It's always fun to see everyone around him cracking up... I was watching the one with Bernadette Peters and Tim Conway where they did a sort of Exorcist spoof and everyone was losing it. Love it...
6:10 p.m. EST Another day where I didn't want to wake up and then when I did I've been doing all kinds of stuff on-line. Need to clear all this out and set up for my next book, have four books to read in the next couple weeks...
5:46PM Well the sleet ended I'd say around 1:00PM. It is still very cold outside though. Tomorrow we may try to make a trip into town. We will see what happens. I have been mostly texting with Kathryn and reading today...lol Making some progress with Cujo. Will work out in maybe an hour or so, and then will get some coffee and read more. I would love to finish this book by tomorrow.
I noticed on the weather map today that it was -11 out in Montana where my dad lives. My stepmother said it was -20 in the morning and the high was -5. It hit 76 here in Georgia today, but it's cooling back off tomorrow.6:50 p.m. EST Suddenly sleepy. Think I'll try a nap.
7:34pm ET. Nice day today, and free food on the company. Christmas party today; but no carbs for me... :D
Janie wrote: "Katy here in Texas we had 75 degrees 2 days ago, and now at 27 today!"Sounds like Georgia weather! Hope the cold doesn't last too long.
12:38 a.m. EST Managed a short nap but Fluff woke me. Just reading one of my Vine books.
9:24AM Well today is not much different than yesterday except that it is 11 degrees colder than yesterday. We are pretty much having a lock in and I am getting Cabin Fever. I hate knowing we can't get out safely if we want to. The Sun needs to make an appearance! Please Mr. Sun!?
10:38am EST. Well, finished Allegiant last night. Was not too surprised with the ending. Overall, a very enjoyable series. I think I would have enjoyed it better if I had read it all at once. Hence, there was a full year in between each book. Wiki helps some, but not as much as I had hoped. Went to the gym this morning and feel accomplished. Week 2 of less sugar, no red meat, no sweet tea (WTF), no sweets, and smaller portions. I am not as pissy as I thought I would be, but pissy I am... hehehehe. Ah, well; people will deal with it.
Hope everyone has a great day...
10:40 AM. Good morning, GR! My dad had to stay the night because yet didn't restore power after the ice storm until some time in the early morning hours. Making breakfast: scrambled eggs, sausage links, and biscuits. And of course, coffee. Dad is going to leave a bit later and check on his house. As Janie said, it's supposed to be colder than yesterday, so there isn't much hope of getting out or of any of this thawing out. I kind of am getting cabin fever, as well. Oh well...Today, Mark and I are going to decorate our tree, since we didn't do it yesterday, and I'm going to put out my Christmas decorations and fix my wreath since Pepper messed it up. I'm also going to read and read and try to finish The Ocean at the End of the Lane. I am really enjoying it. Stay warm and safe everyone!
Kathryn wrote: "10:40 AM. Good morning, GR! My dad had to stay the night because yet didn't restore power after the ice storm until some time in the early morning hours. Making breakfast: scrambled eggs, sausage l..."glad power is back on, i hate when that happens, and it happened every year for about 4 years after we first moved here. NC is notorious for ice storms. we were without power for about a week+ and had to send the kids to SC to the in-laws because it was so cold.
glad he is safe with you guys.
I am on my way over for breakfast.... but tree decoration?? i don't even feel like putting up a tree.. maybe just some lights. mmmm
11:00 AMTurns out this is better sleeping weather than reading weather. When I got up it was 19 degrees with a windchill of 6!
Enjoying the hell out of WOLF HALL. It's certainly not the easiest read though. It has a stream-of-consciousness type thing going on that's causing me to re-read parts. It's excellent, though. I would like to listen to this one on audio. But, I don't think I'll be able to hold off until I can get it. Of course, I never know what I'm going to read. I could drop everything I'm reading immediately if something else strikes me as interesting. That's how I roll: I am a wild and crazy kind of guy! ;)
11:01AM Well one thing is for sure the dogs love this weather. LOL They have doubled the amount of times they have gone outside. And I feel very thankful for having a fence up! It would majorly suck having to take them out. I am gonna start reading now and hopefully finish this book some time this evening.
