11:18 a.m. EST *groans* I do not want to be awake, but simply could not sleep. I'm tired. Oh, well. I'll read for awhile; once hubby is off to work it'll be Star Trek time again...

11:00AM Had my coffee, did my vlog, it is uploading, and now I am gonna finish this book finally. Seems I have been so busy the last few days that I have not had quality time to read. But today I shall read all day! LOL Nah won't take that long I only have about 100 pages to go.

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 1:17 p.m. EST Realized I have a few more books to read than I thought this month. Oh, well, I'll still have plenty of time for Star Trek.

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 1:05 PM. Sitting here at a wood store Mark frequents. Today is Small Business Saturday, so everywhere we plan to go are small businesses. As soon as I got up, I got ready to go, we left and paid rent, got some breakfast, and now we're here. After this, we are going to the bookstore and for a drive. We both feel like just driving around. I brought my Kindle so I can read P&P. Later I plan to do some YouTube videos, and I really hope to finish P&P today. Have a wonderful Saturday, everyone!

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 10:21 p.m. EST Having troubles again, so the Star Trek watching is going slowly, but on the plus side I'm having a few minutes every 10 or so to read... O.o Just finished Ep. 4. They're in release order, I think; I know when I was watching the series this one was usually counted as the first, but ... Anyway, not sure what's up next, will find out in a few minutes!

Definitely donating a lot this year. 1 1/2 years in this house, so just starting to figure out what we need and don't need. Somebody else needs it. Sorrrry, I missed that... Your husband does laundry?? Is he from this hemisphere? Where did you get him can I get one? Lol. I know the boys know that they make noise, but are still not completely aware of what they do. Kidddding...kind of. :D

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 12:30 AM. Wow. I cannot believe it's already past midnight. I've been working on some Youtube (BookTube) videos for my channel. I got them posted, finally. It takes longer than I always anticipate. After we went and bought wood for Mark for his projects, we went for a drive and ended up at the bookstore Janie and I met at. UNFORTUNATELY, I didn't have time to call her and get to see her, but I did text her and tell her we should plan a day out again. After the bookstore, we came home, and I played with Gizmo and Pepper. They are acting like they are neglected. Yeah...right. I started to make my videos, but then my dad wanted to take us out to eat, so he came over, picked us up, and we went to Abuelo's for Mexican food. Then, we went to Academy, and Dad took us home. He stayed for a bit, and Mark gave him a really nice rain-proof coat for my dad to take out in the field since it is about to start getting really cold where he's about to go to next. Mark never uses the coat, and it was expensive. After he left, I started making and uploading videos. I can't believe how long it can take some times. Oh well...I'm pretty tired, but I want to read some, so maybe I'll make some coffee. :) Hope everyone had a great night.

Susan, I am so sorry...I keep forgetting to write you back. (((Hugs))) to you, too! I wrote a blog post about Thanksgiving. It was AMAZING. I hope your's was wonderful, too. Missed you! :)

I'm sure your Dad will appreciate the warmth of the coat. A great, Christmas "story" in the making....? Signing off to fall asleep to my book. Sleep has been a commodity. Happy Dreams:)

8:55AM Sitting here sipping my coffee and uploading a vlog. I have to record my November wrap up/review/December TBR. Good grief! LOL But I love to do it. 'Book Tube' is a lot of fun. I wish I could get more of my GR to do book Vlogs *hint hint*. I have had a blast finding others to sub to and watch. Gives me great ideas on what books to read. So anyway, plan on doing that and I think I am sposed to start Cujo with Michelle.

Kathryn I watched both of your vlogs! Amazing job girl! Although I had to stop watching most of your update video because I think I might wanna read Pride and Prejudice, so I took the advice and skipped through those spoilers. LOL My next video is uploading, a new series so check it out in about 30 min. LOL

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 7:55 PM. Well, after several hours on YouTube, I did the dishes, swept my house, and watched a little football. Super happy the Broncos won. I have been feeling like working out today finally, so I did a 30 minute run. Not bad for not having worked out for a week. It felt so nice getting back into it. After my workout, I got a shower, put a conditioning treatment on my hair, rinsed it out, and heated up some Thanksgiving leftovers. I'm stuck with eating them because Mark HATES leftovers. It doesn't really bother me, since I don't mind eating leftovers, but I wish now I'd given more food away. haha! Now, I'm catching up on GR notifications, eating dinner, and watching a little NFL. I'm looking forward to reading in a little bit. :)

Just finishing up what is probably my new book of the year: Life and Times of Michael K. I think I'm in the mood to read a whole novel again today but I have no idea what to read. I am just SO TIRED of hunting books to read. I bet y'all are tired hearing about it too, heh.

LOL Chuck you bet we are tired of hearing it. hehe! J/K I do the same thing. I wish time could just stop for a week and I could read everything I own. I started making myself a list of books to read each month and I am hoping I can actually stick to it. We will see. I think it will help me out each month. I m also gonna try and go back to the 1 book system. It seems I read more that way.

