10:29 p.m. and I have been forced to take pain pills tonight. I was so proud of the fact that I haven't taken any for four days. Went all day after leaving the doctor's office hurting and just couldn't take it any more. Doctor's nurse told me on the phone when I called that it shouldn't last but a day or two. I'll live. I just hate that I had to take something. Feel like a wimp or something. Goodnight folks. It's gonna make me drowsy real soon.

9:21AM Well here is the rain we so desperately need. I think it is sposed to do this most of the day, so it is great for reading. I had my breakfast but did not make coffee yet, I am not sure if I will make any at all. No plans for today but read. YAY!
8:28 am
Having breakfast with my parents. Just drank a cup of spice cider yum:)

10:24PM Have had a pretty busy evening. Went with Amy to Aeveries registration for Pre-K. He may or may not get in. We will find that out in August! Then took him to the playground. Then watched the draft after that. LOL So now I am kicking back and gonna read some more!

6:38AM Another full day planned today so have to get my reading done this early morning! Going to Sam's for groceries and such and then after the girls get out of school, we are taking Shelby, my niece to the book store, and then we will get some dinner. Randy took today off. So should be a nice, fun day, not to mention some books thrown into the mix, what could be better! Good Morning GR!

1:59 p.m. EDT Had my scans this morning. We were in the parking garage 1 hour and 1 minute, so had to pay the $3 for over one hour rather than the $1 for an hour, which was so annoying. Especially since that minute was waiting for her to do a transaction with the person in front of us. Anyway, we went to IHOP afterward for breakfast, as I was REALLY hungry for the first time in days. I had a bacon and cheese omelet and sourdough toast, of which I ate pretty much exactly half. Half the omelet, half the toast (one slice - they gave me two). As the server brought the box, she said, "It's a lot of food for a little person, isn't it?" and I was like... little person? Me? And then I checked me out and yeah, I'm now pretty much a little person. Looking pretty frail. Oh, well. I still have a good 20 lb. cushion before I become dangerously thin, so I should be okay, right? I've been reading this anthology and the review is turning into a book itself. I don't even know if I'll be able to fit it all at some of the sites, and I'm not finished. In fact, I'm only at 65 percent, so lots still to read. It's just these stories are all inspiring me to ramble. And I'm generally rambling in e-mails and posts and all over the place lately. Desperately leaving proof that I was here? *shrug* Who knows. I'll find out about the scans on Tuesday. Here's hoping the tumors are shrinking.
1:05PM Just got back from Sam's and restocked the house. We needed to. Now I have to run over and make sure Cort is awake and then go get Son from work and the girls from school and then off to the book store! YAY! A nice full day for me again, but I love it!

15:03 EST I'm finding it pretty hard to keep up also. I'm now formally way behind. :-)
Reading short stories and novellas just makes it all the worse.

15:07 EST Lord, I was born a ramblin' woman!
Rambling is good. It takes you places you never expected to go in ways you never dreamed of!
Friday afternoon philosophy. :-)
So if we can pay by the minute on cell phones, why can't we pay by the minute for parking in this day and age? It's a scam , I tell you! :-)
I'll hope with you for the tumors to shrink.

Katy-hope the tumors are shrinking-that's bullshit about the parking!
have a good weekend everyone

9:05 p.m. and I haven't had a chance to read all day. Gonna try and catch up a little now.

Oh, miss ya, Squire.

Oh, and the kitties must be happy today. They are running around the house like it's the Kentucky Derby. I told them that race was a few weeks ago, so I guess they are training for next year. haha!
10:03AM Ok so I did not finish my book yesterday because well, we were busy yet again. I am gonna try and finish it today! Why does may feel so busy to me!? Going to grill out today, YUM I can taste the food already! What a beautiful morning we start out with today. Randy is mowing Amy's lawn and then will come back and mow ours after that. Not much else going on.

Sorry to hear about that Heather. Please take care of your health! On a happy note - you get to see your Mom.

Thsnks Cindy lol it is sad to say but I only want her back so I can see what she got me
Take care of yourself Heather. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers

Have a safe trip Corey and we will talk to you when you get back!

