**this post has been edited**
Thanks Dee - I was just reviewing my October books and it dawned on me what I had done here! Please disregard messages 2 and 3 - I will change the lists as soon as I can. Sorry if I confused you, but at least then I won't be alone!!
Murder Mystery IdeasPlease note that not all books found on these lists will meet the criteria, but it is a good place to start

Hi Nicola,Great categories! I have a question...
For-
8. Shopping Reminder Day (November 26): Naturally we are being reminded to do our Christmas shopping! To help you get into the spirit, read a book with a Christmas theme (perhaps you can pick one up while out shopping…)
Can we use Chanukah or any other 'Christmas time' holiday? Kwanzaa?
No problem, I have one on my shelf with Chanukah as the theme that I might use so I just wanted to make sure it was ok :)
I actually have 4 sitting on my tbr that would fit the holiday theme, just can't decide which to use!
I just noticed that the newest book in the Play-by-Play series by Jaci Burton, Playing to Win, is set in St. Louis, MO. So you can meet the challenge and contemplate that great cover.
Is there a page requirement? Sorry new to the group so wanted to make sure before I started picking. :)
Generally there is no page requirement, unless it is specified in the category description or rule. And rereads and audiobooks are fine too. As well as using the book in multiple challenges - we all love multitasking like that!
True we all love to use books in multiple challenges MountainKat - but I've just realized I cannot remember all of the challenges I have signed up for!

Sandra wrote: "Nicola, you need either a member thread or a private group to sort yourself out. LOL."
Definitely! I use a member reading list and it helps so much!!
Sandra wrote: "Nicola, you need either a member thread or a private group to sort yourself out. LOL."I'm no sure what those are - but I definitely need something to help me! I thought I was doing okay, but got busy at work and ....
Nicola - go to the Members Reading Lists area, and you can create a thread to keep track of your challenges. I'd be totally lost without mine!
Hello all, I am not a big YA reader, the latest read was the Hunger Games series. Can anyone recommend a good YA book? Preferably not part of a series.
Thanks!
Here are some Hina:
(haven't read it but have heard good things about it)
( I looved this book!)
(one of my favorites of the year!
Hi Hina!Check out my YA shelf, I have some goodies that are stand-alone and if they are on my kls shelf I can loan it to you.
I'm not a big fan of YA either, but I can second Fran's recommendation of Totally Tubular. She recommended it to me a few months ago when I whined to her about needing a YA book, and I really liked it.
This is my first challenge and I need some clarification on #3. Is it correct to state, I can choose any book involving the farming industry, set on a farm/ranch, or about a cowboy irregardless of whether the author is from or setting is Missouri?
Hi Colette!Welcome and have fun with your first challenge! So glad to have you join us :)
Yes, if you choose a book based on farm/ ranch, cowboy, etc. the author does not have to be from Missouri and the setting doesn't need to be Missouri either.

D.G., I ended up starting Easy today, since it was in the beta hero shelf in the hearts and tears game and I could use it for the monthly. LOL. Just wanted to tell you, I'm not halfway into it but so far so good. Its keeping me interested and maybe I should pay more attention to books that are YA/New adult...:)

Easy by Tammara Webber. One of my favourite books of the year
I have a question for 4. Plan Your Epitaph Day, I have a book where the death of close friends/teammates of the hero is a large factor in his life during the book. I figured that would be OK, but at the end it turns out they weren't really dead - would that still work?If that makes any sense...? Trying to ask without giving too much away, don't even want to say the name of the book.

I think that is okay - because the storyline would be completely different without the "death" of this character. Go ahead.

Just now saw this! Thanks for the help! Any suggestions?
Colette,I just finished Lumberjack In Love
