I'm a Corona man myself. I say crack open one of those "wierd English Lagers" and relax. Who cares if it gives you bitter face as long as you get some alcohol flowing through your blood. LMAO!!

10:43PM Have grandbaby tonight but thankfully he is asleep! Now I can take some time this evening to hit up GR and do some heavy reading. (I hope!)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 2:59 a.m. EST My husband discovered that his Panzer tank game site now has music playing and has spent the last two hours listening to first German Techno/Metal, then disco, then German traditional music... Pretty amusing, really. I've just been reading and listening along and talking to the cats.

Dan, the problem is I'm a bit of a beer snob; I don't like to drink it just to drink it. I want it to taste good, too! :-) Since I can't drink much because of my medications, I have to make what I do drink count. Hubby figured, "If it's English it must be okay," but that's not quite right. Plus I'm not a huge fan of lager generally; I like ales and weissbiers and that sort of thing. *shrug* I think it's Tetley, but I can't remember off the top of my head. Anyway, I told him next time to get me weissbier, maybe Widmer if he can find it. Widmer heffeweissen is awesome, with a slice of lemon in a frosty glass... mmmmm.

It's 9:11am EST and I'm spending a leisurely Saturday morning with hub and puppy. A little snow on the ground from yesterday, it's fun to watch the puppy frolic in the snow. Spending time on GR, planning a library trip later today. Finished a great book last night and now I need to replenish the pile. Jordan, hope you're doing better today. Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! (Kathryn, can't wait for your update!)

Veronica (veraj121) | 328 comments 10:07 am Trying to finish up A Fall of Giants before running errands, lunch with one of my besties w/ my girls, cook, and visit my mom. I guess you see why it takes long to finish a book. Besides reading, I love socializing.

message 1312: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 8:09 PM. It's been a lazy, drizzly, gloomy day. Mark had to work today and didn't get home until 4:30, so I did some cleaning around the house. Been in a reading funk....Nothing is really grabbing me for some reason. Maybe it is all of the adjustment from this week. I was pretty worn out last night and slept this morning until about 11. haha, oops.

message 1313: by Tee27 (new)

Tee27 | 96 comments It's 9:25 PM, and the TV is playing in the background. I don't know why, but I'm in a reading funk, too, like you, Kathryn :-(.

message 1314: by Alondra (new)

Alondra Miller 9:29pm ET. Time to finish up Murder on the Links and figure out what to read with Thirst. mmmmm; I think Flesh and Bone is next... i will have to think about it.

message 1315: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 8:41 PM. I thought a King would fix it, but I tried two, and they couldn't hold my interest, and I tried to read Gone Girl, but the way it was written was kind of off putting. Maybe I should just read something completely different. Sometimes if I read a chick-lit or something like it, it takes me out of my funk. Maybe I am just tired.

message 1316: by Katy (new)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Kathryn, a couple years ago I read some books about Kate Connor, Demon-Hunting Soccer Mom or something like that... If you can find them, they're really fun.

10:36 p.m. EST I slept ALL DAY LONG, I guess to make up for being up all afternoon and night yesterday. Finally drug out of bed a bit before 10 tonight... Clearing out all the e-mail and then finishing Ameca J and the Demon God of Mythrania.

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 5:38 p.m. EST Been reading Troll Or Derby by Red Tash and loving it! We had planned to go to the pub today, but had trouble waking hubby up and by the time he managed to wake up, the time was wrong. You have to arrive by 3 or so, which is right before evening rush, or it's too busy to a) find parking and then b) find a seat. Plus he just wasn't feeling well, so he went back to sleep. Too bad, I really wanted a weissbier... *sigh* Anyway, just going through some e-mail and then will either nap or finish my book. Probably both. I have editing to do starting again tomorrow, for an actual publisher! O.O

It's 1:07am and sleep is elusive tonight. Watching a Bond film on BBC America, the puppy dozing beside me. Plan to read for awhile, thinking about making a pot of coffee to see me through the night. Dan, I hope things have improved for you. It's a quiet and peaceful night.

message 1342: by Katy (new)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Sorry to hear that Dan. Hang in there, let me know if I can help.

Sounds like most others have a busy day. I mostly slept and read... :-)

2 a.m. EST finished reading Troll or Derby and posting the review, clearing out e-mail. Have a couple of upcoming blog posts (cover reveals, release announcements) to set up, and then a nap and then editing later today.

Jordan (jords) | 277 comments 4:29pm Just got home from placement:D The teacher I work with told the children I would read them a story (without telling me beforehand) safe to say i nearly pooped my pants lol, it all ended well though. Turns out they picked my favourite childhood book:)

Now going to have a nice soak in a hot bath, watch a DVD then do some more reading :)

message 1344: by Katy (new)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 1:12 p.m. EST Despite my resolve to hold out for the trilogy to be completed, my husband convinced me to watch the first Hobbit movie this morning. I'll admit that when Bilbo said, "In a hole in the hill lived a hobbit," I teared up and grinned like a maniac at the same time... *sigh* Now I want to read it, but I can't just yet.

Just clearing out e-mail and then it's off to edit. Another new client, which means I'm not familiar with the style, which means it'll take me a few days to hit my groove...
