Catching up on the TV I missed last night (So glad I can record!) and playing a few fb games.. Its impossible for me to pick a book up before my baby boy is in bed..
:)

Kathryn, so glad to hear you guys had such a great day. You deserve it after a tough week of work.
Janie, I understand getting the bug to just play some games. I have a few on my phone I'm addicted too.
Terri, I understand what you mean, but I consider my self a serious reader because of my love to read whatever I can get my hands on. I won't say I'm well read because I do tend to stick to mysteries and horror novels. I do read some classics and general fiction, but not enough to be well read. Hope you have a great Sunday too.
10:57AM Wow I slept a long time! Did not get up till 9:30 UGH! I hate when I do that. I don't do it often but dang if I do my back is screaming! LOL So now I plan on getting some serious reading done. Later this afternoon we are going to go get the grand blessing so he can stay with us tonight. Tonight is rest day from Insanity YAY!

Yeah, I think I'm with you on this, Cindy. I consider myself a serious reader but I think well-read means something different, but I'm not quite sure what (but it probably includes Shakespeare, lol). Check this quiz out from the Christian Science Monitor http://www.csmonitor.com/Books/2012/0...
It's 5:12 p.m. and the weather is supposed to get a bit nasty tonight (sleet, freezing rain, some snow). I usually go somewhere on Sunday nights but I might just stay home and read tonight. Hope everyone is having a fantastic day!

That's an awesome link! Thanks Chuck. Taking the quiz now but I dare say that I may not be as well read as a 10th grader.

Oh and it's 21:34 and I'm watching Miss Congeniality.

5:35 p.m. EST Almost done with all the e-mail that piled up while I was sleeping the day again. It's chilly and humid out; not actually raining, but enough moisture in the air that it feels like it might rain any minute. Sorta reminds me of winter in Portland, OR! Dog has been out, I have my editing manuscript for tomorrow, and soon I'll be back to reading the most excellent Mind Games by Nancy Griffis.
Ha! I was sitting here thinking you must have had a really rough day for you to go to bed this early. THEN, I looked and noticed what time it is for you. Joke was on me. Have a great night!
6:45PM And we just got home from dinner and picking up our grandbaby. So now gonna check out GR and then read some more. Gonna finish this book tomorrow, today would be preferable though lol.
I have to say that as far as reading goes. I don't read for a title I read because I enjoy it and whatever books come my way I read them. I won't force myself to read something that does not interest me so I can be called "well read". I think what is the point, because I know when I read a book I am not enjoying I don't retain the info anyway. LOL

Yuck! Stomach feeling all messed up :)

Aw hope you feel better soon Cindy.

Thanks Michelle! Hit me all of a sudden. I'm sure it will be better in the morning.

8:34PM Wow I may finish this book tonight anyway! WOOT! I have a hundred pages to go. Aeverie is content with Lady and the Tramp and it will give me more time to read. YAY!
Cindy hope you get to feeling better.

8:46AM Well I finished Matched last night. Never expected that but was a very fluid read, and was also pretty darn good. Started the next book of the trilogy, Crossed. Am enjoying it. Now just kinda checking out GR, have grand baby settled in with breakfast and morning cartoons.

Sometimes having a Jeep is a blessing and a curse, any other car and I wouldn't have been able to get out of my parking space and I would have had to stay home. Bummer. Oh well, I'll be around checking throughout the day.
It's 10:26 a.m. and my stomach feels a little better than yesterday. I have a lot to do before work so I have decided to switch back and forth between reading one chapter in a book and then doing a bit of housework until time for work. Hoping everyone is having a great day so far!

Audiobooks are great for that.
Yes Chuck, I am just old-fashioned in many ways and will need to train myself that this is an option. I have heard audiobooks are just as good as print. My library even lets you check out the players (whatever they are called). I will have to give it a try.
11:08AM Spent a little time with Aeverie and TV and he is still wanting me to watch more lol. Doing my laundry, watched an insanity infomercial! Wow I look forward to results like that after 60 days.

Now gonna try and read a bit more. See how much I can get through without interruptions.

Errr!! It's Monday and it's time to go to work. Hope I have some time to read at work tonight, but it's inventory time and lots of people working. Got a feeling it will be busy for me.

I think so, if not better. Plus, I've all ways liked being read to. Check this out: http://www.forbes.com/sites/olgakhaza...

3:55 p.m. EST almost through with my e-mail, then some editing, then probably a short nap, then finish my editing... We'll see what happens!
3:08PM Just got the grandbaby down for a nap. A little peace and quiet for me.
Yea, no way I could audio books sorry guys, I would not retain the information as well. I could be biased though too because there is nothing like a book for me.

Yeah, not really important in the overall scheme of things, I know. I still have to figure out how to pay March rent and all our bills but that gift certificate is burning a hole in my Amazon account, y'know? LOL
Okay, lemme finish clearing out the e-mail and maybe I'll sleep on it. I'm so *tired* today...

At first I was terrible at absorbing info when listening to an audio book. I had to train myself how to listen again. Now I listen to books while at work so I can always be reading.
There are times if the book isn't interesting I space and totally miss parts. It happens, but I enjoy them. Audiobooks are not for everyone.

I would go with the iPod because they are very well made and will last a very long time. They are also very user friendly. It also sounds like the better deal because you are getting more storage for less and that is really what you are paying for.
The sound quality on at least the older iPods is great, and now that Apple has the Ear pods headsets, the sound is incredible. I have not used one of the newer iPods but my iPod Classic has lasted for 8 years with no issues. I have been impressed with Apple so I am loyal to their product, but that is just my opinion.

iPods will let you use .mp3, .wav and various other types of files, though, right, not just their own type? I have a fairly nice set of EarCandy ear buds that I received through My Coke Rewards, so hopefully they will work for it... meh. Anyway, thanks for the input, that actually does help, despite my dithering... LOL
5:27 p.m. EST SLEEEPY. A bit more e-mail to clear and then I'm taking a nap.

Thanks for the congrats on my baby girl :-)!
I see some of you are reading YA lit--yes! It's one of my favorite genres.

As long as you can import the file to iTunes it will work on the iPod. It isn't hard to import them and it usually does most files like MP3 and wav. The battery can be replaced, I haven't done it yet but I fix Apple stuff as a hobby and I was looking to fix my wife's iPod classic battery and it was only 15$ for a new battery if you do it yourself. Still, not an easy repair and I haven't done that one yet.
Glad some of my info could be helpful, have fun shopping for a new MP3 player. That is always fun in my book..
Tee27 congrats on the new baby. Is this your first.
6:54PM and I'm trying to get my son to clean up his toys so he can go to bed. He is really good at procrastination. :-)

8:35PM Just finished my workout. It is recovery week, then next week we jump in to Max cardio circuit, I am scared. LOL Grandbaby staying tonight will go home tomorrow, but he is happy cause Paw Paw got him Land Before Time 2 & 3. I don't think he has moved since he started watching lol.

Janie, you're WAY more ambitious than I am! LOL Then again, I have exercise-induced asthma, so even walking briskly will set me off sometimes... Heh.
10:35PM Hopefully baby is close to sleep. He is still watching movies. He had a early nap so he should be ready for sleep soon. Have not read much more tonight but got about a hundred pages read today. Will read more here in a few minutes.

Thanks Chuck! That was pretty interesting. Guess I'll check it out my next trip to the library and see what they have available via audiobooks.
