What time is it and what are you doing?
Jordon, it sounds like you have a pinched nerve, or maybe a bit of your spine out of place. Have you ever seen a chiropractor or osteopath? Or at least a massage therapist might be able to relax the muscles enough to let whatever it out of place slip back into place. Also sorry to hear you have the flu on top of things... :-( Anyway, I know exactly the sort of thing you are describing and I know how incredibly painful it is. I hope you can see someone soon to try to fix it.Kathryn, sounds like you had some really yummy dinner! I'm drooling just thinking about it.
Kyle... Kyle... Kyle... (did you know I grew up with a boy named Kyle, he was like a little brother to me. We used to cause so much trouble and mischief... Maybe it's the name?)
12 a.m. EST Well, it was gorgeous yesterday morning, and Dmitry had to go open the store, so I stayed up in the morning, went and sat out in the sun a couple times, and finished the first book in the Nightingale trilogy by Stephen Leather before I finally crashed out shortly after one. I then slept all afternoon and into the evening. I had actually hoped to sleep just a while longer, since I have a doctor's appointment in the morning and I'll be pretty tired by the time it rolls around at this point, but ... no such luck. I'm up. Tomorrow is also supposed to be lovely, although yesterday they were forecasting rain. The meteorologists at Bing don't seem to be very good at their jobs. I'm scheduled for some editing, but I didn't see the manuscript in my inbox, so it might be a late start this week, which is okay; it would be anyway because of the doctor's appointment. Anyway, I now have a LOT of e-mail to go through, since I was off-line for so long. So, off to slog through it!
11:10 PM. About to update my GR blog, and then hopefully read a few pages in The Talisman. It was a really great weekend with my sweet husband. I hate to see the weekend end, but it does make me feel better to know I don't have to get up and go to a certain place I walked out of. (HA!) Anyways, hope everyone has a great night!
11:36PM Well I managed 100 pages tonight. So that is pretty good for a dull book. It is now time for me to crawl into bed and get some sleep. Nighty night GR!
12:43 a.m. and I've managed to read a chapter each in my Harry Potter and Percy Jackson books. Getting sleepy so I'm not sure if I'll make a chapter in 11/22/63 tonight or not. Goodnight Janie!
It is 2:24 a.m. and I managed to accomplish my goals of reading a chapter from each book I'm currently reading. Took a nap today and that seemed to help quite a bit. Usually when it gets this late my eyes start watering so badly that I can't read. Tired now and going to "fantasy island". My dreams have been pretty vivid lately (good, an no, not of THAT nature).
Katy, my mom did say that 'cause she used to be a nurse, but it went off after a while so I thought nothing of it but then it just comes back. I used to have no back pain until I slipped on the ice and threw my back out. People like that are hard to find in England:( but I'll see about the massage, thank you. :)
5.19pm about to leave work then head home to get ready for dinner with my in-laws! Have a great night everyone :D
5:55 a.m. EST Just checking/clearing e-mail and looking in my wishlist for freebies. I have a doctor's appointment in just under 3 hours, so I'll read until then. Once I'm back I have editing to do this week, the sequel to Annabell Cadiz's book Lucifer, called Michael. So that will probably keep me busy for a couple days! These are interesting stories and an interesting world she's created.
7:48AM Siting here in the peace and quiet. Aeverie still asleep. He will be up soon I am sure. Checking out GR and also playing family farm on FB LOL I like the games some times. Will be tackling more of book today. I sure do hope it gets better. Good Morning GR!
9:55 a.m. and I didn't get a lot of sleep. Jeff's nightmares kept me up (God love him). Hard to get mad about it because it's not something he has any control over. Don't really feel too bad considering. Gonna read for a couple of hours and then leave for work a bit early. Need to pick up some new uniform shirts today. Going to short sleeves until fall.
10:05 a.m. EST Just back from the doctor's office, clearing out e-mail before I start editing. I'm really tired, but no point even trying to sleep right now. Will nap once I have hubby off to work.

It has been years since I've read The Talisman. I've put it on my to-read list. Loved it!