Yeah, that's hard to do. I've tried and tried to stick to a list but I'm often not in the mood I was when I made the list, lol. I should probably give that another try, though. I'm just wasting way too much time that I could spend reading.

message 8381: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 11:58 AM. Good late morning, GR! I woke up later than I had anticipated, but I didn't go to sleep until almost one because I was reading. And no...I didn't just wake up. I've been up for a few hours, actually. LOL. I ate breakfast, checked out notifications on Facebook and GR, and unloaded and loaded the dishwasher, then started it. I finally am getting settled in to read a bit, after I checked out my YouTube notifications. Gizmo is walking all over my right arm trying to figure out what she wants to do, as I type this, so I'm hoping she settles down and figures out if she wants to sit with me, or have more window-time, where she sits in the window and watches birds and squirrels. SPEAKING OF GIZMO.....Thursday she will be 6!! I don't want her to be 6!!!! Yes, it's her birthday, and even though technically she was born in late September, I say the day I got her is her special day. Being a pet-mommy is hard sometimes. But, enough of that. I'm just glad she's mine to love and take care of. :) Going to read now!! I'd like to finish P&P today, so I better get to it!

message 8382: by Katy (new)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Chuck, if you keep track of unread books here in GR, why not go to your TBR list, see how many books are there, and then go to Random.org and select one at random (put in the book count), see if that helps. :-)

3:05 p.m. EST Let hubby oversleep, lost track of time. Then watched some earworm videos: 3Oh3!'s "Don't Trust me" and Of Monsters and Men "Little Talks", and Carly Rae Jensen's "Call me Maybe". Editing to do!

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 8:00 PM. Had a really great workout today, then came in and started turkey taco soup. Usually, I would have made this with chicken or ground beef. I didn't want to waste turkey leftovers, and it is delicious! I made it with corn, onions, kidney beans, Mexican rice, and put sour cream and cheese on top. YUM-O. And pretty healthy, too. Mark is watching football. GO SEAHAWKS!!!! He's from Oregon, so that's one of his teams. Going to read after I eat my soup. :)

Hub bought me the Percy Jackson series. That makes me very happy. Plus he let me order Perfect and Triangles. 7:19am EST. Good morning GR!! Today is Larry and my 37th wedding anniversary! It's hard to believe it's been that long. (I was a child bride LOL.) There's something really special about such a long-term relationship. We've been through so much together--and I wouldn't trade a second of it. Engraved on his wedding band is "You're my home", and that's even more true today that when I wrote if all those years ago. (Actually, it's from a Billy Joel tune.) A good marriage truly makes life complete. Larry took the day off, so we're just going to spend the day together and do whatever spontaneous thing pops up. Hope you all have a great day too!

7:59AM Good Morning GR! The house is quiet at the moment. Randy is at work, Kay left and hour ago for school, and Aeverie and Derek are still asleep. So I am enjoying my coffee, did a vlog for family for Vlogmas day 3. Gonna read now and enjoy a bit more quiet before making breakfast for Aves and I.

Happy 37th Anniversary Terri! How wonderful! Randy and I will celebrate our 15th come March. And I so agree, A good marriage does make life complete!

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 9:45 AM. Good morning, GR! I think I need more coffee. I didn't go to sleep until about 1 AM because I was reading, and then woke up at 7 AM when Mark left for work. Last night, he told me he signed us up for his hospital's Christmas party, which is this Saturday night. I need to go find a dress since it is a semi-formal event, so I'm going to get up and go find one. I also need to run to the post office and bank, so I think I will hurry and up get moving so I can come back home and read. Anyways, hope everyone has a wonderful day. If you'd like to volunteer to do any of my errands and pick out a dress for me, you're more than welcome to do it! :) HAHA, jk!

Terri, Happy Anniversary!!! I hope you have a wonderful and fun day with your husband. Being married is such an awesome gift when you have a great marriage. Mark and I've been married almost four years (March), and I am looking forward to being married as long as you and your husband. :)

message 8393: by Katy (new)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Oh, happy anniversary, Terri! What a wonderful thing to be with the one that completes you. I was married for the first time at 19; if I'd stayed with him it would be 24 years, but I was divorced from him by the time I was 23, then married my second husband in 1996, but of course that one didn't take either... Hee. Dmitry and I will celebrate 12 years this February, though.

1:29 p.m. EST Managed a bit of sleep. I managed to eat some pasta this morning, too; we'll see if that causes another episode. I sure hope not, I'm so tired of this soft-food diet and want to eat REAL FOOD.

message 8394: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 2:20 PM. Well, after about three hours of dress shopping, which actually went pretty quickly...I found THE dress, and it wasn't too expensive. I'm so thankful for being able to send pictures on cell phones, because I sent my narrowed down choices to my sister in law and she and one of my nieces, who is 5, helped me pick out my dress. Lillian, my niece, basically said, 'SHE HAS TO GET THE BLACK AND WHITE ONE!!" haha, too cute! So, I bought the black and white one. I just hope Mark likes it. I also found I have the perfect shoes for it, so that's a relief. I'm just eating some leftover soup from last night, and catching up on GR.

Janie, we got married on the 13th. What day did you and Randy get married on? :)

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 10:59 PM. We had a late dinner tonight because Mark was working on the guitar he's building. I did read a little bit while he was outside. I had a great workout earlier, and I think tomorrow I'm going to try to workout earlier than I did today. I did show my dress to Mark, and he really liked it and said it would be perfect for Saturday. I've been sitting here looking at several different used book sites trying to buy some cheap books. Either the books really aren't that cheap, or the shipping is OUTRAGEOUS. So, I finally settled on ordering on Amazon since I do have a gift card. Janie, you will be happy to know, I ordered Identical by Ellen Hopkins. I chose that book because you just read it, but also because it's a standalone. I paid $0.55 for a hardcover, and $3.99 for shipping. I'm sorry...but why can't I find a place where I can order books if I need to and have them be inexpensive books and free or cheap shipping? I know, I'm asking WAY too much in the book buying department..I just had to gripe for a second. It seems like it's cheaper for me to wait and look for them on clearance at HPB.

Yea Kathryn, unfortunately we can't get away from shipping costs. I can see paying it for one book, but why order 2 books from the same place and get charged twice for shipping? This is what annoys me! Hehe glad to hear you got Identical though! And if I ever come across anymore Hopkins when I am out I will pick them up.