Thank you Cindy, talk to you when I get back.

Heather, sorry to hear that. Seizures make holding any sort of job tricky. One of my first ex-husband's friends had epilepsy and he had to hide it because he was a cook. But if he were to have a seizure while cooking, he could seriously harm himself, so normally he wouldn't have been hired for those jobs if he disclosed the condition.
1:44 a.m. EDT Wasn't able to sleep much today. Tried this morning, but no luck. Managed a bit of sleep before D went off to work, and a bit more this evening, but not quite enough. Still, I should be able to sleep plenty today. Our bank has this program where you can chose deals and if you use your debit card to pay for whatever services, you receive a certain amount of cash back. One of the offers was 10 percent cash-back from Red Lobster through 5/27, so we're planning to go on Monday for lunch, since Tuesday is chemo and I'll be miserable for at least a week and a half afterward... so it'll be good to have a nice meal first! Meanwhile I've been eating a lot of cereal because I want to munch but don't want to actually exert myself... :-)

Corey Wishing you safe travel. Prayers that the move goes smoothly and your Grandma likes her new place.
Katy I hope you enjoy your meal out. I will keep you in thoughts on Tuesday. You have my prayers.
To all the Moms, (and any Dads who are Mom as well as Dad), I wish you a very Happy Mother's Day! I hope your day is filled with love and laughter, (and also goes smoothly for those who need that - the value of that I learned while caring for my grandson who is autistic).
I had another lovely day of packing. I am just about done though. I will move the big items out on Monday night then give it a final cleaning before turning over keys. I took a bit of time out to place Zoey in her carrier and drag it around so she would be used to it before we hit the airport Tuesday. The only thing that bothers me is the flight is so long and she is suppose to be in the carrier the whole time. :-(
We went to the vet and he thinks she will be fine. She weighed in at 13 pounds and was pronounced healthy. Yay! I am tired but am hoping to read a bit before I crash.
On a funny note - today our post office was collecting food so I figured I would give them all the food I wouldn't be needing. my guy offered to pack it for me while I finished the upstairs. After we dropped the food off I stopped for a pack of soda. He picked up a pizza and I said to him we still had the food I put aside to make this weekend. He replied, after face freezing a second, that he wanted to treat me. So sweet, right? Haha. When we got home I went to put the Dr P in the refrigerator and noticed it was entirely empty! He forgot we still had a few days to go with meals at home and he packed off EVERYTHING. I turned around to look at him and his face was priceless. He told me that Zoey still had food and pulled out a Milky Way for me, (apparently he knew a pizza alone wasn't going to do it). I just cracked up! Chocolate to the rescue. Hilarious!

9:14AM First off let me say HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all of you who are Mothers. I had mine a bit early, yesterday. We grilled out had some wine, and spent the day together. I got some beautiful cards and a beautiful Emerald ring and matching necklace. I need a longer chain on the necklace though it is too close to my neck. I am actually just a ring person, but I will make the necklace work. Planning on some reading today. Randy is going to make me breakfast today. YUM!
Corey safe trip to get your grandma!
Heather keeping you in prayers over the seizures.
Kathryn enjoy your visit with your Grandpa.

2:03 p.m. and I am alone in the house other than the dog. Wonderful bliss.

Frankly, I find this so heart warming! Nothing silly about it at all. I hand written letter to a friend is an incredible gift as far as I am concerned.

It probably won't last. Enjoy! :-)
10:11PM The house is quiet, I did not get to read like I thought I would, instead I sat here most of the day with my niece Shelby and downloaded a ton of free kindle books. I showed her how to get the kindle app on her phone and she got some kindle books as well. Hubby in bed Son at work, Kay is reading and I am about to. Hope everyone had a great Mother's day! G'night GR!

Quick goodreads check before the school run :) Then off to a friends. (A friend who understands that I HAVE to read and says nothing if I sit and read all day at their house ;) )
8:33AM Good Morning GR. Had my breakfast, no coffee this morning though, did not feel much like making it. Now doing laundry and gonna clean house, after that I will do some reading.
