That her books have the same plot?
I personally think that yes because even though they all are love stories they have the same plot. For example: parents divorced, organized girls, always in the summer, pretty girls, break ups, end with the same guy they broke up with, and they all have some tragedy.
I am not saying her books are awful. I love her books and the way she writes but maybe there should be a different plot to it.

Yes, you're right, and it's pretty obvious.
A troubled girl meets a slightly less or equally troubled boy and they hit it off. Along the way the broken main character meets and makes great friends, gets along better with her parents and has lots of fun.
Then, suddenly, something happens and the main character fights with the love interest and they don't speak for a few days, which the girl spends being miserale.
Unable to be apart, they make up and live happily ever after.
And I definitely agree; I love her books and especially the characters, but after a while it gets old and it would be nice if Sarah Dessen would try something else instead, something less predictable.

Have you read her book Dreamland? It's a different plot than her others.
