What time is it and what are you doing?
7:34AM Have a beautiful day out with family planned for today once Kay is out of school. She has early release and will be allowed to leave by 12:30. So that is nice. Then we will go get my oldest Daughter and make a trip to Cici's. Then the book store(s). Aeverie is showing great interest in reading. I love that! About to go make some breakfast for Randy and I while the lil one still sleeps. Good Morning GR.

I hope you can finish NOS4A2 today:)

That's great that Aeverie is showing some interest in reading. Maybe now you guys could read together:) Seeing my grandma read made me want to read. She introduced me into Stephen King and bought me my first King book.
11:14 AM and I really need to try and finish one of my books today. I'm five book behind on my 50 book challenge.

4:12 p.m. EST and again I slept all day. I have just been so tired this week. Guess it's the weather. Anyway, I have over 100 pages left to edit in this book I'm working on so it might end up carried over into next week, especially since the sections on Chakras are all messed up and I need to figure out how to actually see them. Hubby had to go meet the truck at 7:45 this morning, came home around 11 and crashed, but he has to go back at 5. I hope he doesn't have to work a double again tomorrow, not least because I'm supposed to meet a reporter tomorrow at 10 for an interview (well she's an intern for the local free paper, but still... LOL) and I've been looking forward to it because we're meeting at Jittery Joe's and I can grab a coffee while we're there.... So, that's all the news that's fit to print...

4:47 p.m. and I made a commitment to myself to do absolutely nothing tonight unless it is something I want to do and enjoyable. Not grocery shopping, cooking, washing laundry, giving rides, etc. I even put a sign on my door that says "Cindy is on strike today. You can knock if you just want to visit but I'm taking the day for me". Jeff thought it was funny. I thought of it as a early Christmas present. I would like to read some tonight and maybe sit outside for a while.

5:31 p.m. EST Erasmus is sitting in the window meowing at something outside. Or maybe just meowing in general. I'm almost done with e-mail... lot of it piled up today!

I'm with you on that one Chuck. I might have to do the same soon.

9:40 p.m. and it was so hard to actually sit still today but I did it. I just played on the computer and called my daughter. Haven't read any yet, but I'm going to read for a bit now. This was awesome but hard at the same time.

I am sorry I haven't been around much. I have missed so much happening with you all please don't hate me for not taking the time to catch up. I will start fresh here. Very rough week for me and my return to work has not been pleasant. Got some great books ahead of me and I am going to try to lose myself in them soon. Hope everyone is doing well. I will be around more soon.
Well good evening to all my fine GR friends. I have been gone all day and do you know what that means? YEP! No reading at all. BUT On the other hand I had a completely awesome day out with my family and you know what else? I GOT *DRUMROLL PLZ* BOOKS!!!!!! LOL Yes you heard me correctly folks I got 5, yep I said 5 new books!!!!! plz make your way over to the 'what have you bought' thread and read about my newest purchases.

Yeah, quality definitely beats quantity in this case.
I did Kathryn, just lacked in the reading area, but that's ok when I get to spend time with my family.

Chris, sorry things have been rough. Let me know if you need to vent, my inbox is always open.
Cindy, way to go! You should take some time for yourself every day, even if it's just an hour, and shut the world out and just take care of yourself.
11:35 p.m. EST I tell ya, this book is more and more fascinating! Coyote Dreaming: Find Yourself While You Sleep integrates Jungian archetypes, angels, the zodiac, chakras, and the Platonic Solids in a system to help with self-realization through dreams. It's really a cool idea! I haven't had a chance to really go through the Chakras section, because the table overlaps the text and as a result I can't read most of any of it, so the author is re-doing them and sending them under separate cover so I can edit them, and then he'll reintegrate them into the whole. I am a bit concerned that the book doesn't live to its full potential as an e-book. This is the sort of thing you really need a physical copy of so you can flip back and forth and find places more easily. Maybe I can convince him to set up a paperback version. Anyway, I'm down to the last 29 pages, so I was taking a quick break to clear out e-mail before hitting that final stretch. Anyone interested in this sort of thing should totally check this book out; hopefully the file will be updated by the end of the month with my edits.
Onward and upward!

That the things about books: they'll wait on you and all ways be there after you do the important stuff.

Chuck and Janie: I think taking time away from reading is important. You don't want to get burned out, and sometimes we need a break. A few days ago, for some reason, I didn't feel like reading, so I didn't. I didn't force myself to, and I decided I would read when I felt like it. The next day, I was so ready to get back into the story. So, I think taking a day off, or even a few days off is important. Sometimes between books, I will take a day off or even a few days, and sometimes it just helps me close my mind on the last story, but helps me think of what I am in the mood for next. :)

9:03AM Siting here on GR Sipping coffee and enjoying the morning. Found a friend request on FB yesterday for a cousin I have not spoke to in so long, so that was a nice surprise! He looks great. Just peeked in on the pumpkin plants, I really do think the leaves grow 2 in everyday. They are huge now lol.
Chuck that is so true, and I am glad they can wait on me! I also think that being able to break from reading is important.

Chris, sorry things have been rough...."
Thank you so much for your concern. I will take you up on venting if need be. There has just been a lot of stress this week and my return to work was a rough one. I will be fine, I just need to try to get past this hurdle. I am so sorry to hear you feel horrible, I hope your meds help you feel better. That must be rough to deal with.
Kathryn, sounds like you are a lucky lady getting 4 days with your husband. Enjoy your time together
Janie, Pumpkin plants huh, that is really cool. I hope it works out for you. I will have to try that when we finally get a house with a yard big enough for a little garden.
9:15AM and I'm at work missing my family and wishing I was home.
Chris, actually I just put the soil in and Aeverie planted the seeds. He did really well. I am hoping that I can help them survive till fall with HUGE pumpkins on the vine.

That would be really cool if it works out. My son would love to do that, and then we could carve the pumpkins ourselves. Buying them is so expensive these days. I hope it turns out for you and look forward to hearing all about it.

Chris, glad to see you posting again! I've been wondering about you. Sorry you're having a rough time. I hope things get better. **Hugs**
Kathryn, congrats to your hub! Have a great weekend together!
Katy, your book sounds fascinating! I'm a Jungian freak.
Cindy, good for you taking some time for yourself!
2:13pm EST. Hub took today off (his boss offered because of all the recent stress he's been under), so we've been hanging out drinking coffee and chatting. A wonderful start to the day. I've done a little reading while he's been messing on the computer. Ordered our son's graduation portraits--can't wait to get them! We're getting a composite of him shaking hands with the dean and the other of him getting hooded. Cool! Happy Friday all my GR friends!

Kathryn, glad you got to finish NOS4A2 and enjoyed it, enjoy your weekend with Mark!

9:32PM, Ok now that my whole day is over LOL Just got back from SIL house, now drinking coffee and gonna read more of Heart Shaped Box and maybe more of House as well. Would like to finish one or maybe both by tomorrow sometime. I have another buddy read in the Hannibal series and also wanna get started on Joyland.
LOL Holly I hit that "too tired" stage too early UGH! If I try reading my eyes begin to close! No more reading for me tonight.

8:34AM Sitting here on GR. Plan on finishing Heart Shaped Box today. And then House. I have not been able to read as much as I wanted to Thursday and Friday, but since hub is home those days I was a bit distracted. I plan on reading a ton today. Hope Kay is feeling better this AM. She slept most of the day yesterday and she is still sleep this AM. Will go check on her.
