What time is it and what are you doing?
Well, found out a few hours ago that I will actually be able to read for a couple of hours tonight. Just got home from work and THOUGHT that I had to get up at 7:00 a.m., but I have since discovered that I can sleep until about 10:00 a.m. if I want. Gonna read a chapter from An Abundance of Katherines, then a chapter from The Lightning Thief, and finish with a chapter from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Will read more from What Dreams May Come tomorrow. That one is a bit on the weird side for me so far.
Cindy that is a lot of books to read at once. I just can't do it. I can only do it if one ofthem is a book of shorts, then I can read another book at the same time. Otherwise I have to stick to one book at a time.
Dan Yw! ☺

I usually read three at one time because I cannot stay focused on one book. I really do think I'll cut back to three again. Working full-time and doing volunteer work on my days off is making it rough to keep up with all of them. Heck, I might even cut back to two.
I have to applaud anyone that can read more than one at a time. My brain does not work that way. LOL
Dan, your graphic really spelled it all out! Good luck with PT. Michelle, I love lentil soup! It's so healthy. Katy and Jordan, feel better! Chris, how old is your son?
2:37am and quit even trying to sleep. Root canal in 5 hours. Can't wait. GR has been especially absorbing for me tonight. Plan for lots of reading today. Ready to start some new things, haven't decided exactly what. A plethora to choose from. Such dilemmas...Speaking of soup, it's probably all I'll be eating today. LOL Have a great day everyone!

3:33 a.m. EST Took another short nap and feel much better now, actually hungry! Once I've cleared out e-mail I'll be turning the computer off until after my doctor appointment and just reading. Usually have plenty of time at the doctor's office, especially waiting on the pharmacy!
Not even sleepy in the least :(. Have to work tomorrow and some business to take care of downtown first. Hope I can go to bed within the next hour. Just reading in the meantime.
3:56 a.m. EST Drat, now I Have to stay on-line a few more minutes so I can check for Kindle freebies today! Then I'll be logging off, turning off the laptop and focusing on reading until I'm back from the doctor's office, at which point I'll check it again. I anticipate it will be sometime around 9:30 or 10 a.m. Can I survive that long away from the Internet? O.O
8:19am bummed that I've got to stay home from placement but don't want any of the piplings to catch this so gonna do some reading :)
What region do you live in where it is 8:19 a.m.? Not asking for specifics, just general area. It's only 4:29 a.m. here in the Eastern part of the United States.
Awesome! Hope you feel better soon!

Unless someone recommends something to me I just sort by price, lowest to highest, but (no offense to any authors out there) it tends to bring up a whole bunch of books that don't look like they'd be very good :/
7:56 AM. The Moody Blues concert was amazing, and so was my anniversary. Too bad I have to go to work, and Mark is off today. :( Really starting to dislike my job, and am going to start looking for another job immediately. Glad it is Thursday, and one step closer to the weekend. Have a great day everyone!
So glad you had a great Anniversary Kathryn. I hope you can at least have a good day at work today. Teri, my son is 3 and the absolute joy of my life. My wife and I are expecting a little girl in May. We couldn't be more excited.
It's 9:34AM and I'm at work myself trying to look busy. Hope to get some reading in, I really need to try to finish my audio book so I can move on. I am not enjoying this one very much.
11:21AM Not sure how much reading time I will have today. Planning on a family day out. Maybe even a book store visit! ;) We shall see. Everyone have a great day today!
Kathryn glad your anni was amazing! You deserve it!

Chris, congratulations on your daughter coming! And 3 years old is a great age for kids! I love when they can start communicating with you. I always enjoyed the shear physicality of having young children. All the hugs and caresses and tickle fights and the wonder of bath time. (And of course I was a nursing mother, and there's just nothing to compare to that!)
Kathryn, awesome Moody Blues!! I'm so jealous. Glad your anniversary was great. Sorry that the new job isn't turning out so great.
Had a painless root canal this morning, but now the anesthesia has worn off and the pain meds aren't quite doing the job. Oh well. Soup for dinner!

