6:50 P.M. Just created my 2014 reading challenge. 60 books for the year seems like a respectable number. I'm already behind, though....

I set mine at 52, but I'm almost halfway there. But I think I'm coming to the end of the days when I can read like this, at least for a while.
7:38PM Had 4 cheese chicken and pasta for dinner, then had a pretty intense work out and now I am reading. I have gotten to read a lot today yay! I don't think I will be awake real late tonight though.
8:14AM Wow it seems pretty quiet in this thread lately. As it is gonna be quiet here this morning with Randy and Derek working and Kay in school. I love this kind of peace. So I am enjoying my coffee and Now I am gonna read.
9:19 a.m. EST Slowly trying to catch up with everything. Still in the hospital, just started back on food over the weekend. Having a rough start to my day, just not feeling well.Darcy, it was your child in the hospital, right? Sorry, there were a lot of messages to go through. I hope all is well.
Thanks to everyone for the thoughts and prayers. It means a lot to me.
Good Morning BW Buddies. The weather is finally giving us a break this week in TX. Here's wishing the same for the rest of you that have been in the deep freezer. Hope everyone has a great, productive week!
1:10PM Cleaned my house, have not read much yet today. Amy stopped by so that is always nice. Finishing the last load of laundry after I finish this.
1:29 PM Hoping to have a big reading day. Have a bunch of great stuff lined up. Getting back into genre fiction. Reading a kick ass thriller!
2:03 PM. Finished reading XO earlier, ate lunch, and am going to go run errands. I have a lot of stuff to do, so thankfully I feel 100% better. I will start Collateral when I get home, even though I want to start it RIGHT NOW. hahaha!
1:29 pm
I kinda had my afternoon class today all I really had to do was talk to my teacher and turn in a quiz. I have a drawing project that is due for that class on Wedseday. I have to work on it from home because of all the stuff I am using is too hard to lug to school with me. Because I didn't have much of an afternoon class today I am sitting in library catching up on some of my readings.

20.50pmBeen out all day seeing my eldest (he lives with his dad) and just got home. Read NOS4A2 on the journey and when my eldest was on time out, got another 8% read :)
Heading off shortly for a while to read another chapter or two of Magician
4:36 p.m. and I just got home. The temp service called this morning out of the blue and asked if I would be interested in a different job other than the one I've been waiting on. Duh!! Yes!! It even pays more and is Monday thru Friday with an occasional Saturday. Getting ready to read for a bit, but I'm so excited that I'm not sure if I can. I am so grateful.
I'm sitting down with my mom and we're watching reruns of The Walking Dead, The new season started just a couple weeks ago, tomorrow night we're planning on watching the newest episode. My mom loves The Walking Dead and I'm starting to get more and more into it, in a while I'll head up to bed to read. Have a good night everyone.
5:52 pm
My parents have to go pick my sister and nephew up from the airport so I have the house to myself tonight. I plan on watching the movie Anonymous it the one about whether or not the man we know as Shakespeare really did write all the plays credited to him. Then I plan to read in a couple of my books before going to bed.

1.10amI've read 8% of NOS4A2, 50+ pages of Magician and 25ish pages of Lirael today. I planned to read a little more of Lirael, but I am exhausted, and need to go to bed.
Sleep well Lucy!Cindy I posted a message earlier but it seems to have disappeared! Congratulations on your fantastic news, I'm so happy for you! :D :D
9:58 p.m. and I'm going to make an attempt at sleep. Got to get up early. YES!!
9:16PM Been doing some reading once Aeverie fell asleep, the only problem is that it's making my eyes droopy and I need to finish this at least by tomorrow!

