Yup. The abbreviation is PuFo but it's pronounced pofo. I think just because it sounds cooler that way.
I've never tried actual debating, but I have done a public speaking for projects, introducing ideas in schools, and to just make a speech! (I might sound old, but I'm really not. Really, I'm not.) But when you do a public speech, many people can criticize you. Low murmurings can tend to make you feel down, which is a downside to public speaking. That is, if you're really sensitive to it. Or maybe they're really obnoxious and yell out, "You suck!" while you're giving a public speech. But the idea of saying your opinions and trying to make people believe you and not the other person sounds cool, too. But when you debate, you tend to say all the good things about your side. You don't say anything bad or what could be the effect of it, so debating makes you biased.
So I think I that I like debating better. BUT just by a small millimeter. Because I enjoy both debating and public speaking. Even though I haven't properly done a REAL debate, it still interests me.
@Annie I like talking about good and bad. I don't like being all happy-nothing's-wrong because I feel like I'm deceiving people I guess....
My season is over. But we're deciding our events for next year, and I'm doing an expos/research paper/speech on popcorn for English and speech! And maybe an OO and OA on the same topic, or just an OO, and a TI.

Mine is too. :( After States were over, it was over for me since I didn't qualify to NFL's or CFL's (long story for CFL's). I did break to Semis at States and Districts though, which was perfectly thrilling! :D

Oh and I do some duo interp with my friend once in a while if we need a break. LD is my main event though.

Originally OO, but I switched to Storytelling and then to HI (because of Districts/States). My friend and I are going to do a Duo next year, and I'm planning on continuing to do HI.

I like debates....because i can argue, and i think it is interesting to know what others say!
I like debates more...am good at arguing and proving my point...also speeches kind of scare me out :)
