Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 10:09 PM. I walked to get some pizza to a place I have been to. It was delicious! It was pizza by the slice, and I should have only gotten one piece, but at least the walk helped! Haha!! Now, I am about to enjoy some reading time, finish catching up on GR, and relax.

12:50 a.m. and I had to stop by grocery store on way home. Haven't had anything to eat yet and I have to get up in seven hours. Anybody on here able to make time stand still for about four hours? Gonna get something to eat and maybe read for an hour.

message 3503: by [deleted user] (new)

2:07 a.m. and I'm literally falling asleep while reading. Have to get up in less than six hours anyway. Goodnight everyone!

message 3504: by Katy (new)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments G'night, Cindy, hope you slept well. Kathryn, I'm jealous; Pizza sounds awesome!

5:03 a.m. EST Just finished manuscript one, about to begin manuscript two! Have to wake up hubby to work a double at 9:30, so staying up for a few more hours.

5:33am, just out of shower and checking out GR. MD appointment at 8am. Just routine. Wish there was some miracle cure for pain and depression. Trying to call on those inner strengths. I need a good book to distract me but am struggling to find one. Have a great day everyone!

7:06AM Kay just left for school, no the morning quiet is all mine. I am seriously considering laying back down. I have no energy this AM.

Terry sorry to hear about your depression, that's no good. I hope your spirits are able to lift soon. HUGS!

I know EXACTLY what you mean... I wish there were too.

9:30 a.m. Ready to take a nap, so clearing out e-mail and preparing to settle down.

Chris (cbrunner11) | 674 comments Terri I'm sorry you are still struggling, I'm pulling for you to get out of that depression slump so I hope it passes soon. Also good luck at the MD.

Katy, thanks again for keeping me amused yesterday, I will keep you in mind the next time I am bored out of my skull.

Kathryn pizza sounds awesome right now, I am jealous too.

9:00AM Back at work and ready for the day. I have a few things to get done right now, but I hope to get some reading in if it is slow.

Victor! Congrats!!!!!!

message 3514: by [deleted user] (new)

Congratulations Victor! I just love newborn babies! And, kids in general.

message 3515: by [deleted user] (new)

12:48 p.m. Have about an hour to read. Hate that I can't read that much at work now, but the stress is MUCH lower. I can deal with reading at an even slower pace I guess to keep my sanity in check. I'm already a slow reader, but the benefits in this situation outweigh the cons.

message 3516: by Katy (new)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Victor, new cousin, very cool! Congrats to your aunt, that poor woman! What a big baby to push out!

1:56 p.m. EST Not much of a nap, but so HUNGRY so needed to eat. Warmed up some leftover Hamburger Helper from a couple days ago, clearing out e-mail and then I guess I'll edit for awhile before I try again to nap.

message 3517: by Chris (new)

Chris (cbrunner11) | 674 comments Katy, a nap sounds amazing right now. I couldn't sleep last night so I am the walking dead right now. Hope you are able to take a good nap.

1:01PM and I am anxiously awaiting my lunch break. I am starving, and in need of an hour away from work. I always like taking my lunch late in the day, because when I come back I only have 2.5 hours left of my shift.

Well, I'm quite awake at the moment, so I'll wait a couple hours before I try again. I only managed an hour or two this morning, so I'm sort of gritty-eyed.

2:39 p.m. EST Realized I hadn't put my reviews of John Zakour's Zach books here, so I just copied them over from Amazon and also copied them into Shelfari and LibraryThing. I rated book 5 shortly after joining this site, but it's been 6 years, so I am not completely certain I actually read that one... I didn't review it, in any event. I am missing 6 and 7 altogether. Hopefully I'll pick them up someday. Zakour has started a daily webcomic on GoComic based on the stories, which should be awesome...

message 3520: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 4:05 PM. Just got back from finding something for lunch and going to the used bookstore. I found A hardback of Pet Sematary for six dollars and a hardback of Duma Key for three dollars. Now I am going to continue reading The Talisman!

