Cedric paused for a moment. "Valian… you said "was". Are your parents… um, dead?", he asked quietly.

"Oh. I'm sorry for your loss. I shouldn't have asked. Curiosity got the better of me, and I'm sorry," Cedric said, staring at the ground in shame.
Cedric felt a slight tingle on his shoulder when she touched him and he smiled. "You're in Ravenclaw, right?", he asked, pointing to the Gryffindor crest on her uniform.
"Oh. Okay. I could get you another one if you want, in Hogsmeade's," Cedric offered.
Cedric flushed and in the heat of the moment, he kissed her back and ducked away, shy all of a sudden.
"Well, in case you didn't like it", Cedric explained. He looked back up at her, smiling a shy smile.
"Yeah… that's a logical reason. It's just… I don't know, weird. Like I've never really seen you around. I'm in the same class as you and I've never really… seen you", Cedric said.

"The Muggle world? Wouldn't that be a bit hard to do considering you're a witch?" Cedric asked.
"If there was one thing you could do in the future, what would it be?" Cedric asked, staring at her.
"That's cool. You ever go out on a date?" Cedric blurted out.
Cedric smiled, but said nothing. "You ever have a boyfriend before?" he asked a bit bold.
"Why?" Cedric asked, ducking his head when Professor Sinistra passed by.
