I am a new author to this site. I believe my book is finally here, but it is without a cover. How do I add the cover. The name of the book is: The Year of the Cicadas, it is on Amazon, Nook, IBook, and my website, www.theyearofthecicadas.com. What do I need to know to fix this? Any advice would be great.

What date & publisher did you want for PDGF?

Also both of them are listed as ebook, so is one meant to be kindle?

Wow, thanks Sandra for the quick response! Thanks also for adding the next book (it may be out earlier than 2014, but I'll let you know then).

I just uploaded PDGF on Amazon (it's already on Kobo and Smashwords), so I think it's safe to list the date as January 2013, and the publisher as me (Aya Ling). I haven't planned on doing a paperback for PDGF yet, so only one edition is needed for kindle.

I thought the 2nd one would be earlier than 2014, but without a firm date at the moment, 2014 is the obvious choice until you know when it will be released.

I'll also set up the series for you. What would you like to call it?

I got all the additional information added for the books in #310 EXCEPT I did not add the alternative cover edition.

Rose - you linked to the amazon page and we can't use any information or images from Amazon or other commercial booksellers. I've looked on the publisher site but it's under construction. If you have access to the image from a non-commercial site and can post it to your profile, please do so and one of us will be happy to create an alternate cover edition for you.

ETA: Never mind I found the image via author site/publisher site. Adding alt edition now. And Done.

The link you posted to the new cover art is not working. I am working on making a new edition for your book, as you say it has a new publisher and cover.

Can you send a link to it on the publisher's site? Or maybe you can write up the publisher/pub date for me so I can add it?

Mike, it looks like you changed all the edition data for your book so that it would reflect the new edition coming out. I am undoing those changes and making a new edition for this Sapphire Star Publishing edition.

Any book in the system that has been published needs to stay in the system. We make new editions and then group those together.

I know that you aren't allowed to use the amazon data but the publisher's website was being renewed (I think) and wasn't avaible at the time I posted. Sorry for the extra work and thanks again! :)

Edit: Sorry, don't mean to be annoying but can you combine the edition with all the Jasper Jones editions?

Mike, as was mentioned to you already once in this thread, it is NOT ok to edit an existing edition to a new edition. Rather, we add a new edition from scratch and combine with the older edition.