I'm averaging about 200 pages a day. Of course, sometimes I have 500-600 page days and then only 100 pages a day for a couple days in row or whatnot, but it averages out to be about 200 pages a day-- last time I checked. Last spring I was reading a whole novel in a day, sometimes two. Can't seem to get into the kind of groove again, though. But we all read a lot. Janie reads about the same amount me most of the time and Terri, Katy, Angie and others leave me in the dust.
Its now 3.50am and I need to sleep!! Im sat on the edge of my bed and I keep coming back on goodreads. My cat is sprawled out next to me and I should put the TV on and move my nexus into another room so I can't keep logging on lol. I try and read at least 300 pages a day. I like to spread it out between a couple of books so that I can finish a short one in a couple of days.
6:38 PM. I have had a great day today getting some chores done and catching up on house stuff since I was sick all week last week. I also got about 100 pages read in Collateral by Ellen Hopkins, and my dad also stopped by to see me since he was out of town all week. He also had to come see his grand kitties and give them treaties. Mark is at a hospital dinner for only employees tonight, so I'm settling in to read until he gets home. I hope I can make some decent progress tonight in my book. I think some coffee sounds yummy....:)
8:43PM Took Aeverie to the playground tonight. He should be falling asleep too. We spent most of the afternoon together so now I get to read more. Ted Dekker is offering his novella, Water Walker, for free, so I snagged it and I am reading that. I could not help myself. I am already 92% done though. Then I will jump into Collateral by Ellen Hopkins. Enjoying some coffee and beautiful evening.
1:52 AM. Uh...I should probably stop reading and go to sleep now. LOL. Oops..didn't mean to stay up this late, but my book is so good!
Kathryn wrote: "1:52 AM. Uh...I should probably stop reading and go to sleep now. LOL. Oops..didn't mean to stay up this late, but my book is so good!"Mine too! Whatcha reading?
6:25 AM Good Morning All!! Wasting a little time before I push off to work. Dreading the 5 block walk to the subway. I know it is slippery. I need to invest into some cross country skiis.
Chuck, I'm reading Collateral by Ellen Hopkins. I will definitely finish it today. :) Veronica, hope you have a safe trip to work. I hate slipping on ice! Instead of skis, I'll send you some warm sunshine we've been having here in Dallas!!! It's been over 75-80 for a few days now. :)
Kathryn wrote: "Chuck, I'm reading Collateral by Ellen Hopkins. I will definitely finish it today. :) Cool, glad you're enjoying it. This morning I started reading the second book in the Travis Chase series by Patrick Lee--it's pretty awesome. I've already read over 100 pages of it and will probably finish it by noon. Don't know if I'll read the third one today or not. I've been feeling a bit under the weather. Also I want to read the new book he has out called
. This guy is so creative it's unbelievable. Definitely born to write genre fiction.I can already tell summer's not going to be fun.
6:43 AM Lately I have been averaging 20-30 pages a day:/ I think I need to get back into my 50 pages a day goal. I was finishing 4-5 books a month when I was doing my daily goals. I am so sick of this cold weather
Yesterday was 40 degrees amd melted about 6 inches of snow so I'm happy about that. I just want to walk out of the house with no coat on!
Feel better, Chuck!
9:27am EST. I've got a whole day to do only exactly what I want! Bliss...Got some great books I'm working on. Dinner is made already--leftover veg soup and spinach rosemary bread. Healthy and yummy. Charlie is outside playing int the mud. (oh joy). Feeling so much better since I got my pain meds back. Happy Wednesday to all!

Hi Chuck, hope you are feeling better soon. I have never heard of this author but his new one, Runner, sounds good. The Travis Chase series got really good reviews.
10:22 a.m about to brush my hair and get ready to run to the BMV to get plates for my car. Looks like I'll have to make a stop at the grocery store too, kiddo was mad that we were out of bananas for his breakfast...

11:40AM Loving my book, I think our buddy read is going well since we both like it!(Kathryn and I) The house is pretty quiet and I love that for the sake of reading. Will finish this book this evening some time I am sure. It flows very well, but then again it is Hopkins and I expect nothing less. It touches on our military and makes you realize some thing.
Chuck hope you get to feeling better!
Kathryn so glad you are enjoying this book as much as I am.

8:40PM Had spaghetti for dinner, then took Aves to the playground. Got home and worked out. Now Aeverie is asleep, I am enjoying some coffee and reading. I have not gotten to read as much as I liked to today. Oh well.
8:55 PM. Today I finished reading Collateral by Ellen Hopkins, and have already written my review. I still need to do my BookTube review, but that will have to wait until tomorrow. I had a great workout this evening, and it feels good to get back into the swing of things after last week. I made tuna casserole for dinner with peas. It was yummy, and just what I wanted. I got the dishwasher going afterwards. The Olympics are on, and I'm going to start Glass (Crank #2) by Ellen Hopkins here in a moment. My dad called and came by to drop off something, so I fed him dinner. He seemed happy to be fed. haha! Anyways, I'm going to go read now. :)
It's just about 10:00 and I'm just about to turn out the lights and go to bed, I'm still reading Clear and Present Danger and I'm now more than halfway through it. I've been getting a lot of down time so I've been reading more. Have a good night everyone.
