Christina Mustafa | 8 comments Has anyone read the book immortal by Gillian shields? There are mixed reviews about it and was wondering what your opinions are on it.

message 54: by Kathy (new)

Kathy | 7669 comments I did and I liked them, the first one Immortal (Immortal, #1) by Gillian Shields is the best one of all of them.

message 55: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments I am not sure if I should start Dead until Dark (Sookie Stackhouse, #1) by Charlaine Harris . I mean, it is a pretty long series, so I'd like to make sure it doesn't suck before I start.

message 56: by Trisha, lives on coffee (new)

Trisha | 30284 comments lol I know many people who loved it - seriously, have read the whole series and can't wait for the next book...

for whatever reason, I just did not like the first book...I found Sookie incredibly annoying...

message 57: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments Oh I see. I might need more time to consider the series over then. Thanks Trisha

message 58: by Gino (new)

Gino Alfonso | 186 comments I like the True Blood adaptation better than the books, I've read the first four and so far, the show is far superior...

Under the Never Sky (Under the Never Sky, #1) by Veronica Rossi or Everneath (Everneath, #1) by Brodi Ashton

I haven't read Everneath (Everneath, #1) by Brodi Ashton but I heard it was good.

But I loved Under the Never Sky (Under the Never Sky, #1) by Veronica Rossi and the 2nd book is really good too!! I love the characters. Roar and Liv, Aria and Perry they're so awesome!! :)

I really like this series until the last few books. They became predictable and somewhat boring.

Under the never sky was very good, a little confusing with the world at first but you get into it fast.
The other book I've never read

THX!

I really liked it. It's really sad though, and I'm not sure if you're okay with that topic. Some aren't and hated it.

The topic does REALLY interest me, it seems so "forbidden" (please excuse the obvious yet unintended pun), so that part would be fine. I just wanted to know if it was worth my time... Plus I'll need to wait for a time I'm ok with being sad, lol. Thx Angela!

It is such a great book. The topic is tough and I had to skim through some scenes. It broke my heart.

about halfway through is when it gets tricky. It gets really boring and you feel like you want to stop but if you pull through it is amazing

The topic was a bit sensitive. I find it awkward to read first because it's my first time to read such theme. I didn't cry, but it broke my heart literally.

I really liked this book. I don't like sci-fi but this one I liked. If you read it as any book you'll like it just don't expect the classic Twilight Saga like some readers did.

Enjoy. :)

message 79: by Ravin (new)

Ravin | 45 comments The Adoration of Jenna Fox (Jenna Fox Chronicles, #1) by Mary E. Pearson I just started this, I think its going to be really good, I hope it gets more exciting though.

message 80: by Emily (new)

Emily (bookwallflowers) Should I read this book Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell ????

I've heard both good and bad things about it and I dont know if I should pick it up.

message 81: by Angela (new)

Angela | 17461 comments I thought it was cute, but it's not as good as I hoped. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

If you liked her previous books, you'd probably like this one too.

message 82: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments I'm with Angela on this one. It was cute and so MANY people loved it. But not me. I hated that one. I liked Eleanor & park, though.

message 83: by Angela (new)

Angela | 17461 comments Right?! I was expecting a lot more from what everyone else was saying. I'm not sure about her upcoming books now. :/

message 84: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments yeah, really disappointed. It was like I was reading a different book from everyone else. I don't think I'll read anymore of her books.

message 85: by Emily (new)

Emily (bookwallflowers) Thanks, my friend is reading it right now and she said she's really enjoying it but I've also heard from others that it wasn't the best. If I ever get around to getting it, it probably won't be in the near future.

message 86: by [deleted user] (new)

I like her books! I think I have read 5 or 6 of them and my favorite was Burned (Burned, #1) by Ellen Hopkins

message 94: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (to-whatever-end) Should I read... Infinity (Chronicles of Nick, #1) by Sherrilyn Kenyon ? I've heard mixed reviews from friends on Goodreads. A lot of them seem to really like it at first but then they are hating it by the end. Once I read one book in a series I usually have to read the rest, whether I like them or not. Is it worth getting invested in this series?

I am reading Divergent right now. I don't know if it is similar to the hunger games because I have never read that series, but I would definitely read Divergent by Veronica Roth. It is way better then I thought it was going to be. I hope this helps you.

I would read Ellen Hopkins books too. I have read all of her books and all of them are really good. I don't really have a favorite of her books because I liked them all equally as much.

Isabelle Ley | 605 comments Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles, #1) by Marissa Meyer ? I didn't ever really want to read this book, it sounds weird, but I usually like science fiction. It seems like a lot of people have read it, and I have wondered if I should read it, even though the synopsis does not really make me want to read it.
