A simply delightful read!

Lumberjack In Love is a cute, saucy, feel good short story that's full of witty dialogue, colorful characters, and steamy romance. For a novella, I was amazed at the depth of characterization and richly developed plot this book achieved.

The hero and heroine, Marcus (oh my, how I fell in love with this bearded lumberjack of a man) and Ami were captivating and charming characters. Their budding relationship and fun banter had me swooning, laughing, and comp

This was so much fun to read! LUMBERJACK IN LOVE is a great sizzling hot and funny contemporary romance set in a small town in Vermont.

Marcus & Ami

This short story packs quite a bit into it. Ami and Marcus are well developed characters, who at first appear to be as opposite as day and night. She a city gal; he a woodsman "lumberjack" that prefers the country. But quickly we see an attraction burning between them, and their flirting was just so fun to read. When things heated up - and I mean HEAT

4 1/2 Stars!!Like melted butter and warm maple syrup on a stack of flapjacks…this was DELICIOUS!! Marcus and Ami were a delightful couple, total opposites, or so you think. The steam rises to the top quickly and then the sweet sets in, along with the fun. Wonderful witty dialogue, accompanied by a plot that requires no thinking, it’s just amusing, charming, and warms you to

This was such a sweet, hot and funny read! A real gem Photobucket

And it proves that bearded lumberjacks CAN be HOT AS HELL!

Here's how I picture him

So, the story is about Ami and Marcus, two total opposites. She's from the big city, used to all the noise and hordes of people. He's kind of a mountain man (her words), lives in a log cabin in the woods, loves nature and peace around him. They're so great together, at first they can't stand each other, always throwing insults (her mostly Photobucket ) but their
Finally, got me self this book thanks to KarLynP for lending it. Babe, you're AWESOME.

This is Lumberjack Marcus and he was plenty awesome as well.

This was just a light funny read with lots of hot smexxings. No intricate plots involving bad guys here. Just a story about a tree hugger falling for a city slicker. I enjoyed this and Marcus very much, hairy chest and all.

Oh my Lordy.... *runs screaming into the woods* I have a serious case of lust for a certain bearded lumberjack... Now THAT was NEVER a sentence I thought I would ever write in a romance review... EVER...

But this book was off the charts with everything;

- Funny, sassy heroine: CHECK
- SMOKING' HAWT, totally Alpha hero, who makes your *cough* unmentionables wet, who also happens to be a bearded lumberjack; CHECKITY-CHECK-CHECK
- Zinging one-liners and more lumberjack double entendres you can pok

This was such a cute sexy read and I absolutely LOVED every moment. I was smiling the whole way through. The H&h were fantastic together and man the sparks sure did fly.

For a short book it really had a great story line to it with some very sweet and also funny moments. I'm sure glad that Karlyn recommended it to me because I sure would have lost out on a wonderful read,

It was cute and a little fun, but I didn’t connect with it. It was a great read to pass the time. I hope that doesn’t sound harsh.

I enjoy the opposites-attract tropes, but there was something missing from the MC’s chemistry and from the plot.

I also really didn’t like the ending. It was an HEA, but before we got to the HEA I felt like the heroine was selfish and I really wanted the hero to give her his middle finger and move on.

This was a short, sweet, funny wonderful find!

Loved the characters, story, and writing!

Sweet love story....makes me want to move to the mountains and find my own Lumberjack Man!!!
Witty, smoking chemistry, and wonderful characters- especially the hero. The story was cute- opposites attract theme- and I couldn't put it down once I started it. Even though the romance story line wasn't extremely unique, the sarcastic dialog, the hot, hot sex, and sweet romance made it an irresistible read. It was also my first lumberjack hottie and I will be looking for more like him.

Ignore the cheesy cover...the book is 100 times better

I have a big silly grin on my face as I write this review. Fun, romantic, compulsively readable, and adorable are all adjectives I'd use to describe Lumberjack In Love. It is a perfect read for when you need something light, yet utterly satisfying.

