

Hummm.. fair enough. but... maybe see the plot summary (for a season or an episode) to see if you would really like it? Still if you cannot watch TV it is a lost cause I guess.

I was really glad when Theon died. That boy was an idiot. Stupid idiot.
I kinda wish I knew what was going on with Robb. Was he going to make a deal?
I do kinda feel for Sansa now--and her speech to the people was pretty good. She would make a great queen.
I was glad Bran and Rickon didn't die. When I first read it, I thought it was kind of senseless. I was like "well how does that advance the story?" but then it made sense.
I totally see more and more of Lannister's obsession with Jamie. He's a douche. But there is something honorable about his douchiness. I do think he was cold to Catelyn, but that's how he is. I really liked the line "It’s too much. No matter what you do, you’re forsaking one vow or the other.”
Now that Jon is hanging out with the wildlings, is he gonna have sex? LOL don't answer that it's rhetorical.
I'll have more thoughts later :)

I can't make any comments about some of the other things you've said ... you need to keep reading!!

http://asoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/...

The story the wildling told Jon--what was the point of it? Is it something we'll find out later or something I missed?
The dream Bran had... about the horse eating his brother... I didn't get that one either.

The horse eating another horse... This happened while Bran and crew were still in the tombs.

Give me page#'s and I'll go back and read parts and pieces....

The horse eating another horse... This happened whil..."
I remember the first part. I think the point of it is to show that the Wildings are not as different as they are made out to be. It is also to show that the Wall is not to keep them out - but that is just an added side-effect. Nothing less, nothing more.
The dream - I can't remember it either. Jesus.. You have to tell the page number and chapter Zeenat. Now I also need to read that part.. and I cannot read the book again.

hummm in that case maybe it was just Summer doing actual eating and Bran seeing through his eyes?

Ah. That would make sense.

I can't wait!!
(And Jaime still has his beard. Cos that's the most important thing, right?!)

Although, I also started watching season 2, and I was surprised by how attractive Jaqen H'ghar was LOL. I'm sad he's only a one season character!

Although, I also started watching season 2, and I..."
We're totally on the same page here, Zeenat! Jaime gets better and better. In fact, his chapters were about the best parts of Feast for Crows. And Jaqen ... hmmmm! Mello will be along in a minute too, I'm sure! :D
I don't think we've seen the last of Jaqen either. Saying no more.

And oooh I do not trust Shae. This chapter I just read, made it even more obvious she's just using tyrion for his status/power. She's gonna rat out tyrion isn't she? I bet she is. Hopefully Lord Tywin kills her. lol

Just keep on reading.....and hang into your Meisters chain for dear life!

Zeenat, I really want to talk about this stuff with you, but I'm terrified of giving anything away accidentally. Come back when you've finished Storm, cos I cannot wait to discuss!

I have a feeling I know who's going to die in this book...
