What time is it and what are you doing?
It's 23.55I am having to give up and go to bed, despite having just SIXTEEN pages left to complete Black House. I've had 4 hours total sleep over the last 2 nights, and it's safe to say I am exhausted!!!!
So I am going to bed, and finishing it tomorrow!!
Goodnight, Goodreads
10:15 p.m. been reading for about an hour which feels like 2 hours because I'm so tired I can't stay awake, but I've got all weekend to read so I'm off to bed, good night everyone and hope everyone has a good weekend.
9:30 PM. Eating a late dinner. I made cheese ravioli, a really good spaghetti sauce, and French garlic bread. We have been packing again today. It's amazing how much packing you can do, and still not be done. I am just thankful we started early so we won't be packing last minute in a frenzy. I'm also thankful I have a yummy dinner to eat for the hard work. After dinner, I'm going to clean up the kitchen and maybe do more packing. I'm also going to treat myself to some reading and coffee. :)
10:51PM Wow ok I was our most of the day LOL So I did not get to read so I am thinking I might not finish triptych tonight. We will see though. I have my coffee and now I am sitting here on GR but will get back to reading. I did hit 351 out of 480 so maybe :/
Chuck I can sympathize with the lonliness of missing a pet. I still feel like my dog Dixie who we lost in 2012, should still be here and Bandit our pretty kitty as well. It is never easy to move on from it, that is for sure!

Back to my book...
6:11 am
I know I am up early here but I couldn't sleep any more on the couch what with not having a bed at the moment and all. Tonight and the rest of week I will be staying at my sister's place. My nephew is on Spring Break as well and they are going to be out of town visiting colleges.

8:49 a.m. On my way to Cracker Barrel with a friend, for breakfast! Then some much needed gardening; NC is expecting freezing temps Monday night, and I must protect my plants. Started The Dinner and, so far, so good.
8:40AM We have a cloudy day today, perfect for reading. I wanted to finish my book yesterday, but I was out most of the day, so I will finish today. About to get some coffee and start my morning off right, Heh! Good Morning GR!
It is 11:20 and it is snowing again. For a lift us up just made a banana pudding with my leftover bananas and I am having a cinnamon cafe au lait. Now just have to decide if I read or go back to my cross stitching. hmmmm Have a nice day everyone
Feel better, Victor!
11:27am EDT. Up all night again, not well mentally or physically. The only good thing is visiting with my younger son who is here for 2 days. He's leaving his border collie with us to dog sit for 3 weeks. Should be fun--when she and Charlie get to playing hard it's really a site to see. Don't plan to do any cooking today, I'll leave that to the men in the house. (They're very capable.) Right now I'm not even interested in reading, though that may change when Larry goes to pick up my new set of library books. For now I'm just going to sit on the couch and vegetate while my son is up at the gym working out.

11:58 AM Looking for some cute places to get tank tops and shorts for an inexpensive price for myself..I am 16 if anyone has any suggestions please let me know!!
11:23 AM. About to get a shower, then get busy on more packing. I read a little this morning, and I am really liking Rot and Ruin, but am only about six chapters in. Terri, I will be thinking about and praying for you. You know I am always here if you need me. I hope your son being in town cheers you up some. :) Plus, new books are always a plus! Oh, and a second Collie!!! Oh boy!!! (((HUGS)))

That happens to me too, Terri. I used to try to force my way through those slumps, but like you, I'll just turn on the TV now. I can usually get into those real old movies like they play on TCM. I feel like I've been doing that more and more this year. I'm actually liking broadcast TV more than DirecTV now because they play all that old stuff on the subchannels.
Thanks again everyone for your support. I usually don't talk very much about anything but books/reading, but this has really gotten to me. I thought I was going to be able to be stoic about this being I've been through this so many times, but I came apart when I went in that vet's office. I could barely even talk to those people. (I don't know how they could do that job. I'd end up in a padded room.) And now I can't quit thinking about just the whole experience with the vibe in this room.

Susan wrote: "Chuck, maybe you should get another kitty....?"Oh, NO--there ain't anyway. I still have two, but they're really low key. Pepper Jack is blind, and the other one, Mandy Kay, I adopted from Pet's Mart when she was 9 months old. They said she had been abused, and she's never forgot it either. Even 10 years later she doesn't have much use for people. You can't pick her up. You can barely even pet her without getting bit or scratched. But yeah, Baby Girl ruled the roost. I've had SO many cats over the years you wouldn't believe it. I'm never getting anymore, though. But, if I do it'll be a tom. ;) But I'm not.
8:59 PM. We got home a little bit ago after going to eat pizza with my dad. We have packed a lot of stuff today, and I almost feel motivated to pack a little more. Slowly, but surely. Lol. I read a bit more ZOMS!!!! aka Rot and Ruin, and Benny cracks me up. What a character. I'm tempted to order the second book...;) Anyways, I hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday. :) Alondra, I wish I could have breakfast and garden with you. Once we move, I will have to get some gardening tips from you. I can do a lot of it, but it never hurts to collaborate with a friend. :)
9:01PM Had soup tonight for dinner. I don't normally cook on days that my son works all day. Then I had a decent work out and watched a movie, The Butterfly Effect, after that. I am not sure what I will do now. Maybe start my next book, The King of Plagues! Hello JOE!
10:18 p.m. Just plan on reading for a bit and then hitting the sack.