I'm so glad to hear your root canal went well. I hope the pain doesn't get to horrible and that it is manageable. Soup does sound good however, so I might have to make some this weekend. My son is a great kid and such a Daddy's boy, still he is not a snuggler so My wife and I don't get all the hugs we wish we could. It is those moments when he just sits next to me and watches a movie with popcorn that I look forward to.
Michelle, what I meant by that is checking my Kindle e-book wishlist that I've saved (several thousand books) to see if any have gone free that day. Any I've run across that look interesting, I add in, and if they're part of a series, I add the whole series. I've picked up entire series that way, just by checking my wishlist every day. There are also several freebie e-mail lists that I receive: BookBub, Pixel of Ink, E-Reader News Today and David Wisehart's daily e-mail that list free and discounted Kindle books. Hopefully that'll help!1:20 p.m. EST Finished the book and ready to start the next. These are long books, and they're dark, so sometimes they're really hard to read, but they're very well done. Erasmus is all curled up on my lap, so I'm all hunched over typing over top of him...
1:51 p.m. EST Oh, dear, Tiger fell off the cupboards again. I need to go check on him, and then I"m reading more. Almost time to send hubby off to work, too...
4:49PM Just got home from a day out! Woot more books for me! Will post them in the proper thread. Gonna finish Jack and Jill today!
It is 7:16pm and I just finished a little short story by Adam Light. Now the debate begins on what to read next.
Kathryn, congratulations on your anniversary, so glad you had a nice day. Sorry to hear that you aren't liking your job - hopefully something more enjoyable will come up quickly for you.Chris, that is so exciting that you are expecting a little girl! I don't have any children, but I do love spending time with my 4 year old nephew and 2 year old niece. My little brother and his fiance are also expecting their first child (a little boy they're naming Charlie) at the end of April. I can't wait to meet him!
Katy, thanks for your great advice regarding free e-books!
Terri, glad your root canal went well and I hope you aren't in too much pain.
10.04am - at work and feeling very happy that it's Friday :D
7:07PM Just had some chow mein for dinner. Will be doing my workout soon!
Chris gratz to you and your wife on your may baby! How exciting. You know May is a great month for a birthday, mine is may 2.
Terri so glad your root canal went well. Hope it heals up quickly for you!

8:27 PM. Congratulations, Chris!! How exciting! May is coming up very quickly! :)Terri-Hope you are feeling better!! I have never had a root canal, but I have heard they can be very painful.
Janie-Thank you!!! Miss you!!
Michelle-Thank you!! As far as my job goes, my job can be VERY frustrating sometimes, okay, most of the time, and I just feel as though I might be happier somewhere else.
Holly-Thank you!
Right now I'm cooking dinner and reading, then going to watch Project Runway, and be happy tomorrow is Friday!
What's for dinner Kathryn? 8:30PM and we just ate dinner, sitting down to watch some tv and unwind. Planning to start a new book tonight just not sure which one yet.
8:32 PM. Making chicken sausage, macaroni and cheese, and steamed cabbage. Pretty good for not having gone to the grocery store this past weekend. HAHA! What did you have, Chris?
Can I just say what a great bunch of people you all are. I was just saying to my husband the other night how lucky I was to find you all. I have joined some other Aussie groups etc but I ended up leaving them because they just didn't compare to this group and the Bookworms Unite group :D
Kathryn-You're welcome!Chris-Sounds like a very relaxing evening!
Michelle-I'm very happy that you feel that way. You're awesome! And as the moderator of Bookworms Unite I have to say that I'm honored that you feel that way about the group. :-)
Kathryn wrote: "8:32 PM. Making chicken sausage, macaroni and cheese, and steamed cabbage. Pretty good for not having gone to the grocery store this past weekend. HAHA! What did you have, Chris?"We went simple and cheap, I got can chili and I made chili dogs and my wife just had a bowl of chili. End of the paycheck and meals get cheap. At least I get paid tomorrow.
Your dinner sounds awesome, although I am not a fan of cabbage. Hope it turns out really yummy.
Michelle, it is great to have you apart of the group. I am so thankful Janie and Kathryn started this group. I have found some great people here and made friends when I am not very good at it.
I know exactly what you mean, Michelle!!! I miss you guys when I'm not on GR. Seriously, the other day, I was sitting at work actually THINKING I wished I was at home on GR talking to you all rather than working. You guys probably have an idea how sad I've been since I started my job and haven't been on GR. I really, really have missed you guys. I feel like you all are my real-live friends....Sounds silly, but you all know what I mean. :)
I feel the same way Kathryn. You guys are awesome! I know that I always have someone to talk to when I come on here. I'm sorry that you've been sad. I have missed you though.
Holly wrote: "I feel the same way Kathryn. You guys are awesome! I know that I always have someone to talk to when I come on here. I'm sorry that you've been sad. I have missed you though."I've missed you, too!!! I'm just sad because I've missed you guys and miss GR, and of course, miss reading. :)
Ok since y'all started this I have to put in my 2 cents. I have been on GR for 2 years going on 3 and for the first year I really did not do much here, and then just last year I really started finding people and talking and making friends and I gotta say, y'all are like best friends, and the more I get to talking to y'all it makes me feel like we could all just meet up at the loacal coffee shop and chat all day. It does a person good to know that there is an environment like this to come to and share our lives. I feel so richly blessed to have met y'all on here. I seriously love all of you!
I know what you mean. I feel that way when I haven't been on GR for a day! LolI hope that something works out where you're able to read and be on here more. :-)
BTW, did you ever get around to reading 1Q84?
Well, I agree with all of you. It is no secret that I hate my job and am completely miserable when I am there. Having all of you here on GR to talk to helps get me thorough my day. I am fortunate enough to be able to be on here while at work, but honestly, an iPhone does the job just fine and they can't take my phone away from me. I have made some incredible friends here and it does suck that we all live so far apart, but at the same time, at least I have friends I can talk to.
