I will add links to helpful shelves soon. I probably won't get to it until tomorrow though. Traveling back home today. Hoping to get my family back to normal after Hurricane Sandy. We are so lucky to be going home to power. So many in my town and surrounding areas still have no power. Hoping all of you are safe and warm!
Ohh, this sounds like fun!
If I'm unsure of how much time I'll have, and settle with only spelling out for example "Europe", can I add another one to spell if I manage to finish early? :)

yep you can Rebecca ;) i'm starting easy with option 2 and doing ASIA but going with the twist to make it related to the continent
Awesome! Ohh, good luck! I don't dare go after that one, sounds tough. ;) Lol

I thought of you and cringed when I heard on the news a couple of days ago that the power crews heading back there from this area were going to be working on Long Island, and expected to be there for a couple of weeks, at least. Living out in the middle of nowhere like I do, we're pretty well set to handle power outages, and even so I can't imagine being out for that long.
I have shelves for Africa, Australia, Antarctica, South America and lots of shelves for other countries and US States as well. Here is the link to my shelves - these shelves start with SET IN. This link will open in a new window.http://www.goodreads.com/review/list/...

Thanks so much for the link, Susanne! That is great!
I am overthinking this...But I will ask anyway, Book's setting in Belize which is technically Central America, can I count it as South America?
Fran wrote: "Hi Hina,Yes, you can use it for South America :)"
Thanks! I hate it when I am so literal, so much overthinking. LOL.

The Continents-
Asia
Africa
North America
South America
Europe
Australia
Antarctica
Books to be read- Could be as little as 4 (A-S-I-A) or many more...
1. Read a book for each continent-
You may use the setting of the book, author's place of birth or current residence, or title of the book to read one book for each continent.
The author was born in the continent or lives there now. The setting of the book is from that continent. The title of the book contains the name of the continent.
And/ Or
2. Spell out a continent (or more than 1)
- any books can be used. As long as the book title or author's first or last name is found in the spelling of the continent, you may use it. The criteria in #1 above does not have to be met.
Bonus-
When spelling out the continent in #2- Use only books related to a continent - author/ setting/title
