This book would have been published in the 1970's or earlier. It is a children's book about two girls who run away (from where? Can't remember...can't even remember WHY they ran away) and set up housekeeping in an abandoned farm house. Eventually they get found out...a passer-by sees light leaking around the cardboard they put up to block the window. The title is something like "The Night Winds," but I've done extensive searches with that title and can't find it. Even went back to the small town I grew up in, to the actual library I borrowed the book from, and they couldn't help me out. I would love to re-visit this book. Hope someone can help me out!

Well OMG! That did it! You would honestly think that with the title so close to what I thought it was, I would be able to find it! But nooooo! All is well now, gonna get me a copy. THANK YOU!