We only put our tree up this year for Aves he loves the lights and since we are going to Indiana for Christmas this year we did not think the tree was essential. But Amy asked if we would put it up for Aeverie, and well, anything for my grand blessing.
Kathryn sounds like you had a great breakfast, Hub made breakfast for us this morning eggs, toast, hash browns. I can't eat the breakfast sausage, my insides do not like it. LOL

My stepmother wrote me yesterday that it was -11 (this was in the early evening) and with the windchill it was -25 up in eastern Montana (according to my nephew).4:33 p.m. EST Feeling bad again. Why won't this stop? *sigh* Probably read and then try to take a nap, but I'm hurting pretty badly today.
4:03 PM. Just finished decorating our Christmas tree and putting out all of my Christmas decorations! I don't have too many because they say you accumulate as you age, and at 28, I guess I'm still starting out. But, I do have quite a few. The house looks great and even managed to fix my Christmas wreath Pepper semi-destroyed. Looks beautiful on the door. :)
Tree is up no decorations yet. Getting the darn cold that everybody in the house already had:(. I'm always well to take care of them and then I get it. Hubby had to go out to pick up my sons stranded girlfriend. Poor thing, but now that she is here, she's here to stay. He said the roads were ridiculous!! He saw 3 accidents in three miles. Making Cornish Game hens with garlic, fresh rosemary and white wine for din din.
5:10 pm
Reading Lady Chatterley's Lover and watching a little bit of the news. Then my mom and I are going to watch Supernatural. Hope everyone is safe and staying warm during this crazy wealthier we're having right now.

9:04PM Working on finishing up Cujo, and I am really irritated with one of the characters right now because of her stupidity! Had a great dinner, was like Thanksgiving all over again! Then had a great workout and shower, now enjoying coffee and my book!
10:14 p.m. EST Just can't manage to do more than doze for a bit. I hope my doctor will be able to do something to help with the pain until I can make an appointment with a gastroenterologist.
9:38 PM. I have a sweet baby Gizzie bear sleeping on me. She just won't leave me for some reason...Reading and really enjoying this Gaiman story. Thinking about making some chocolate coffee...mmmm..
11:33 p.m. EST Erasmus has decided it is time to sleep under the covers, I guess. He came and crawled under the covers with me this evening. About to start on my other Vine book, then next up is the 900+ page Hexslinger omnibus for a blog tour week after next.
12:30AM Finished Cujo almost an hour ago, wrote my review and now gonna start my next read, Unforgettable. This is different for me, but I wanted to try something a bit out of my comfort Zone. Should be a quick read. House is pretty quiet, hub went to bed, and Kay is also sleeping. Gonna take advantage of the peace and read a bit longer.
8:34am just finished The woman in black: angel of death. still got an hour or two before my family comes over so I'm going to start my next book
5:11 a.m. EST Napped for maybe an hour at a time, keep waking up, so pooh. I'll sit up now for awhile.
Kathryn wrote: "I have!! I miss Tim, too! I actually don't like Alyssa Milano hosting. Seth Aaron is my favorite, but he was my favorite of his season he won. What about you?"
I'm with you 100%. I think Alyssa Milano dresses really strangely. Her clothes just don't look right on her. (meow, scccccratch)
Sorry about all the cold for you folks in Texas. We got about 5 inches of snow yesterday, which I really love. I've got about half the Christmas shopping done (I shop online) so that's a really good feeling. I'm struggling with the menu planning. We're having the actual Christmas celebration on the Sat before Christmas, because my younger son has to work on Christmas. So I have to plan Christmas Eve and Christmas with him, and then we'll have the actual Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It gives me so much opportunity to cook! But it's a lot in a short space of time, plus you have to add in the baking.