I'm so sorry bubba, my heart hurts for ya. we had a crazy cat named pizza for 18 years that we lost 6 months ago, and I can tell you, I still think of him often. An old song comes to mind. "Love the ones(kitties), your with.
9.52am :) Just checking goodreads and then heading off, as its my eldest sons half sisters 3rd birthday today so my youngest and I are going to her party. (My eldest lives with his dad!) Taking a book with me, as we're going to a picnic in the park beforehand ;)
7:25 AM. Good morning, GR! I kind of wanted to sleep in a bit more, but I am pretty wide awake. Mark is still asleep, but I think I will get up, make coffee, and have some quiet reading time. It's been a while since I've done that. Today, we have a few things to do in regards to packing, but now there isn't much left except for the dishes, which...uh...I would like to have something to eat on and with. Those will be easy to pack, though. Anyways, happy Sunday, GR!
9:00AM Good Morning GR! Went to be early last night and slept pretty well. Enjoying some coffee right now. It is gonna be a pretty quiet day I think, so I will read! No plans for anything today either. The weather is a bit cooler today and actually yesterday too. Would love to take a walk today!

I just love them all differently I guess. I mean they really do have their own personalities, you know.
Morning GR.buddies. Hope everyone has a good Sunday. I making a big brunch for everybody and then hope to get to my book A Prisoner of BirthChuck ours was a big ol orange tabby with green eyes. Miss that silly guy. The kids want a kitten but I just am not ready.
I still have 5 pges of messages to go through, but wanted to stop and make a couple notes:Terri and Cindy, sorry you're having a rough time. Hope by now you're feeling better.
Kathryn, happy anniversary (late).
Chuck, my sincerest condolences on your loss. You are right, they never do stay with us long enough.
12:25 p.m. EST Took me awhile to make it back here - looks like 13 days or thereabouts. Whoops! And I still have to finish clearing out the new messages I haven't read yet. A quick update: the radiation oncologist said he thought I needed more aggressive treatment. Something with how this particular cancer progresses. Anyway, so we're doing aggressive chemo, ever two weeks for six months IIRC. Had my first treatment this past week and my next on April 1. Tuesday I have a biopsy on my liver, as the MRI showed a couple lesions and they need to see if it is cancer, since if it is they will need to add additional medicine. I had a port put into my arm last Tuesday - lots of interesting bruising around it, looks almost like cave painting. Otherwise I've been sleeping and e-mailing and social media and NetFlix. Nothing too strenuous.
Right, continuing through the rest of the messages. My apologies if I don't respond to something, my concentration sort of comes and goes.
Cindy, sorry to hear you ended up in hospital. I'm hoping to see an update in the next four pages telling me you're home and well. My thoughts are with you.Christine, sorry to hear you were sick. Feeling better?
Shell and Gary - it's a turvsy-topsy world...
Kathryn, sorry to hear you had a lot of stress, but glad you had some good rest and are feeling better.Terri, I used to bake bread all the time. I would use my mom's old VitaMix machine (back when they were made all of metal) to grind up a couple cups of actual wheat and mix that with white flour, sweeten the bread with honey instead of sugar. It was good stuff.
Heather, would that be a good or bad thing?
Alondra, glad you are enjoying Horns!
Ah, Heather *hugs* My biological mother was 14. If you need to talk, feel free to PM me.Chuck *hugs* to you as well. So sorry you're missing your Baby Girl. :-( You know as long as she's in your heart, she's never truly gone, right? But not having that physical presence, yeah, that's hard. Hang in there.
Cindy, glad you made it home! I was in 2 weeks this last time... O.o
1 p.m. EST Okay, all caught up again... until next time. I'm still WAY behind on Social media messages, but like always, will try to watch for GR messages and respond sooner. It's Facebook that's really slowing me down.Chuck, bless you for taking in the kitties. That poor abused kitty might not trust you, but ta least she knows now what it is to be safe and warm. I could never be without a cat or two. I tried when I first moved here - had pet rats - but it just wasn't the same. Don't misunderstand I LOVE rats, they're wonderful pets, but their lifespan is SO short... you're constantly having your heart broken.
Right, back to it. Maybe a nap, I'm not sure.
@2:18 Oh man, I just read Kathryn's comment over and I want pizza so bad right now, lol. I guess I'll have to settle for a Tony's today.
Feeling pretty dang good today. I hope I can get a few books finished today. I'm way behind schedule. Just can't seem to hit my gear.
This weather here in Texas is insane. We need to get Mother Nature a straightjacket.
Chuck, I saw a meme in January that said "Arctic, go home - you're DRUNK" The weather was up in the 70s for several days, but now for the next few days highs in the 50s. Weird and crazy weather all around.

Thank you, Katy. Thank you so much. I hope things are going well for you.

Went for a walk early this morning and I couldn't believe how cold the wind was.
What gets me is we can't just be gradually introduced to summer. No, one day it will be 90 degrees and they'll be no looking back.
4:31 P.M. Got some studying done, some reading done, and now I'm trying to get some of my writing project prep done.
