Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 4:37 a.m. EST Just finished Small Favor and then read the short stories "Curses" and "AAAA Wizardry" before I start Turn Coat, which I'll start in earnest once I've cleared out the e-mail. Hope everyone has a good day!

Jessie Radford (ladysdeath) 8:18 am checking into GR, getting some reading done in my lastest book. Enjoying my birthday so far. Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes. Hehe yeah any year that I get atleast one book I consider it a good birthday.

Chris (cbrunner11) | 674 comments Happy birthday Jessie. I hope you have a wonderful day. Enjoy your new books and I hope you have something planned. Jordan, good luck with the teeth, I hope it doesn't cause you to much pain.

8:32 AM and just made breakfast for my son. Sadly I didn't sleep well and I'm a bit cranky. Just sitting on the couch checking into GR while my son sits next to me and plays on his little leap pad. Learning about letters right now, we are raising a little reader, he already loves books.

9:57AM Getting ready to dive into 11/22/63 for a day of reading (fingers crossed) Did not even make coffee this morning. LOL Been a bit busy online already. So now I am here checking in on everyone and posts.

Terry I hope you liked Bentley Little. I saw you did a review on that book. I like Laymon a little bit more than little so hopefully you will enjoy him as well. Always glad ot help when I can.

Chris that is awesome that your son is enjoying books! It is so important I think that they like to read. It can give so much to a child. And it helps imagination as well.

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Jordan, sorry the painkillers knock you out. If they did me, I'd never do anything. My muscle relaxers do knock me out, though, even after almost 3 years. It's annoying.

Chris, it's great to teach them young. When I still had the money to send presents, I always sent books to my niece and nephews. They're all readers.

11:39 a.m. EST Just woke up about 1/2 ago or so, fed the cats, cuddled His Royal Majestic Fluffiness the Fluff, petted everyone else, provided some treats, etc. Clearing out e-mail before I go back to reading. This weather is freakin' killing me, back and forth between warm and cold like this. I hurt all over... *sigh*

Dan (dan2345) | 304 comments 7:19 PM. Finally got my computer fixed. I was going to go to mixed martial arts class tonight, but I'm so sore and tired from last night that I decided to go tommorow night instead. LOL...I feel like an old man. That should give me some time tonight to read 11/22/63.

Happy Birthday, Jess.

message 1966: by Katy (new)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 9:28 p.m. EST Ah, things were going so well. Erasmus was curled up by me, sleeping on a pillow and fleece blanket. Tiger was in the closet. Fluff wanted attention, so I had brought him up and cuddled him under the blankets with me, everyone was comfortable, we were all warm and falling asleep... and then Erasmus became jealous. First he deliberately stepped on Fluff a few times, and then he flounced off, upsetting Fluff, who then flounced off himself, and then the two of them proceeded to be annoying and wake me up completely. *sigh*

Jealous little beasties...

So, just clearing out e-mail and then back to reading!

I like your cats' names, especially Erasmus :-)!

Shell (shellcampbell) | 757 comments 1.14pm having a quick lunch break - first one in about 2 weeks!! Looking forward to home time. Not much planned for tonight, I put a chicken curry in the slowcooker this morning so will only need to make some rice when I get home. We've had such hot weather recently but it's overcast and rainy today and a bit cooler - perfect weather for curry, couch, blanket and book!

message 1970: by Katy (new)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Hey, Tee27; my husband named Erasmus. He said cats should have names that sound like a hiss. I meant Tiger and Fluff's names to be only baby names, and figured we'd change them when they grew up a bit, but Tiger's name just fit so perfectly that we kept it. I offered to let Dmitry come up with a new name for Fluff, since Fluff adores him, but he didn't want to, so the names stuck. :-)

Yeah, Michelle, they make me crazy sometimes (like when I'm trying to sleep), but Love the little beasties! Our weather has also been overcast and cool. The sun is coming out tomorrow, with a high of 61, but then, while it will remain sunny, it's going to become cooler and cooler every day until by Sunday the high will only be 46. GAH!! I need WARMTH dammit! I didn't move from Minnesota to Georgia to freeze my buns!

10:05 p.m. EST Erasmus is now again happily curled up on the pillow and fleece blanket next to me, and Tiger in the closet. Not sure where His Royal Fluffiness the Fluff is. Probably sitting in the living-room window watching for Dmitry to come home. He does that. I just finished clearing out my e-mail, so now I'm back to reading! Talk to y'all later!

It's 8:29am EST and I just took some foccacia out of the oven. (The house smells glorious!) Got up at 4:30 which is why I've had time to bake bread already. Actually slept a good 5 hours last night so I'm feeling pretty good. Started a buddy read yesterday (Fight Club) and I'm barely into it but it's intriguing. Also reading some other stuff so I have plenty to keep me busy today. Got our problem with identity theft cleared up yesterday (YAY). It actually wasn't too bad. Another day of rain, changing to snow this afternoon. Unfortunately this means our yard is muddy and the puppy DOES NOT like to be cleaned up when he comes in. Another reason it's a great day--I got my disability check auto-deposit, we got the identity theft cleared up in the nick of time!

Happy Hump Day everyone!

10:06AM Getting ready to plow through maybe another 200 pages today. The book is fantastic. Not gonna do anything today, gonna be lazy for the most part. Gonna fix some lunch soon though. Hub will be home in a few hours. Today starts his weekend. He is off now on Thursday and Friday. I hate it cause now he works the weekends, but he gets to see Kay more since this new schedule put him on days.

Yay Terri, glad it is all fixed up now!

Chris (cbrunner11) | 674 comments 10:13 AM and I'm back at work for a mid shift. Checking in on GR, couldn't believe all the notifications I had on my phone this morning, must have been a busy night.

Terri, I'm so glad you got all that stuff figured out. I was worried it would take so much longer. Sounds like your day is looking up. Fresh baked bread alone sounds delicious.

That is one thing I will never miss moving to Texas...SNOW!

message 1981: by Chris (new)

Chris (cbrunner11) | 674 comments I love the snow and I think it is so pretty to look at.I just hate it when it starts to melt and the grass shows through, then all the plowed snow by the roads turns black from all the dirt. Then the snow isn't so pretty.

I don't even mind driving in it if it is a short distance. I would just rather sit at home with a fire and watch it through the windows. I could never live somewhere that doesn't get snow.

message 1982: by Katy (new)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Terri, great day. So glad to hear it! Holly, I'm with Janie. one of the things I love about Georgia? Very little snow. I've lived here for 11 years and we've had snow 3 times.

12:45 p.m. EST Just clearing out e-mail after a nap. Hubby has to go to work early today. I was hoping for more sun, hoping it would be warm and sunny enough for me to go sit outside, but it's just cloudy enough, and only 51 right now. *sigh* It looks like it'll be cold for another week, even with the sun. I would really like some warmth, please... :-)