Terri! So glad to see you post! I have missed you!! Wishing lots of strength to feel better. I have suffered from depression, as well, so I understand. Just know you are truly missed, and we miss hearing about your cute puppy Charlie! ***HUGS***

message 3521: by Katy (new)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 8:27 p.m. EST GAH, still didn't manage much sleep. Dog was fussing, so I put him out, and now he's barking. *sigh* Plus Fluff is whining and howling. It's just one of those evenings around here. I feel like whining/howling/barking, too. I'm freakin' tired but am not having much luck sleeping. Best just finish this editing job.

message 3522: by Shell (new)

Shell (shellcampbell) | 757 comments That's so exciting Victor! You're right about newborn's being adorable - I can't wait to meet my little nephew Charlie - he's due to be born in less than two weeks and I'm so excited!!

Nice finds Kathryn! Isn't it the best feeling when you see them sitting on the shelf? I always rush to grab them feeling like someone is going to beat me to it... even when the store is pretty much empty... hehe paranoid much?!

10.24am and I've managed to drag my sorry self into work. I hardly slept a wink last night because I couldn't get warm and I feel like I've swallowed a box of razor blades. I'm currently drinking a lemon and honey concoction and thinking positive thoughts about not getting sick!

message 3523: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments Michelle, hope you feel better! I hate when my throat hurts. It makes me hurt all over, it seems. Honey and lemon are good for sore throats, so hopefully it will make you feel better. *hugs*

hehehe Kathryn!

9:28PM Had a great workout. Now I am tired! LOL Had some coffee, and finally got to see The HOST! OMG I loved the book. The movie was ok, but so much was missing. It did not have that emotional impact on me like the book had. Was still good though.

Looking forward to going out tomorrow have some time with family, get some books and maybe lunch! Gonna get the paint so we can get the library put together.

Great finds for you Kathryn! Awesome! Michelle get well soon girlie!

message 3528: by Katy (new)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Ah, yes, Alondra don't you love the latest improvements to make our life easier?

Michelle, I haven't been able to cool off for a couple days, but it's better than being cold, so I'm not complaining, except for when I can't sleep! LOL

11:39 p.m. EST Just finished the 2nd manuscript. The third book in Dale Ibitz's series is going to rock and roll! Now to finish this Peter Hamilton book.

message 3529: by [deleted user] (new)

12:44 a.m. and didn't sleep well at all last night. Needless to say, I'm exhausted. However, I didn't get any reading done at work, so I'm gonna at least try to read for an hour or so. Don't know what happened last night but I kept waking up every hour. I would get up for 10-15 minutes, go back to bed, and wake up an hour later. Tonight is gonna be better. I feel it.

message 3530: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 11:50 PM. In bed to read for a bit. I am hoping I get some great sleep in because I need it. I am starting to think the weather is getting to all of my GR friends in this group. A lot of us have been in funks lately, and a lot of us haven't been sleeping well. It seems like a lot of us have had crazy weather lately, so maybe there is some correlation. Going to read now, but I wish you all happier days and restful nights. Hugs to all.......

message 3531: by Shell (new)

Shell (shellcampbell) | 757 comments hehe you reminded me of Roland Kathryn... long days and pleasant nights ;)

Hope you all get a good rest tonight and wake up feeling refreshed in the morning.

message 3532: by [deleted user] (new)

1:08 a.m. and my coffee maker decided to die! Errr! I always drink coffee when I read. Maybe it's for the best since I didn't sleep worth a hoot last night.

message 3533: by [deleted user] (new)

1:11am, just catching up with everyone. Congratulations on a beautiful new cousin Victor! Hope your throat is better Michelle. Thanks for the good wishes Janie and Chris. Kathryn, have you been doing Morning Pages?