Chuck, gook luck on Wolf Hall! I had to abandon it, just couldn't get it.

8:53AM So looks like we may venture out today, which would be awesome. I have cabin fever pretty badly! Enjoying some coffee and maybe read more before we go!
10:15 AM. Good morning, GR! We stayed up too late, so I've only been up for about 15 minutes. Looks like another day at home...The weather experts are saying we will have a few hours of melting later, but it won't likely do very much...I need to get some laundry done, and dishes, read, and I'm going to cook a pork loin, dill and butter potatoes, and fresh green beans for dinner.
Terri wrote: "Chuck, gook luck on Wolf Hall! I had to abandon it, just couldn't get it. "Thanks Terry! I'm really enjoying it. So much so, that I am going to get the audiobook for it and BRING UP THE BODIES and try dragging it out for all it's worth, hehe. I think I know why people may have a problem with it. It has like this third person, stream-of-consciousness thing going on--I'm not exactly sure what you'd call it-- but I know, I, for one, can't blaze through it like I would other books. I often re-read pages and end up laughing at myself for what I thought it meant the first time I read it. It just a different style I guess, but it's been really good so far and I bet the audiobook is amazing.
Janie wrote: "8:53AM So looks like we may venture out today, which would be awesome. I have cabin fever pretty badly! Enjoying some coffee and maybe read more before we go!"I wish I could get out. I really wanna to get to the store but they're not even open. I've only seen one truck going by all day. The roads are just a real mess out here.
7:36 p.m. EST Well, it's cooled down in Georgia, but still not as cold as most of y'all. We are supposed to have rain all week, so I hope it doesn't dip down into freezing so we end up with ice! I slept all day, in bits and pieces (that is, I'd wake up, then go back to sleep). Should have washed my hair a couple days ago when it was warm, but oh, well... so my back is cold and wet! I have an appointment with my GP tomorrow, FWIW. Maybe he'll have some ideas of something I can do about the pain I'm having.
6:54PM Well had my day out! It was really nice to get out today. Took us 1 hour and 15 for a normal 20 min trip into Denton. But by the time we were heading back the roads were decent. The plows finally got out there and scraped up the slushy mess. So that is good. had a cup o coffee, gonna do a work out and then read the rest of the night. Kay still does not have school for tomorrow. They probably do not trust our bus drivers lol.
8:33 p.m. EST I have a blog post to set up for later this week, and then... I think I'll read. I'd like to watch Star Trek, but I have a couple books I need to read before a tour post, so...
1:10 AM. I can't believe Mark is still awake. He's as bad as me. I did some laundry, dishes, and watched football. For dinner, I marinated a pork loin roast in mesquite with lime liquid marinade and a dry mesquite rub, made some roasted potatoes with onions, garlic, and paprika, and we had some peas. I also made some yeast rolls. Watched a bit more football, texted with Janie, and then made a Youtube video. No reading today because of football and all of my other stuff. Oh, I also bought two of Mark's Christmas presents online. One is his big gift. I'm excited about it because he has wanted this for a looooooong time. Anyways, I should go to bed now. Goodnight, GR.
2:23AM Yes I am still awake. I figured since school was closed again I would stay up a bit and read and prepare coffee for Randy. He did just leave for work and I pray he gets there safely. He said if it is too bad then he will turn around and come home. The roads were much better but since it got below freezing again overnight, a lot of it could have refroze causing more problems. I will stay up a bit longer and see if he returns home and then it is nighty night time.
