56) I don't know about anyone else, but I wish we could hear and see Kvothe play. What dumb luck to play the same instrument as Ambrose. Just another pointy spike between them. Ambrose must be jealous of Kvothe.
Definitely he is jealous of his playing. And a lot more, me thinks!
57) Well, now we know who 'The woman' is that Kvothe mentioned and Lisa Kay was right, she's back. That is the lovely Denna is back. So it sounds like she might be his downfall. Will Ambrose do something to her? I shudder at the thought. Could she betray him?
Oh! I hadn’t thought of either of those last two. Eep! I hope no to both.
58) Could Auri be the female student that disappeared that had some link to Ambrose?

Yes, but I figured he’d be able to…give how he did something similar as his strings broke one by one before.
61) What do you think of the way Kvothe is with Denna and what about Denna? It almost seems like she lived a similar lifestyle to Kvothe.
Yes, they seem a good match.
62) What do you think of Devi? Do you predict she'll sell Kvothe's blood? Did he do something that will later be proven to be a big mistake?
I’ve been worried about this since he gave her his blood. Eep! I think it was a terrible idea and will lead to his downfall. Someone is sure to get a hold of it, even if she doesn’t give it up willingly.

63. What did you think of Kvothe's song “Jackass, Jackass”? I'm beginning to think that Kvothe is also to blame for the escalating conflict. Were you surprised that the masters didn't punish Kvothe for the song?
I thought it was funny, but he really is just begging for more trouble from Ambrose. Yes, he should stand up for himself and not let him walk all over him, but why poke a tiger in its eye? Then he becomes part of the problem.
64. Book quote: "Demonstrate the patience and prudence which you have heretofore been lacking”. Do you think Kvothe will ever be let into the archives?
I think he should listen more to Master Lorren’s advice. I don’t know why I want this master to think better of him. Maybe because master Lorren is in charge of the books? LOL! I hope he is allowed in.
65. Denna keeps disappearing and reappearing. What is she doing? Do you think she has feelings for Kvothe?
Yes, that raises my suspicions. I was reading Laura’s answer…and I didn’t even think of her being involved in something illegal!
66. I was not surprised that Kvothe wanted to do his own lamp. Of course he made a thieves' lamp. Do you think he will use it to sneak into the archives?

67. Finally we got to see a little of the hero Kvothe. Book quote: "It was my first taste of being a hero. I found it quite to my liking." It makes me optimistic that he will turn out to be good in the end. What did you think of his rescue? Were you surprised he risked his life to save Fela?
Yes, I think this is a good omen. However, like Laura, I’m getting a little tired of his arrogance. I have to keep remembering how teenagers are. **sigh**
I'm getting there...maybe I'll catch up! Well...too late for that; however, maybe I'll finish. ☺
I am way behind on this one too. Christmas has kept me busy and we didn't get out of school until Friday. I have had almost no time to read. :(

Questions for Chapter 68-7168. Do you think Fela has feelings for Kvothe? Or is it just gratitude and nothing more?
I think she might have some feelings, but I don't think that they are strong feelings. I am sure nothing is going to happen between them regardless.
69. Would you rather see Kvothe with Denna or Fela given the choice?
I think he would have been better off with Fela, but I alas, he will never settle and I know that a relationship there is not going to happen.
70. Ambrose finally went for revenge! Did you expect him to do something so extreme? What did you think of how Kvothe handled the situation?
I didn't expect him to try to kill Kvothe, but I did think that whatever he did, it would be terrible. I think Kvothe did well handling the situation as it were. I am not sure that I would have been able to have such a clear head.
71. Elodin makes another strange appearance. Do you think he was hinting at the name of the wind with the description of the courtyard?
I thought so, but then nothing happened with it. I absolutely loved the idea of the wind in the courtyard and it painted a very lovely picture.
72. Do you think Kvothe messed up with Denna for good? Or is this just another set back in their relationship?
I am sure she will be back, I don't think that they are willing to let each other go. I think that Denna cares for Kvothe as much as he cares for her. I just think neither one of them is willing to admit it to the other.
73. Another Chandrian visit! Were you surprised that Kvothe went into debt in order to go check out the wedding aftermath? Do you think he'll find anything?
I wasn't surprised. He will stop at nothing to find out information about the Chandrian. I think that what he did was a bit foolish, but understandable. I doubt he will find much and I worry that he might get into trouble he can't get out of.
74. Are you surprised that Kvothe would offer archive access to Devi if he were to find it? Do you think he trusts her to use it wisely, or was he just that desperate?
I think he trusts her, but I also think he was desperate. I think Devi is a good person and won't abuse it.
75. Was Denna a survivor of the Chandrian? Or was she in some other kind of trouble and Kvothe just happened to show up? (Must go read now...bye)
I think that Denna is a survivor, but I think there is more to the story than what we have been told so far.
Questions for Chapter 72-7776. Do you think that Kvothe should have told Denna the truth about why he was there from the start? Should he have shared the story about his family?

82. A broken cabin, a dead man, and a crossbow...sounds like the beginning of a horror movie gone wrong. Do you get the feeling there are more questions coming up then answers yet the end of the book is getting awfully close?
83. Why would Denna put the resin in her mouth! Even if she thought it was syrup or whatever, it obviously looked burnt and gross! Seems incredibly stupid to me.

I can understand his reluctance to tell anyone. I mean he has no idea what she will do with it. She isn't exactly the most trustworthy person.
77. What do you make of this mysterious Master Ash?
I think he is a chandrian that is using her. I think they know she has close contact with Kvothe and is a drifter. They can use her for all kinds of things.
78. What do you think was found in the stone room that the Mauthers kept secret?
I think it must have been a place for rituals. I have no other ideas.

I am apparently going to have to reread. I remember a story but I don't remember what it was about!

I think it is different and I like it. I think it leads more believability to his story.

I keep thinking, when are we going to find out more about the Chandrian. When are we going to find out more about his school. I am so confused right now. I think the Chandrian killed the man with the crossbow for seeing too much of something, but I am not sure. I guess it could have been the Draccus.

Denna is becoming more and more annoying to me for some reason. It does seem like a very stupid thing to do. I don't know why she would put something in her mouth that she isn't entirely sure what it is.
Laura's Questions Chapters 78-8584. Where you surprised when the idea to poison the Draccus didn't work? What did you think of their calculations?

84. Where you surprised when the idea to poison the Draccus didn't work? What did you think of their calculations?
I figured it would have some complications. Seemed a bit easy.

She's complicated just as Kvothe is complicated. Maybe someday they'll find time for each other. Maybe not.

All stories are small things blown out of proportion. It's interesting to see how far the stories have traveled.

I don't remember if it was in this section or not but seems like it was out of pure hatred and emotion.
88. His expulsion sure was anti-climatic. I thought it was going to be for something a bit bigger than that. What did you make of this scene and Ambrose?
Well he wasn't actually expelled, which is good. Although that might have come late. I don't remember if it happened in this section or the next. Ambrose is a twit though.
I am new to this group but I just finished this book Name of the Wind and it is now one of my all time favorites. I have already started the 2nd book and Highly recommend it, I can't put it down.
Oh, I hope someone would come discuss this with me.
