Just saying hello to fellow crime lovers. Favourite authors of mine would be Kate Atkinson, Thomas Harris, Val McDermid, Alexander McCall Smith, Sarah Waters, Donna Tartt and Henning Mankell. Prefer brains and ambience to blood and guts, and also keen to explore more European crime fiction.

Welcome, J.J. I like many of the authors you've listed and just about to be introduced to Kate Atkinson and Henning Mankell. I've enjoyed both of the TV mins-series based on the books, just have to read the books on my shelves now.. Hope you enjoy yourself here.
