Worldcat is good, OpenLibrary isn't - they expressly say the take their data from Amazon so we can't... If you can scan though that would be awesome, and probably loads better than anything else too :)

Brandi, you aren't allowed to change covers of books. Totally against GR Policy. They will all have to be changed back.

From the Author Tips at the beginning of the Librarian Group:

Q: My book has a new cover, but the ISBN/ASIN has not changed. How do I change the cover on Goodreads?

A: Goodreads policy is not to change covers on books that have already been published. Instead, an alternate-cover edition may be added. Start a new thread in this folder if you need help.

Please note: Authors who also have librarian status who delete old covers or otherwise vandalize older editions of books may have their librarian privileges revoked.


What we do is an alternative cover edition and then you can decide which cover is the one that shows on searches etc.

Ah, OK - I understand now! Basically, anything that links back to Amazon is forbidden, because of the new rules, as well as other sellers.

Anyway, I have found out my copy and, as I now have Librarian status, have added the cover.

The only issue I can see with it now is an edition one:
The Ancient Gods and Ancient Gods are different editions of the same book, but it's impossible to combine them because of the author's name! As far as I know, his name is listed as E.O. James on both editions of the book.

Oh, sorry - we were talking about a different book: Decoding Egyptian Hieroglyphs. I've been updating my catalogue on and off for weeks and I think it's finally driven me crazy!

I can't actually find my copy at the moment, so I've added the WorldCat image. At least that way it's easy to see the difference between the separate editions.

I don't know, Sandra. It corresponds to the author and title and it is better to have a cover for it. I saw the book without cover and looked for it and I found the indicated cover at worldcat.

Sorry Floqueta, I've put the cover on the large print edition, and if you're not sure it is the same, then we don't add it to the other edition. That is GR policy - better to have no cover, than the wrong cover.