10:06 AM. Mark is still trying to thaw out the car...He decided to take my car instead of his truck because he feels it will be safer. Going to start some coffee and eat some oatmeal. I woke up later than usual because....ugh....we had a rough night. At about 4 or 5 AM, there were some squirrels in our attic fighting. And of course, right over our bedroom. The bad thing is, we don't know how they are getting in there, and Mark doesn't want to kill them. However, that's looking like our only option. :/ Anyways, going to finish up The Ocean at the End of the Lane, write my review, do my review video, and possibly do another BookTube video. I will also get my workout. Not going to the grocery store, even though I REALLY NEED TO GO. Mark said he would rather wait until he could go with me so he knows I'm safe with all of the ice.
10:27AM Been busy this morning cleaning up, still have to vacuum. So will get to that once I finish my coffee. Also doing laundry, last load going in the dryer. Randy made it to work ok, so that was a relief, I stayed up till 3:30AM so I could hear that he got there ok. Today actually would have been the ideal day to go out, rather than yesterday! Oh well what can ya do. The thinker was not thinking! LOL
12:44 p.m. EST Saw my GP today, he gave me some Donnatal and set me up with a gastroenterologist for Wednesday. I hope the Donnatal a) works and b) doesn't make me too goofy (it does have phenobarbitol in it, after all). I have editing to do today!
7:45pm. feeling a little disappointed... i read hardly anything this weekend except the TV and the inside of my eyelids. feeling deprived; so early night for me, so i can get in at least 50 pages. :O
8:06PM Found out that we won't have Aeverie this week at all. Amy's room mate is graduating College and her family is in and staying with them and said they would look after Aves so he could play with Leighton. So it will be a very quiet week. Had leftovers for dinner and had a work out. Now I plan on reading so I can finish my current read.
meh just realised I wasn't receiving notifications about updates to this thread :/ I hate to think how much I've missed out on since I last posted here. I was thinking to myself that it felt like awhile since I heard what everyone was up to... now I know why!! I am so mega busy at the moment that I don't have time to go back through everything I've missed so I hope that you are well and I haven't missed any monumental life changing events in anyone's life! Will make sure I stay up to date from now on :)
:::gasp::: Michelle you will miss my book buying if you don't read it all. LOL J/K All is well. And I hate when I don't get notifications.
All is well. Freezing here. Kids have been out of school going on three days. I'm getting over a flu that has had me down for two days.:( So glad I am having this now instead of later. So much left to do. Reading Christmas books and making lists.
hahaha Janie! I will have to go back and have a look when I have more time! Glad you are well :)Susan, so sorry to hear that you haven't been well. I hope you start to feel better soon. I know a lot of people love cold weather but I really can't stand it so I'm feeling for you guys at the moment! {{{HUGS}}}
1:35 AM. I should have gone to bed a long time ago. Oh well. Anyways, I finished The Ocean at the End of the Lane today, did lots of laundry, which didn't get all of the way done but will finish tomorrow, and all of a sudden, in walks Mark earlier than I had expected him since he didn't go in until 10 because of the icey roads. After he got home, he watched a little t.v., then said he wanted me to go to Home Depot with him. We picked up Pei Wei for dinner since I REALLY need to go to the grocery store. He said he'd take me after he gets off of work tomorrow because he's going to take my car again, and he doesn't want me driving his truck because there is still ice on the roads and I can barely reach the pedals to drive his truck. Don't want to make an already potentially dangerous situation, even more dangerous. haha! So, we came home, we ate, then he put the squirrel trap up in our attic, watched the Cowboys lose, :((((, wrote my review for The Ocean at the End of the Lane, did a workout, got a shower, and by this time, he was about off to bed. I've been watching BookTube videos, and really needing to go to bed. I didn't make the videos I had planned to make because Mark went to bed, and I didn't want to bother him. So, I will make them tomorrow. :) My new read is a buddy read with Janie, and it is Roadside Crosses, which is the second book in the Kathryn Dance series/trilogy by Jeffery Deaver. I'm super excited to get to this book. I probably should have been reading it instead of being on YouTube, buuuuut Youtube can be addicting. I'm sure Katy can attest to this. :) Anyways, goodnight, GR!