Lumberjack in Love is the perfect "opposites attract" romance. Ami is from the city and Marcus is from the deep woods of Vermont. They meet when Ami is town visiting her sister, brother-in-law, and adorable 8 year old niece. The sparks fly from the mom

Why is it when there is a story that includes a Lumberjack they are always bearded and sexy as all hell? Here is my version of Marcus aka the sexy lumberjack. I know I know. There is no flannel shirt and he isn’t in the woods chopping down a tree but you get the! ;)

Lumberjack In Love was a short, sexy, feel good story that was a lot of fun to read. The two main character could not have been anymore different. Marcus was the guy who lived his life in the hills of Vermont and Ami

This was seriously cute fluffy fun! In my mind, Marcus is Joe Manganiello a la Alcide Herveaux and I am swooning.

Now, maybe because of the whole Alcide/werewolf connection and rural setting, I couldn't help but compare 'Lumberjack in Love' with Molly Harper's 'How to flirt with a Naked Werewolf' How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf (Naked Werewolf, #1) by Molly Harper (Vermont, Alaska - it's all the same right?? LOL - just kidding...) and I found LiL a bit... well, wanting in the humor department. Sure it was definitely fun, cute and fluffy, but I nev

Well, this was a lot of fun! It's short and sweet, has some funny times, some sexy times, and ends on a great note. Easy to read in less than a couple of hours, which was why I started it. Mr. Lumberjack chops wood, has porch sex, loves kids, and wants a future Mrs. Lumberjack and many baby lumberjacks. I have a weakness for dirty, sweaty, super manly alpha men. So this was perfect for me!

After being betrayed in love and business by the same man, Ami, a city girl from Boston visits her sister in regional Vermont. While there she meets Marcus (the lumberjack). He lives in a cabin in the forest and builds children's playhouses for a living.

She's not all that impressed with life in Vermont and is eager to get back to her big city with it's Starbucks on every corner, but Marcus has other ideas.

Lumberjack in Love is a very short, sweet contemporary romance. It's not the greatest boo

This one was recommended to me by one of my GR friends (thanks by the way), I thought it had potential, then all of a sudden it was popping up on lots of peoples feeds with good ratings. So I decided to take the plunge and be like the cool kids.

This was a fun one. I loved how different Ami and Marcus were, how right from the start they were sniping at each other. As they got to know each other better it seemed like their sniping was foreplay. I loved how Marcus just kept after Ami, slowly wearin

I debated about this book because I was put off by the cover. I am so glad I listened to my good friend Kristen and took a chance! This short read is all kinds of hot. Where do I start? Well, with the oh so sexy lumberjack man himself Marcus, um...can I get a hell yeah for a real man with a beard and some chest hair! Whoooeeee, I had to fan myself! And how about our "flatlander" heroine Ami? She was so snarky and sarcastic, I laughed out loud at her. She was great.

In A Nutshell (Quick First Thoughts): I was looking for a quick, cute, and steamy read to tide me over until I start my spooky book fest in October when I heard about Lumberjack In Love. I wasn't expecting much but was willing to give it a go. I am so glad I did! I loved this little hidden gem of a story!

This novella was super cute! It took me a couple hours to read & I couldn't put it down! A woman visiting her sister is sent to this guys cabin to hand him a check for a playhouse/cottage he is building for the woman's niece. Instantly she finds him quite hot. She's a city girl & he's a mountain man... The way this relationship unfolds is funny & great.

Yep, this book was too cute! I think I am gonna pull out my husband's plaid flannel shirts! I can always dream he is a "Paul Bunyan" and I am a "Playboy Bunny"!! Also..... I am dying for a Marcus Anderson original playhouse..... just sayin'! Ms Watson has such a unique style of writing. I love when humor is injected in a story that will make you just die out laughing and any given time! Marcus is the perfect man, and Ami is his match. LOVED THIS STORY!!

I'm not gonna pretend that it's not the lumberjack in the title that didn't grab my attention to this novella or that the Bulldog owner in the summary didn't convince me to read it :p

Ami used to be a landscape design, before her boyfriend (ex after that) appropriated her work and stole her contacts. While she's visiting her sister in Vermont, the latter send her up to deliver a deposit check to the guy who's building a tree house for Ami's niece. The man live in a log cabin in the wilderness an

So like a year ago all of my friends were reading this and just going nuts over how great it was. I'm not a big contemporary fan, so I just put it on the TBR list and went on my merry way.

Then this popped up again as being only $.99 and even with the new cover, I was pretty sure this was the same book. Sure enough, it was, so I snapped it up and in a mood for something short, I dove in.

What a great decision! I mean seriously, I don't think I stopped smilin
