That is one of the things I loved about the series too. People can spark things in us that makes us want to be different. To be better. I love watching this unfold in the story. I also like the playfulness the couple had with each other. It was true love. I'm a sucker for true love. :).

Try reading

I have read bared to you and reflected to you but not the others I will give them a try
Thanks

I read them about 9 times in 2 months - Loved them. It sparked my 100+ book rampage since November into the world of romance. I still pick it up and read it slowly between books now. I could care less if it has grammar issues. I loved the hell out of it.

I have read it 4 times, I loved it each time, cause I found different things each time.. will read over and over. Their love shows truth

I definitely like Christian more, maybe because, I felt like I could relate to him more. Aside from the bondage stuff lol!

The relationship the two of them had was great. Take out every sex of the series, and it would still be a great story. There was so much more to the characters than a "Dom" and "crazy love struck girl". They had real depth. Fantastic series!

EL James created a character that just jumped off the pages. I was at first I was shunning the books - 2 co-workers bought it and loved it and then I decided that I could not have a true opinion until I read it. And boy did I read it! Most of the ones who talk the most about the books being horrible are ones who did not fully read them.
I have no problem with someone not liking it after they read it - but to listen to other reviews or read a few chapters then trash it - is wrong. There is a tumblr site called fiftyshadesofwhy - and although the guy is an ass at times, at least he is reading it.
I could care less about grammar issues, my brain skips over most of them anyways. But the overall story was fantastic. It still remains my favorite book, and since I have finished it I have read over 200 books. It will always be my go to book when I am in between stories.

I used to really use some of Amazon reviews to guide my purchase..but after realizing that the worst reviews always started with:
I never ever do a review, but this was just so bad I couldn't help myself...
Are all mostly people who 1- always review books and 2 - like to complain about grammar and structure to seem smarter than the average bear.
Same to authors who knocked her for the success, most were struggling to get picked up and suddenly were jealous over FSOG's success. There was a huge rant by some author on the huffington post about how much she struggled to become a writer and how unfair it was that EL James had success with a horribly written book. Now I go to goodreads to see if a book is worth reading because most of the negative reviews on amazon are not worth anything constructive.
