I know Chris. I have actually debated turning it off. The Seahawks were only a 2 point fav.

7:36pm Just got through watching the halftime show and might do some writing and reading. Overall, just glad to be relaxing.
Worst SB game I've ever watched. You would at least think it would be competitive.
Terri, I don't know yet. My consult is tomorrow.9:51 p.m. EST Just finished the final episode of Angel. I feel so depressed now. Probably doesn't help that I have slept maybe 2 hours in the last two days. I'll probably try again soon.

9:20 PM. My Seahawks WON! Sorry to rub it in, but I'm just so happy. This win is extra sweet because my husband is from Oregon, and by default, the 'Hawks are Oregon's main team. Dinner was delicious! The pineapple upside down cake was super yummy, too. I've got a sweet little Gizmo on my lap, so I am going to settle in and read Insurgent. :)
10:18PM Well Broncos totally embarrassed themselves with that performance! I only watched the last half of the game. I was not even planning to at all, but I had my work out and switched it back to TV and the game was there. LOL Started Under the Never Sky for the 'pick it for me' challenge. Should be a quick read. Has not really grabbed me though so we will see.
Can't sleep, Cindy. I'm too uncomfortable. I managed about 2 hours tonight.2:41 a.m. EST Yeah, that two hours of sleep left me more tired, but... I'll take what I can get. Clearing out e-mail.
6:32 a.m. EST Wow, the last Sleepy Hollow is a corker! But what to watch now... Can't sleep, too much pain.
3:34pm doing some science work and reading in between, still feeling ill so I've been trying to relax all day. getting more tablets then back to my book!
9:43AM Kay swore she did not feel well this AM. So she stayed home. I think she is pulling the wool over my eyes, or trying to. Enjoying some coffee and will read here in a bit.
10:52 a.m. EST Drat, it wasn't available to stream and I'm too lazy to go track down my DVD. Watched The Addams Family and a Russell Peters stand-up routine. Suppose I'll keep at it.
11:00 AM. Finally awake after some coffee. It is pretty chilly, so I'm going to stay warm and read. Need to get some laundry started, do the dishes, and read, read, and read some more. :)
Its 5.20pm here and after a busy weekend I'm trying my best to catch up mwith everything on goodreads.
Katy, best of luck on your consult tomorrow. I have had over 10 major surgeries on my bowel, so if you have any questions, maybe I can help.
1:07pm EST. Having a lazy day, just doing laundry and reading. The sun is out and all the snow has melted, so my back yard is a mud pit. Charlie so enjoys having his feet washed every time he comes in--NOT! It's hard to get mad at him though, he's just so darn cute. Got disgusted with the Super Bowl so turned it off at halftime and took a good book to bed. Happy Monday everyone!

Thanks, Terri. My appointment is in 45 minutes. How long are you usually out of action for one of these? How invasive are they?2 p.m. EST Appointment in 45 minutes. Pain really, really bad.
1:08PM Have been doing a lot of reading today. The had picked up for me which is good. So I am enjoying it more now.
1:56pm watching Aladdin with my 3 year old. I'm very frustrated. I'm reading Graceling by Kristen Cashore. It's gotten good reviews here on GR. My 15 year old also liked it. I'm on page 73 & I don't like it. idk....
I plan on reading that whole series. I have not looked at any reviews though. Sorry you do not like it Darcy. Maybe it will get better for you?
Well this book I am reading, Under the Never Sky, I could not get into myself till about page 75. And now I am loving it. Makes me happy that it got so much better. I think I had a hard time with it because it seemed a bit confusing in the beginning like stuff was not explain very well, not descriptive enough. maybe it was because I started it late last night. LOL
4:23 p.m. EST The mass is cancer. I have surgery on Friday. Meanwhile, I have an editing project I need to try to do.
Katy, I am so sorry to hear the mass is cancer. At least you are going to get it removed quickly. I hope your recovery is quick and smooth, and the surgery goes well. Let us know if there is anything we can do for you.
Katy wrote: "4:23 p.m. EST The mass is cancer. I have surgery on Friday. Katy, I'm so sorry about your news. I hope you can maintain a positive attitude, though I know that's hard. Your recovery will depend on exactly what kind of surgery they end up doing and whether or not you get chemo. At one time I had both a colostomy and an ileostomy--have they discussed anything like that with you? The good thing for me was that I had tremendous pain before surgery, and that was very much better afterwards. You're fairly young, so you have that going for you. Katy, you'll be in my thoughts and I'm sending you good vibes and as much positive karma as I possibly can.
6:55 PM. Tonight we're having leftover green chile pork stew and cornbread. Sooooooo glad we're having it because it sounds so yummy on a cold, dreary night like tonight. It's been an overcast, cold day all day, and I'm hoping we get some sunshine soon. Going to make some coffee soon and try to knock out a big chunk of Insurgent. Mark is saying he's bored, so, we'll see how my plan fares out! haha!Oh, at lunch, I made a turkey sandwich. I went to grab my glass of water, and when I walked back to my plate, Gizmo was on the counter trying to take a bite out of it. haha! What a brat.
Katy I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I'm glad that they can do the surgery so quickly and I hope that you will be in a lot less pain afterwards. Wishing you all the very best for a speedy recovery. You will be in my thoughts my friend xo
Thanks, everyone. I appreciate the thoughts, prayers, and energy. Terri, the doctor said it will depend upon what he finds when he goes in there. I might need a colostomy temporarily, but we'll see.
8:57 p.m. EST Haven't slept much for days. Gonna give it a try.
Katy, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs to you!
912pm-looking out my window at yet more snow and we're getting another storm in a few daysKaty- You're in my thoughts and prayers-wishing you a full and speedy recovery.
9:52PM Had leftovers for dinner, had my work out and also enjoyed some coffee although I may have more coffee. Finished Under the Never Sky. It was pretty good. I am about to start Flyte by Angie Sage. This will be a reread for me.
2155 CST. Back at work after a relaxing week's vacation of movies, reading (got through the 1200+ pages of The Count of Monte Cristo), birthdays, an uninteresting Superbowl (with even more uninteresting commercials). The hotel didn't fall into ruin while I was gone. I'm expendable. Oh well, back to work.
The only commercial that I really liked during the Superbowl was the Budweiser commercial with the dog befriending the horse. I loved that one.
