It's hard for me to recommend books because everyone's taste varies. I could be reading a super sappy love story, or a "sexy novella", and next be reading a horror or crazy bizzare story. It all depends, and for me, reading is a pleasure. I have been recommended some books by people that they thought were all the rage and was not impressed, at all. But loved books others didnt. That being said..... I'd say read Wicked, Cold Mountain, War of the Worlds, and My Sweet Audrina, lol. Books I've loved from my childhood, and adulthood.

i read cold mountain, if i wasn't part of the inman line and knew the real story i would have enjoyed it unfortunately i went thru saying "nope, nope, yep, nope".

i absolutely adore dantes divine comedy and believe everyone should have to read it.

Susan (superbookfreak) Christine Feehan is one of my most favorite with the Dark series, Tamar Myers with the Pennsylvania Dutch mysteries, now the books by Charlaine Harris.

Todd (tekeller) I would suggest most of Verne's novels, just because i grew up with them, and they are high adventure, with a lot of science mixed in.

For series you could go with standards like Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Hercule Poirot, Sherlock Holmes.

The Dark Jewels Trilogy by Anne Bishop

These are intense, fast reads, I'd suggest getting the omnibus (all three main books)

Susan (superbookfreak) I would have to recommend The 7th Victim and Crushby: Alan Jacobson. These are the beginning of a series. I would also recommend Nicholas (The Lords of Satyr, #1) by Elizabeth Amber Raine (The Lords of Satyr, #2) by Elizabeth Amber Lyon (The Lords Of Satyr, #3) by Elizabeth Amber Dominic (The Lords of Satyr, #4) by Elizabeth Amber & [image error] by: Elizabeth Amber. These are hot and steamy books and they have mystery in them.