This is the first time I've ever read it, but I have wanted to read it for a while. Thought I might give it a shot, especially since a lot of people seem to really like it. Did you read Black House, the sequel?
No, I have not but I might in the future.
Which one? The Talisman or the sequel? Or both? I thought The Talisman was kinda dark but very good.
Cindy wrote: "Which one? The Talisman or the sequel? Or both? I thought The Talisman was kinda dark but very good."The sequel. :) But, actually, as I'm reading The Talisman, it is kind of dark, too.
Cindy I am planning on reading both of them soon if you would like to do a buddy read on them? I am up for that!
If it's not too soon and I can catch up a little. When you planning this? I still have the Paper Towns starting the 13th.
We can start whenever you are ready, just say the word. I have to finish The Zero Hour, which is taking me forever. And I might be reading another YA The Wicked series. So really anytime will be fine.
Would starting it the end of the month be too long of a wait? That way I can finish 11/22/63 and Harry Potter. I'm not that worried about Paper Towns. It is a fairly short read.
Yes! I'm excited now! Thanks Janie!
Time for work :( - Have a great day everyone!
I loved The Talisman; that is what hooked me on Stephen King. Have The Black House somewhere, but haven't read it yet.Kyle, great pictures!
1:52 p.m. EST so tired cannot see straight; just clearing out e-mail before I wake hubby and send him to work and will finally be able to take a nap! Need to go grab the mail, it just arrived. Someone is mowing nearby; I hope they don't mow MY yard, 'cause I want to sleep...
12:56PM Have been able to read quite a bit of my book today. It has picked up a little (very little). The bad guy actually reached his destination about halfway through the book. All I can say is "ABOUT TIME".
1:09 PM. Making some soup for lunch. Need to do a few things around the house, like the dishes, but for now, I'm going to read and eat my soup when it's finished cooking.
12:03 a.m. EST Wondering what is in the air this past month or so. So many people have died lately: Rick Hautala, Roger Ebert, Margaret Thatcher, Annette Funichello (I might have spelled that wrong)... there was another, too; worked with JournalStone. Can't remember the name right now. Iain Banks is terminally ill. This is crazy!Anyway, up from a nap, clearing out e-mail, then will do some reading.
12:30 a.m. and I'm too pumped up to read at the moment. Have been watching my local news since our team won the championship. The police in this wonderful city are going nuts right now. Glad I'm at home. Cooking a meatloaf and watching the excitement on television. May or may not read tonight. Hope everyone had a great day!
12:57 a.m. EST Closing in on the end of my e-mail. Just discovered an interesting local country-rock band (I don't like country, but I like country-rock) called Phoenix Drive, so listening to one of their songs, and then will check out when/if they next play locally.
I like a lot of outlaw country. Charlie Daniels, Marshall Tucker, etc. I can't stand whiny country.
Cindy wrote: "Pat Benatar is the bomb!"And yes... yes she is!

Same here. I also like really old cowboy music, like Songs of the Pioneers. Grew up on it.
3:32 a.m. EST Just finished the 2nd book in the Nightingale series and ready to start on John Abramowitz's stuff. I found a 3rd book of his I need to read, but with the Vine stuff over my head I'll probably have to hold off on that... Dmitry is working a double, which means I need to wake him at 10 a.m., so I'll probably just stay up and read. Clearing out e-mail before I set things up.
10.30amWatching Charmed on TV, while my 8month old attempts to crawl (He's almost there :D ) across the floor. And of course, reading. Currently the 3rd Harry Potter book :) x
7:16 a.m. EST Just finished Atticus for the Undead and that ending was a kick in the teeth. Reminded me of Patrick Freivald's Twice Shy, which seemed pretty much a standard YA urban fantasy until that ending came along and knocked my feet out from under me. Atticus... seemed like a legal thriller in an urban fantasy setting until the ending, which also kicked my feet out from under me. Love unexpected horror! Now I have really high expectations for the next one! Onward!
9:18 AM. Feeling MUCH better today. Need to do the things I didn't do yesterday around the house, get back into working out, and if course, read. :)
Glad you're feeling better, Kathryn!10:22 a.m. EST Well, I flew through THAT book, and now I'm really tempted to read the 3rd of his books I have before I move on to the Vine stuff... it's short, I can read it today I"m sure... LOL
12:17PM I missed posting here this AM because I actually crawled back into bed with Aeverie till he woke up. So now here I am! Have been able to read a little today whilst doing the laundry. I really dislike Laundry. LOL Hoping to finish this book tonight, that would be great, or at least in the morning. have a great bunch of books line up and very excited to read.
1:29 p.m. EST Finished 3rd book of the day, ready to take a nap, just clearing out e-mail first. Talk to everyone later!
1:32 p.m. and been running like crazy this morning. Only have half an hour or so to read :(
Kathryn wrote: "3:23 PM. Have been doing chores and now I'm going to read for a bit."Happy Reading Kathryn, I hope you finish your book Janie. You haven't seemed as enthusiastic about this one.
3:30PM and I am a half hour away from my lunch break. I am starving. Got a little reading in so far but hopefully work is slow tonight so I can get more in. Planning on listening to the Blues game tonight and that is great to pass time between periods.
It's. 5:12 and I just read a message from my best friend and will reply after dinner when I can drag my laptop out. :D
5:23PM Just finished dinner, and cleaned up the kitchen. Will definitely finish my book tonight. Yay!
You're right Chris, I have not been very enthusiastic with this read. I really have not enjoyed it. And now that it has picked up, it has become pretty predictable.