Doc is starting me on a new antidepressant with more pain and anxiety relieving components. Takes 6-8 weeks to evaluate effectiveness, but I am hopeful. Slept a couple hours and now am awake and looking for a good book to read. I'm reading some good short stories but I'm almost done. I have a stack of 10 books from the library but nothing is calling to me. Thinking of joining the buddy read for The Talisman, but I need some stuff in the meantime!

Sweet dreams everyone!

Shell (shellcampbell) | 757 comments 3.13pm Just heard about the explosion in Texas - Kathryn you're in Texas right? Hope everyone you know is safe xo

message 3535: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments Thanks for asking! Yes, I am safe and my family is, too. It is sad, though, because it hits too close to home. A few years ago I stayed a weekend in West, Texas and it is a small town. We are lucky to live in Texas because Texans are usually very caring, generous, and we take care of each other.

message 3536: by [deleted user] (new)

OMG! The head of West, Texas EMS is saying that 60 people are confirmed dead so far. This is horrible!!!

What a tragedy! Glad you are safe Kathryn. Hope you are as well Janie.

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Oh, dear, thoughts to anyone near Waco tonight.

Terri, is it Cymbalta, or is it one of the new ones? I took Cymbalta for a few years and it worked quite well. The paperwork to continue receiving it became too aggravating so I stopped taking it.

3:47 a.m. EST Feeling sleepy. Haven't slept well for a couple days now, so hopefully I'll be able to take a decent nap, but I'm nervous about closing Erasmus in here because his stomach is upset and if he needs to throw up, I need him to do it in another room. We'll see; he's pretty happy under the sheet here, so I'll probably do like I always do and just let him be.

7:41AM All is well here guys thanks for inquiring. We are actually way away from Waco thank God! Our hearts go out to the families that are affected by this tragedy.

Today we will have a day out, but have to throw groceries in there some where. Soon we will also have to replace our water heater too...GAH! Always something I guess. But it seems to be leaking a bit more than before. *sigh* How to get ahead in this life I always ask. But will always be thankful for what we have.

Terri I hope the new meds will make things a little easier on you! Hope you get to join us on The Talisman. Kathryn hope you were able to get some rest and Michelle hope you are feeling better than you were :) Healing hugs to all. Have a good day!

Wow flood!!! I have never heard of that before. Well since you said everything is all right enjoy your day off. Hope you caught up on some sleep yesterday.

10:00AM Day three of rain. I love it, dark cloudy and pouring down rain. Had some fun driving through massive puddles in my Jeep on the way to work. Been getting a little reading in because we are really slow. I really hope it stays that way, I don't feel like doing much work today.

Michelle, hope your throat is feeling better. Terri, I am glad they have something to try and help you feel better. I am really hoping it works for you, you deserve to be happier.

Kathryn and Janie, I just head about the explosion. I am so glad you guys are ok, the group wouldn't be the same without you. If I missed any other posts I am so sorry if I missed you.

Ouch Jordan, I remember getting my braces on years ago and I still can feel the pain when I think about it. Hope you aren't to sore today, good luck with the rest of them. Braces are no fun.

message 3547: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 11:24 AM. So sleepy and trying to read. Didn't sleep well last night again. I think I will take something to help me sleep, like melatonin, tonight. My lack of sleep is making it hard to concentrate on reading. I would take a nap, but I am not in a place where that is possible. LOL. Hope you all have a great day!

message 3548: by Jordan (new)

Jordan (jords) | 277 comments Chris, strangely it's not hurting at the minute, hopefully I'll be an exception to the rule. Thank you so much!

12:40 p.m. Reading for a bit before work. Hoping the weather doesn't turn too bad tonight.

message 3550: by Chris (new)

Chris (cbrunner11) | 674 comments Well Jordan I hope that is the case. I think braces are bad enough on their own, you shouldn't have to suffer all the pain. Good luck with them.

Kathryn, sorry you are so sleepy. I got a little more sleep last night compaired to the last few nights so I can understand.

Cindy I hope you have a good day at work. I know mine hasn't been to bad, but my boss isn't here and it has been slow so I have been able to read a bit.
