Cedric smiles. He felt like he needed Valian, like how drug addicts needed hallucinogens. He realized that all the mindless flirting had been nothing compared to this... nothing at all.

"Valian?", Cedric whispers quietly.
((Who's the teacher?))
((Who's the teacher?))
"You okay?", he asked softly.
((Professor Sinistra. Can you be teacher?))
((Professor Sinistra. Can you be teacher?))
((Thanks))
"You don't sound fine, but okay...", Cedric said, concerned.
((Have to go, sorry))

((Have to go, sorry))
Cedric opened his mouth to protest but shut his mouth almost immediately. He stared silently at Professor Sinistra.
((Is it, really?))
Cedric normally paid attention to Professor Sinistra, but this time, he had his mind elsewhere. On Valian. Had he been right to admit he liked her?

((I doubt it))
"Why not?", Cedric mumbled, keeping his eyes on the professor.
"Why not?", Cedric mumbled, keeping his eyes on the professor.
"I see. How about your OWL?", Cedric asked quietly, not diverting his eyes at all.
"Your OWL. What are you going to do about your Astronomy OWL?", Cedric repeated, risking a glance at her.
"Are you going to flunk it?", he asked, curious.
"I see", was Cedric's short answer.
((Me too. In fact, I should go. I have 4 tests and a project due next week. I'll talk to you later))
((Yay! Finished all the tests... Now I have to wait a week of torture to wait to get my tests back. Pooey))
((What are state tests? I'm totally clueless. *Shrugs* I guess that's what I get for being on a website where 75% of the members are American. Eh. So what are state tests?))
((Sorry! I see now... What should happen?))
Cedric looked at Valian. "Partners?", he asked hopefully.
((Strawberry Fields...))
"So which 3 constellations are we going to do?", Cedric asked.
"So which 3 constellations are we going to do?", Cedric asked.
"Sure", Cedric agreed, taking out a piece of parchment and a quill. He scrawled the three constellations down quickly, subconsciously muttering them underneath his breath.
Cedric began scribbling down the stars in the constellations, starting with Orion.
Cedric stopped writing, his eyes watching Valian as she wrote, admiring her writing.
"W-What? I mean, um, yeah, I remember the star. It's Leo, right?", Cedric asked, his daze ending abruptly.
"Yeah. Of course I remember. Sorry", Cedric said, resuming his work.
Cedric, however, found that he was fighting the urge to look at her again, and had to close his eyes for several moments to control himself. He briefly wondered why he was so desperate to look at her, but pushed the thought aside, in case Valian noticed him stopping work again.
Cedric finished Orion and seeing Valian working on Ursa Major, he leaned back, watching her. He gazed at her, watching as she worked. He smiled faintly.
Cedric tried to hide his blush, especially since Professor Sinistra was coming up the aisle to check on work.
((Sorry!)
Cedric prods Valian gently. "I was wondering... um, if you'd like to... um, come to Hogsmeade with me next time we go", he said quietly.

((ACK!! I'm so sorry!))
"Will your friend be coming with us? Because, I, um, I just wanted to um, go by ourselves, I mean", Cedric said.
"Will your friend be coming with us? Because, I, um, I just wanted to um, go by ourselves, I mean", Cedric said.
"Yes, she'll probably find something by herself. I mean, she'll be able to do something she wants to do. It's just... I wanted to go with you, alone, I mean", Cedric said.
"You do?", Cedric said excitedly, dropping his voice significantly as he received a look from the professor. "I mean, um, you do?"
"Really?", Cedric asked. He wasn't exactly intelligent, otherwise he'd be in Ravenclaw, wouldn't he?
"Um, thank you? Sorry, I'm just always skeptical when people say that...", Cedric said.
"They do it because people keep saying they're really good and then they let it get to their head", Cedric replied.
((I'm so sorry! I completely forgot!))
"Well, I can assure you, you are quite the opposite. Quite the opposite", Cedric said firmly.
"Well, I can assure you, you are quite the opposite. Quite the opposite", Cedric said firmly.
((Sorry again! I completely forgot once again!))
"It's no problem", Cedric said, smiling back.
"It's no problem", Cedric said, smiling back.
((I am really bad at keeping track of these things...:( ))
"Yeah. Valian, I've got something to tell you", Cedric said quietly.
((What about Ben and Rini?))
"Yeah. Valian, I've got something to tell you", Cedric said quietly.
((What about Ben and Rini?))
"I… would like to, um, ask you… er… to um, ifyouwouldconsiderHogsmeadeadate", Cedric said, words spilling out rather fast.
((I'm really sorry! There's been a ton of homework and a lot of personal issues got in the way!))

Cedric smiled. "Great! So do you play Quidditch for Ravenclaw?", he asked.
Cedric's enthusiasm diminished a little. "Y-You don't like Quidditch?", he asked, amazed.
"Why?", Cedric asked, trying to wrap his mind around such an idea. Not play Quidditch? His dad had always encouraged him to do Quidditch, so anything opposite of that was quite mind-blowing.
"Oh. Do… do you, um, enjoy the, uh, company of those… who, um, play Quidditch?", Cedric asked, placing his words carefully. Cedric liked music as well… just not as much as Quidditch.
"So you just… don't like the sport Quidditch. Do you fly though? Leisurely?", Cedric asked.
"Well that's interesting. You know, I've never met someone quite like you before, who's into flying but not Quidditch. Honestly, I like it," Cedric said, a smile escaping him.
Cedric blushed and ducked his head. "Me? No, I'm not that interesting…", he said.
"I doubt it. I'm not really… no. I'm just not that interesting. I'm more of a plain, jock, smart-ish kind of guy. Not that interesting. While, you, on the other hand, are quite interesting. You like flying, but don't like Quidditch, are a quiet person, and someone who I'm getting the feeling has a lot of things she doesn't tell people, even people… close to her", Cedric said, looking at Valian.
"And… do you trust me?", Cedric asked, leaning towards her ever so slightly.
"Really. You know a lot about me. What I've told you is basically me. Now, on the other hand, someone hasn't been spilling too many beans," Cedric said, leaning closer.
"Where do you live? Are you're parents Muggles or wizards? How old are you?", Cedric asked, firing off several questions.
