Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 2:26 a.m. EST Had a lovely nap and don't feel so icky anymore. I had an anxiety attack in the evening, just out of NOWHERE. So annoying. I found a short story by the same author whose book I just read (Krista Ball), so I'm going to read that after I finish my e-mail, take another nap, and then I'll be editing today. The sequel to The Dreamer Genome by Steve Grant; should be great!

4:47PM So glad GR is back up, was down all day till now! It makes me happy. Anyone else had a problem?

message 2309: by Katy (new)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 6:02 p.m. EST Yup, Janie, it only came up for me a bit over an hour ago. Richard Derus was the earliest attempt I knew of, and he started trying to come on at 9 a.m.; talked to a lot of people throughout the day about it. A friend in Minneapolis was able to connect to it while most of us were still locked out, and another in India connected about 45 minutes before I was able to; another in Ohio, I think, was able to connect before I could, and a person in the Netherlands was commenting she could connect, but most of us couldn't make it through until about 5 p.m. EST. No real explanation other than a mention of "technical problems" on Twitter. Meanwhile, I'm editing today, so fun!

8:18PM I am very glad the GR is working for everyone again. I was seriously having withdrawls lol. But it does not happen often at all so I guess it is allowed this time. Did my fit test and yeah baby I improved on all exercises! I am proud of myself! Grandbaby left earlier this afternoon around 4:00. Miss him already, but I am gonna get some good read time in and maybe finish this book this evening if not it will be tomorrow morning. Wow I am just going on and on. I guess because of my withdrawls.....have a nice evening everyone and I am here free to chat with all lol ok going now.

Have Edgar Allan Poe's The Purloined Letter for my "when I have a few minutes" read going on. Once I'm done with my editing, I'll be finishing Jolea M. Harrison's series; I read the first 5 books, and have three to go. Next week it's Karyn Henley's Angelaeon series, and the week after that it's the Godling Chronicles. Crazy!

When you say goodreads was down do you mean you were getting the "over capacity" message or was the server timing out?

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 11:24 p.m. EST about 1/3 of the way through this manuscript I'm editing; things are becoming exciting! This will be an awesome book :-) Talking to the folks scheduled out over the next few weeks to confirm my schedule; things are pretty busy for the next couple of months, which is good. Erasmus has been helping me; he helped me by sitting on my lap for awhile, but now he's laying beside me. Tiger came down from the top of the cupboards looking for food, which make His Royal Fluffiness the Fluff decide he wanted food, but he can't eat out of the dish like the other boys, oh, no, I have to put the food on top of the bin in which Dmitry keeps his work clothes, and Fluff eats there. Spoiled little shit... LOL

message 2327: by [deleted user] (new)

It is 12:05 a.m. here and I just got home from work. So frustrating for me today because I work second shift and couldn't get on GR at all before work. Started reading another book today Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Harry Potter, #4) by J.K. Rowling and just put some food in the oven. Now, I get to update my reads :)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Ooh, Kathryn, love the Moody Blues! That will be fun! Chris, sorry you woke early. Terry, hope the root canal goes well the you can manage in the meantime.

1:23 p.m. EST Managed to reluctantly drag myself out of bed about 1/2 hour ago. SO TIRED... Ugh. Hate when this happens. Hopefully this liter of Coke will wake me up! LOL Lots of e-mail to go through... it does pile up when I'm away for 12 hours. Once that's cleared out, it's back to editing. It looks lovely and sunny out, but I need to do this editing before I can sun, so I better move it. Maybe tomorrow I'll be able to take some sun...

Janie and Tee27-Thank you!!! :)

Lucy-How is Anna Karenina?

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments Dan-I am really surprised they aren't making you have surgery....But, hopefully PT works. :)

message 2347: by Dan (new)

Dan (dan2345) | 304 comments Kathryn, they said they didn't want me to have the surgery because they want me to have physical therapy first. However, I do think that this is something I may have to live with for the rest of my life. :/

message 2348: by Katy (new)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Dan, hoping the PT helps. Happy anniversary, Kathryn; my husband and I celebrated 11 years just a bit over a month ago.

8:35 p.m. EST Okay, finished with the edit. Will probably have to do another read-through of last week's manuscript, but still waiting on one of the beta readers and suggested changes, so now ready to read the last three books in the Guardians of the Word series by Jolea M. Harrison. It'll take me awhile to set up the first review, because I'll have to note down all the series info and URLs for the reviews, but once I have that done the first time, I can just copy and paste and add the latest as I go forward. It's all so complicated! LOL I remember when I used to just write a quick review on Amazon, before I had to add disclosures and disclaimers and all that nonsense... Ah, well, it's a lot of fun to find all these new authors through my reviewing!

You may have to Dan. I used to work for a doctor who specialized in sports medicine. He always recommended PT before ANY surgery, unless there was too much damage. Once surgery stops you can never go back; so he always tried other stuff first. It will be hard, but probably worth it in the end. I think you will get more out of it because of your workout regimen anyway.

message 2350: by Katy (new)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Yes, Alondra is right. It's always preferred to do PT first to see if that helps.

9:13 p.m. EST My review template for the rest of the series is set up, and I'm ready to start reading! wOOt! Bye!
