No problem Ellie! I like being precise too. ;)

Welcome Melanie, Ashley, and Nathaly!
How are you guys coming along with this so far? I know it's only been a few days, but has anyone started their first one yet?
I started Parasite Rex : Inside the Bizarre World of Nature's Most Dangerous Creatures a few days ago and am really surprised at how much I like it so far. It's way way out of my usual comfort zone!

eta: for an easy way to find a book's Dewey classification, you can use the OCLC DeweyBrowser: http://www.oclc.org/dewey/resources/s...
Just enter the title, or title and author, and it will give you the Dewey number. It's a great resource for those of us who mostly read ebooks :)

I don't really recommend it, but it was cute and quick, which I needed because The Count of Monte Cristo is much longer than I first realized!

000-049:Atlantis & Lemuria by Frank Joseph (001.94 JOS)
150-199:Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain (155.232 CAI)
200-249:The Masque of Africa by V. S. Naipaul (200.96 NAI)
300-349: Sex with the Queen: 900 Years of Vile Kings, Virile Lovers, and Passionate Politics by Eleanor Herman (B/306 HER)
400-449: The English Language by Robert Burchfield (420.20)
550-599:Earth: An Intimate History by Richard Fortey (551.7 FOR)
600-649: The Brain Fix: What's the Matter with Your Gray Matter: Improve Your Memory, Moods, and Mind by Ralph E. Carson (612.82)
750-799: Kabul Girls Soccer Club: A Dream, Eight Girls, and a Journey Home by Awista Ayub (796.334 AYU)
800-849: Terry Pratchett: The Spirit of Fantasy by Craig Cabell (823/PRA)
900-949: Fire from Heaven: Life in an English Town in the Seventeenth Century by David Underdown (942.331)

I always have one fiction and one nonfiction book going so I'll definitely try this one. I'll go through my TBR and see which categories I have to work with.

I tend to go through the fiction books much more quickly.

Karina, I'm definitely putting that on my TBR! Sounds right up my alley. :)
