11:36 a.m. and I am getting ready to leave for the hospital. Won't be online till tomorrow. They put me under general anesthesia and I will be totally useless until tomorrow. I am taking books for the bus ride and wait at the hospital :D

4:22 PM. Gooood afternoon, GRrrrrrrrr! I finished up The Coffin Dancer, did the dishes, paid a bill, and found out why our Verizon account looked like they were billing us again after we had cancelled our service before we moved. We are getting a credit back, which was a nice surprise. I am kind of not feeling well, so after I did all of that and had lunch, I started another book: The Sense of an Ending by Julian Barnes. It's only 163 pages, so I should be done with it later tonight. I've got Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn to start later tonight or tomorrow, which is a buddy read with Susan and a few others. I'm looking forward to it, as I have had Gone Girl on my Kindle for a year or longer. I've got my Kindle charging, so I will be ready to go for the buddy read. Gizmo and I are laying on our couch out in our solarium, while I read and try to feel better.

6:17 p.m. EDT Up early to see my surgeon - turns out I have a hernia around my stoma, which he says is normal and nothing to worry about. Then had my infusion pump removed, so I'm done with chemo for the week. Went to Longhorn Steakhouse for lunch but everything was too spicy for my palate today. I think I'll go grab some cereal, finish my e-mail and take a nap. I'm tired.

Katy a few years ago my mom had a hernia, and she was in a lot of pain for quite some time, but she feels better now, I'm glad to hear that yours isn't serious, because the one my mom had was serious.

10:40 p.m watching some Criminal Minds on TV and catching up with GR. Otherwise not a whole lot else going on right now. Earlier we went to Tractor Supply and got a leaf rake and a set of hand gardening tools and a cute little pair of camo overalls for the kiddo. Then we came home and had a little fire outside and grilled burgers and babe's brother came over for a bit. Now just chilling though :)

10:15 PM. Good evening, GR! After a Mark got home, we messed around with our garden, thought of ideas for our home, then grilled some super yummy hamburgers on the grill. We had watermelon for dessert. My plants look like they are all doing well. Some of my seeds are starting to come up, and I'm looking forward to seeing them in full bloom. I'm in bed now, hoping to stay up and finish The Sense of an Ending, which I am enjoying. :)

Kit, we had grilled burgers, too! It has been a long time since we grilled, so they were super yummy! Grilled burgers are so much better at home! :)

11:38PM Amy just left. We had a good day out! Hub did buy me an early gift this evening which was Gone Girl, by Gillian Flynn, I have been waiting for this book to hit paper and after a year and a half it finally did, and he bought me a lovely bottle of Wine which I shall partake of tomorrow. And then book store for me tomorrow for my birthday! YAY! My family is so good to me.

I wanted to finish it last night, but it was probably better I got sleep as I ended up not being comfortable last night and not sleeping well. Thank goodness for coffee. Anyways, happy Friday!

9:20 p.m. Just got home from the hospital a couple hours ago. My "outpatient" surgery didn't go so well. Had chest pains and found myself admitted overnight. One more procedure to remove stint next week and results from my biopsy should be here in a couple of weeks. A little wore out and hungry. Might get a bite to eat and read for a short time.

8:20 AM Good morning Goodreads, I guess for a while yesterday Goodreads was shut down for some odd reason, at first I thought it was just my computer, so I did a computer scan and that didn't help so then I saw it was down for everyone, but I'm glad to see it's back online this morning, I just got up and I'm gonna go out with my dad for the day and we're gonna go bowling and then we'll probably go out to lunch.

Thanks, Corey and Rachel, for your thoughts and support. I'm also glad it wasn't serious. I know some can be really bad, but the doc said this is common and should be easily fixed when we do surgery again.

Happy birthday, Janie - sorry I'm glad (WTF??) late (my brain is broken I think), I wasn't able to log in most of the day yesterday and the few times I did manage I would manage maybe a single thing and then be booted.

Cindy, sorry to hear you ended up staying overnight, but better safe than sorry! I hope this will have helped some when you're done recuperating.

5/3/14 8:49 a.m. EDT Went to bed fairly early last night, so am awake early this morning. I considered going back to sleep but my back was aching from this humid chill we've been having at night, so I just sat up and decided to go through some e-mail and then maybe finish this silly little book I started yesterday. Just for fun, y'know. I hope everyone is set to have a wonderful weekend! It appears we're going to have sunny and warm for the next few days, so we'll see how that goes!

10:24 PM. Good evening, GR! What a busy, tiring day it has been. We got up and I weed-eated the back yard which looked like a jungle, while Mark trimmed the hedges in the front. Then, we took a load of crap to the dump, which cleared up the garage quite a bit. Then we went to Lowe's, Home Depot, and then had a late lunch at Sonic. Then, we went to ACE Hardware, where I got a beautiful yellow rose bush to plant tomorrow. Then, we came home, cleaned up the front yard, Mark planted a fruit tree in the front, and I watered and pulled weeds. We worked until it got dark, and we both needed showers. Now we are enjoying some pizza, I'm catching up on GR, and I'm really looking forward to starting Gone Girl. I think I deserve some ice cream and reading after today. Poor Gizmo missed me all day because she got to watch us through the front door, and we could see her just looking so pathetic, it was cute. That's my baby kitty who loves her momma. :)

9:33 AM. Good morning, GR! Well, unfortunately, I didn't even get a chance to read. Once my head hit the pillow last night, I was out! Enjoying my coffee while I check in on GR, and I'm going to try to read at least a little bit before I need to go out and plant my yellow rose bush we bought yesterday. It is starting to warm up here in Texas, so it's better to get out early and beat the heat. I think today is going to be another busy day, but it is good to get things done. I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!

16:54 EST I had a great productive day doing the spring cleaning in my den, putting my books into a state of lesser chaos on this bleak, cold, rainy Sunday. I cleaned up the clutter and installed my throne so I could finally have my reading space the way I want it. At least for now anyway.

Sorry you're not feeling well Janie, I hate getting colds, I think the worst thing about having a cold is the sore throat and being all stuffy and having a hard time breathing at night when you're sleeping, whenever I get a cold it seems to get worse at nighttime.
