8:23am leisurely drinking cup of coffee waiting for puppy incessantly squeaking his favorite toy to wake up hub up. Another gray dreary day. I've been really bad about Morning Pages. I'll put it on the to-do list for tomorrow and will try to get back into the swing. Good day to read and spend some time in the kitchen.

Chris (cbrunner11) | 674 comments 12:16 PM and I am at work today, always hate working Sundays. We didn't get the ice and snow they predicted but it is cold and cloudy. The perfect day for a fire, book, and cooking. Can't wait to get home because I will build us a fire, cook dinner and then we are going to roast marshmallows with my son. Hope to get some reading in today as well.

3:06PM Got all my laundry done house vacuumed, grandblessing fed and still watching movies lol. Hub went to work. Now I am back checking in! Hope everyone is having a good day so far! Want to get close to done with my book today. We will see, hard to do when grandbaby is here. He will be going home today. Will miss him all week.

Rachel the Book Harlot 4:10pm Just had a long talk with my cat about the sins of using the entryway chair as his own personal urinal. My stern lecture apparently had no effect since he purred and rubbed his face on my forehead the entire time. *sigh* Something tells me there will be cat pee in my future.

LOL Rachel, males are horrible with that. Our cat is male and since he is not fixed he will mark on anything soft. He has pretty much narrowed it down to towels left in the guest bathroom that are on the floor. We leave that door shut but on ocassion it gets left open and in he goes. it is the worse odor in the world.

Haha, Rachel...Sorry to laugh, but you and I are in the same boat. One of my two cats has used my husband's bathroom mat as a letterbox twice in the last week. The only thing I can tell you from personal experience of having cats all of my life: 1. They are telling you to clean the litter box, 2. They are mad about a change or wanting attention, or 3. There is something wrong with them and need to go to the vet. Hope he stops doing that...I know exactly how you feel.

Rachel the Book Harlot Thanks, Guys. :) His issue is similar to Janie's situation. Since he hasn't been neutered (yet), he loves soft surfaces. He seems to have a special affinity for that darned entryway chair, though. *sigh* I know I should get him fixed but I feel bad for him and his little ballies. Poor little fella.

Alondra Miller I am sorry on posting about brownies. I know how addictive their chocolaty goodness must be. So from now on I won't mention anything referring to chocolate; not even the Kahlua with cream and whipped topping with just a light drizzle of chocolate over top.

:D

One thing I cannot take is a cat spraying. One this triggers my allergies big time. Two I do not want my house smelling like spray. I only had one cat that did this. My mom has 3 cats and none of them sprays.

Rachel the Book Harlot Veronica wrote: "Two I do not want my house smelling like spray."

It's absolutely awful. Smells like pure death. Thankfully, I bought a special spray called Wee-Wee, made by Four Paws, which is fantastic. It completely eliminates the odor. I'm also a clean freak so that definitely helps combat it. It also doesn't happen very often, which is good. Still, it looks as though I'm going to have to get him fixed soon.

No, definitely not. That's why I try not to leave anything lying around that will tempt him. I tried getting him a doggy bed once, and that was a disaster.

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) | 345 comments 12:36 p.m catching up, got one of the 2 reviews I needed to do done... wanting some brownies now, thanks a lot! As for the cats, ugh. My cat does that when he wants his litter changed. He's a punk. When I had other cats besides him, it was a lot worse. When I lived with a friend, I brought my cat, and she already had 2 cats, then someone dumped another one on us, and they were all male. All fixed, but still, it was like a war-zone in there sometimes, we had to have litter boxes in different parts of the house to control it. Now it's just me and my one cat, and he's not bad. I had to lol at him though, when my guy's son was living here with us, the cat would go #2 right in front of his bedroom door like once every couple of weeks. I think he just didn't like the little bastard because since he's moved out there's been no problems :O

10:46AM Enjoying my coffee, and GR. Hope everyone has a beautiful day.

Kit, cats are so like that. My sis in law has a cat, that if they were to scold her, she would go and squat on her bed and take a poop right there. LOL

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Let me join the chorus of wishing Kathryn a lovely day!

1:26 p.m. EST - just woke up, gave the cats some treats for using the toilet but letting me sleep and not demanding immediate payment for his trick (have one cat who fairly consistently does, but usually sets up a huge fuss insisting upon immediately rewarding for it, as does his brother, who is a little brat and quite opportunistic *grin*) and am preparing to go through my e-mail. Then I'll probably go back to sleep for another couple of hours, 'cause I had very little sleep yesterday and I'm drained...

It's 3:29am and I'm hanging out on GR. (Sorry I missed your birthday Kathryn--hope it was spectacular!!!) Been feeling really strange physically and emotionally for a few days, not really sure why. Can't get interested in anything to read which is most unusual. Just feeling out of it--not wanting to read, write, listen to music or really do anything. Hub is picking up a bunch of new library books tonight so hope that will help. Good morning to all on GR, make it a great day!!
