Anita (anitangaire) | 46 comments I have the kindle edition of this book, when I looked for the kindle edition here I got this: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/11...

Most of the details are missing, the description is in Dutch which makes no sense as the book is in English :( It has the same ASIN as the edition I have.

The edition I have contains an Epub ISBN (9781407019635) which is not listed in goodreads anywhere.

Should I:

a) post all the details that my kindle edition has and someone can update the kindle edition?
or
b) create a new record off the ISBN contained within the kindle edition?

Thanks, I'm sure there is a right way to handle this, I'm just not sure what it is :)

Renske | 12231 comments Kindle editions are always listed with the ASIN. If you provide the details, someone can update the book. A new edition can be created for the ISBN, because that is most likely the general ebook edition.

Publisher: Vintage
Publication date: 2002 (first published 2001)
Language: English
Cover art: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ZHbYZRGx68I...

The publication date confuses me a little - inside the kindle book it says "Published by Vintage 2002 ... First published in Great Britain in 2001", the current record in goodreads has a 2006 date and amazon has a 2008 date. I am not sure if it should be the date stated in the book as that can't be the kindle edition date as kindles didn't exist then. If not, I guess the amazon date of 29 Dec 2008 is the right one. (I should note that I only just bought it, so my version is the kindle edition currently for sale, it gives the epub ISBN and says it is version 1.0)

And I guess it would make sense to include the English language description from the main entry: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/48...

We cannot use any data from Amazon or other booksellers.

Everything except the 2008 date is copied from my copy of the book, not Amazon or any other bookseller.

The only reason I included the Amazon date was because the date in the copy of the book predated the kindle, so I though I should add it for clarity.

vicki_girl | 2764 comments I added everything but the Amazon date. I used the 2002 Vintage date for now. I grabbed a description from the publisher website. The one you linked was actually a review, which is against GR policy to use for a description (I have updated the link to the new default English one).

Anita (anitangaire) | 46 comments Awesome, thank heaps!!! :)
