Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 6:06 p.m. EST; just finished selecting my Vine books, and listening to some wonderful piano music here by Koji Attwood, the son of author Randy Attwood, of whom I'm a huge fan! I am on a tear with this manuscript and will probably finish it tonight, thank Goddess! I owe Libby Heily a review of her book Tough Girl and had hoped to have it up tomorrow to go with her guest post on my blog, but alas! It will be late. Anyway, need to finish the e-mail and then finish this ms!

Besides the Blues have to come back after loosing to the Blackhawks on Tuesday. :-p

I will get back to reading after the game honest.

I'm glad hockey is back too, although I did get a lot of reading done during the lock out.

7:20pm My team, the Canucks, are not playing tonight so I will do some reading after I get the kids settled.

kisha 11:24pm, I'm at work with nearly nothing to do. Browsing GR thinking if I'd do less GR browsing I'd probably get more reading done. So If I don't reach my 2012 reading goal I blame GR!

Yeah.... 11/22/63 by Stephen King 30 Days of Night Omnibus, Volume 2 by Various The Walking Dead, Book One by Robert Kirkman Desktop Gargoyle Eyes Light Up! by Danielle Selber
...I don't know if you want to count that last one. It's just a silly little book on gargoyle lore...small enough to fit into the fifth pocket of my jeans and is only like 45 pages. I like it cause it came with a little Gargoyle statue that's eyes actually light up red!! LMAO

message 1276: by Katy (new)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Janie, the hubby says the place had the machine dismantled to clean it. At 10 p.m.??? What were they thinking? All us night owls with caffeine deprivation! When I worked graveyard at a convenience store, we broke down and cleaned the machines between 3 and 4 a.m. Also, I used to play trumpet, back in the day. I sucked at it... which was bad, because with trumpets you need to blow!

Dan, I used to be able to read that many at once, but no longer... I can't keep all the plot strings separated the way I used to be able to...

2:33 a.m. EST just woke up from a nap feeling much better and ready to read for awhile. it's growing very cold outside - I can feel it through the window. Today is supposed to be really cold, but tomorrow back up into the 50s. This weather is crazy. Also, my friends on FB went crazy - I sleep for 3 hours and they blow up my inbox! Off to clear it!

message 1277: by [deleted user] (new)

It's 2:53am and I'm awake again tonight. Decided to be productive so I'm making chicken stock. Bones/veg/herbs are simmering. I'll use 1/3 for vegetable soup this weekend, 1/3 for chicken & dumplings, and freeze 1/3. (I really have a lot of bones stored up.) I love the quiet in the middle of the night. Scented candle lit and spending time on GR. Very relaxing and good for my mental health. Waiting for meds to kick in. I love the night tonight.

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 3:09 a.m. EST just finished clearing out my e-mail. A thread on FB went crazy, so that was what filled up my inbox! Heh. now I'll go back to reading. Maybe I'll go whine at my husband until he goes to buy me a gas-station cappuccino... X-D yeah, I love the stuff, and the place up the road has chocolate-covered strawberry flavor, which is nummy... Meanwhile, I'm hungry, so I guess I'll have a snack. Byeee!

I've been out for three days because I had bronchitus with a touch of the flu. I'm feeling better now but not looking foward to going back to work. Debating whether not I should try and go back to sleep or read one of those many books you guys are shocked that I read..LOL.

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 4:33 a.m. EST; just checking for my daily Kindle freebies. Had a beer, so now I'm sleepy. Probably take a nap.

Jordan, sorry to hear about that. Hopefully nothing is broken, but sprains are (in my opinion) actually initially more painful than a break. They heal a bit faster, though.

Dan, sorry to hear you've been sick. I do hope that you have the weekend off, so you can go in for today, play some catch up, and then have two more days to take it easy to completely rid yourself of the effects of your illness...

message 1282: by Jordan (new)

Jordan (jords) | 277 comments Katy, I don't think anything is broken as i can walk on it, it's just very painful and tender to the touch. I agree that sprains are more painful especially as there's nothing you can do about it.

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 4:05 p.m. EST Wow, I really crashed out this morning. Didn't wake up until quarter after 3 O.o I hopped on-line and was immediately caught by I, Curmudgeon's latest writing, which was really interesting, like usual, and am only just now starting on my e-mail, almost an hour later! Heh. It's cold here in Georgia today - currently 34 F - but tomorrow it's supposed to be back into the 50s, so at least it's not a long-term thing.

Dan, glad to hear you'll have a fun weekend! Jordan, keep it elevated and iced. You'll have to just sit still and read, ah darn... :-)
