About 2 years ago I bought a book from the home section of Anthropologie. It's a square-ish white book, and I believe it has red writing on the cover. I'm 90% sure it's written by a male. Anyway, each "chapter" is a letter of the alphabet, and there is a word for every letter. For each word, there is a couple paragraphs/anecdote about a situation in his relationship that has to do with the word. The chapter situations aren't in chronological order, either. Just alphabetical order according to the word.

So, I am wondering about where to shelve this book. Loosely, it could go into the Other Solved folder, since it is not a usual book. On the other hand, it is a book that has been solved, and would want to put it into the folder to which it belongs. Which brings me to the question of folders:
Young Adult: or are the themes more mature?
Adult fiction: the art of story is used to develop the content for the dictionary.
Adult Nonfiction: It is a dictionary, which goes in the reference section.
Where oh where shall this worthy book go?

For what it's worth, at our public library, we have this shelved with adult fiction. Even though David usually writes YA, the themes here a bit more adult. It's definitely a narrative of a relationship, but the format is unusual. And even though it's set up like a dictionary, it's not intended to be used as one.
It's a really neat book and I highly recommend it!
